2021 FORD MUSTANG MACH E Forward Collision Avoidance Warnings Problems

The front camera system has failed. The cables need replacing, which was diagnosed by a Ford dealer. I have no collision assist, no cruise control, no lane keeping abilities, nothing that has to do with the camera in front. This is a known problem that Ford is not admitting to. All years of the Mach-E are having this issue, frequently. It has put myself and others on the road in danger by not being able to function as it should. Every time I turn the car on I get multiple warnings on the dash concerning these issues. This is not the only problem and safety issue I've had with this car in less than 9 months of owning it. Something must be done to hold Ford accountable.

After having my front windshield replaced due to a recall my front camera quit working properly. This happened a year ago. Since then I have had a warning come up on my dash ever time I start my car saying the front camera has a fault and the front collision avoidance does not work. Additionally this effected the following. I have no cruise control, no blue cruise, no lane keeping assist, no self park, no adaptive cruise control and no accident avoidance system functions. There was a service bulletin issued but it should be a recall as it effects anyone that has had the windshield replaced. Apparently the wires that connect the camera are ridiculously fragile and when the windshield was replaced they were damaged. It would appear that after the recall repair my car is experiencing problems that we’re supposed to be addressed with the recall. All systems are constantly malfunctioning.

Began to receive error messages stating "Front Camera Fault" and "Forward Collision Detection Fault". For a while it fixed on its own, then the messages started to become more and more frequent until now the error messages come up every time we turn on the car. With the malfunction that is happening with front camera and collision detection, it prevents cruise control from being used (which is adaptive) and forward collision warnings are not working/inactive. The lack of both of these systems presents a safety issue. The car has been taken to the local Ford dealership which has determined what needs to be replaced (the front camera and cables connecting the camera). However the parts must come from the Ford manufacturer and there is current no ETA that the dealership is being given for the parts to be delivered. Driving my Ford Mustang Mach-E has always been a source of joy, but a recent 250-mile road trip unveiled a concerning issue. The dashboard flashed an error message at least 10 times, warning of "Service Front Camera" and "Pre-Collision Assist Unavailable." Each occurrence led to the disengagement of the adaptive cruise control, stripping away my confidence that the car would automatically brake for vehicles ahead. Pre-collision assist turns off randomly, This event disables the safety features. When in cruise control the brakes are applied.. This a happened at 65 mph. almost causing an accident. The dealer has tried many times to correct the problem and has been unable to. He has been in contact with ford and they cannot provide a repair. They are aware of the issue

All of the advanced safety features have stopped working in my Mach E The curse control does not work either the adaptive or the standard. The pre-collision system is not working, lane assit is not working. The absence of these working systems is a danger. Ford knows about this software problem with the software, however they refuse to fix the problem at there expense. The Mach E was designed from the ground up as software driven, the manufacture should be responsible to ensure that the software is up to date.

Front Camera Fault & Pre-Collision Assist Not Available Error messages since August 2022 around the time after a recall for windshield reglue.

Occasional failure of video signal from front camera located above rear view mirror causes Alert pop-up on main instrument display and loss of all Driver Assist feature that utilize the front camera such as: lane departure alert and adaptive cruise control.

While driving and hitting a bump I will get a message in the driver's display stating Forward collision assist unavailable. This causes almost all of the ADAS features to stop working including cruise control and blue cruise. This is very dangerous! There is a huge thread on this issue at the macheforum.com. The issue needs to be addressed by Ford Motor Company in a recall.

This vehicle has an issue with persisent and now completely locked out safety systems. There's a 40 page forum on MachEForums. Currently at the dealer 2 weeks with no known fix. They are waiting on parts, but do not guarantee a fix. All of my safety systems have been disabled from this. Adadptive Cruise Control, which isn't concerning, but - Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warnings, Lane Keeping Assistance. I feel unsafe in this vehicle and Ford has no current fix. A serious investigation needs to go into this as I was advised by the Ford BEV team hotline he had just spoken to someone from California who started a buyback for the same reason, and when the dealer couldn't fix it, to call back and advise it's a lemon. I have had a camera fault error for several weeks. This leads to the pre-collision assist and other features not being available. The camera module has already been replaced once and I still have the same problem.

Sudden failure of front cameras. Sudden loss of adaptive cruise control and front collision early detection system as well.

Car purchased new June 2021. In April 2022, I began to get intermittent faults regarding the front camera “Front Camera Fault - Service required” - this would disable cruise control on highways and cause quite a lurch and change in speed. The error message disables cruise control, camera, pre-collision assist, and lane keeping assist. The error message would disappear after a few minutes. By Memorial Day weekend May 2022, the fault was persistent and the error message did not go away. Front camera fault. Was periodic. Now permanent. Disables BlueCruise, Adaptive Cruise, and other camera dependent features.

Starting approximately in June 2022, my vehicle receives almost daily faults. It will generate a "Front Camera Fault" and a "Pre-Collision Assist Not Available" message. When the car generates these faults, the following other features will fail to work: Adaptive Cruise Control, Normal Cruise Control, Automatic headlights, Lane Centering, Pre-collision warning. I brought the vehicle into two separate dealers on two separate occasions to address the problems. Both times, parts were replaced, software was updated / reset, and camera systems were re-aligned. None of these efforts have even made the problem any better. The fault will sometimes appear when first starting the vehicle. But, sometimes the fault will appear at highway speeds which causes the car to disengage cruise control suddenly which is jarring and unexpected.

I repeatedly get two error messages, front camera fault and pre collision assist unavailable. It happened randomly until it finally went out completely. I've spoken to many other owners who are having the same problem and it seems that there is not fix. This causes the cruise control and lane keeping assist to become unavailable. Myself and many other owners have attempted to get this issue resolved multiple times and it seems that there isn't a fix and the manufacturer is not speaking out about it. My car is currently at the repair shop for it's 3rd visit to resolve this same issue. The dealership is unaware of how to resolve it and are waiting for Ford to find a resolution. Ford has recently released a software update that causes Front Camera Faults when going over bumpy roads and across multiple conditions. This causes the Blue Cruise cruise control system to suddenly stop working when driving at highway speeds. When coupled with One Pedal driving, this could cause brakes to slam on while driving at highway speeds. Additionally, forward emergency breaking does not work until this fault resets (after ~1-2 minutes typically). This happens constantly when driving and causes safety hazards.

While parking in a garage the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated and ran into a wall. Anyone in or around the car may have been seriously ignored. The issues has happened twice but can not be reproduced by me. There we no indicators that the event was about to take place There is a recall for this on the vehicle type but not for the date of my manufacturing.

If any of the passengers are unbuckled and the seat chime is on the car does not have an audible forward collision or pedestrian warning alert sound.

While driving on thruway, it began to snow.. One. by one the safety sensors reported failure due to being blocked. Even basic criosese control stopped working. As conditions cleared none of the sensors recovered. I pulled off at an exit to clear any remaining snow that may have been blocking the sensors. The sensors were already clear, yet still reported. being blocked. I pulled into a car wash and. had the car washed and dried to make sure that every sensor was unobstructed. All of the sensors were still in a failure state. Not one sensor recovered. I had to turn off the car and restart to clear the sensor failures. This is a big problem when driving on a long trip. Every time it snows and a sensor fails, I have to exit the thruway and find a place to pull over and restart the car. In instances where...

WHEN I START UP THE CAR, AND THE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 50 DEGREES, THE "PRE-COLLISION ASSIST" IS NOT AVAILABLE, THE "PARK AID" MALFUNCTIONS AND THE "BLIND SPOT DETECTION WITH CROSS TRAFFIC" IS INOPERATIVE....THE ALERTS ARE ON THE DASH, AND COME AS ALERTS TO MY PHONE. THE CAR CAN STILL BE DRIVEN. MY CAR HAS BEEN AT THE "SERVICE" DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE MARCH 16, AND I HAVE NO WORD ON WHEN IT WILL BE RETURNED. THIS HAS HAPPENED 2/26, 2/27, 3/2, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6,3/7,3/10 AND 3/12. AND, TWICE, WHILE DRIVING AT WARMER TEMPS., THE "FRONT COLLISION ALERT" HAS SUDDENLY APPEARED ON THE DASH, AND THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME.
