I DRIVE A 2011 FORD FUSION, AND ON AUGUST 8, 2013, I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MPH AND I WENT DOWN TO ABOUT 5MPH. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND TURN OFF THE CAR. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON WHEN THIS HAPPENED. AFTER I SHUT IT OFF THE WRENCH LIGHT WENT OFF, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN AFTER I STARTED THE CAR AGAIN. THE CAR IS NOW IN THE SHOP. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL PART. *TR

AS WE WERE DRIVING DOWN A 3 LANE FREEWAY, THE CAR JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN LOST ALL RESPONSE IN THE GAS PEDAL AND THE WRENCH LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON. LUCKILY WE WERE ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NO ONE WAS BEHIND US WHEN THE CAR BECAME UNRESPONSIVE. WE RESTARTED THE CAR AND EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE, BUT AS WE WERE ALMOST HOME, IT DID THE SAME THING AGAIN. WHILE DRIVING ON I-95 SOUTH APPROXIMATELY 65-70 MPH IN MODERATELY HEAVY TRAFFIC, AT EXIT 180, THE CAR SOUNDED LIKE IT DROPPED OUT OF GEAR WHILE ACCELERATING. I WAS ABLE TO MERGE TO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR CONTINUED COASTING AND THE "WRENCH LIGHT" APPEARED. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL. WHEN STOPPED, THE CAR RATTLED AND IDLED VERY HARD AND WAS SHAKING. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE POWER STEERING WENT OF WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45MPH. THE INDICATOR SHOWED CHECK POWER TRAC POWER STEERING. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR AND THEY PUT IT ON A COMPUTER TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG. THE COMPUTER SHOWED THE POWER GEAR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT $1600. BUT THE SERVICE TECH SAID THAT MAY NOT BE ALL THAT'S WRONG, BUT FIRST NEED TO REPLACE THE POWER GEAR. THIS SHOULD BE COVERED IN THE WARRANTY AND THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL DUE TO HAVING OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES BEFORE. NEITHER OF WHICH IS OCCURRING. WHEN DRIVING AT 65 MPH AFTER APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES, THE CAR STALLED AND WRENCH LIGHT APPEARED ON DASHBOARD. I WAS ABLE TO PULL ONTO THE SIDE OF HIGHWAY AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. RESTARTED THE CAR AND CONTINUED DRIVING. WHILE APPROACHING INTERSECTION AT 25 MPH THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED. TOOK TO THE DEALER AND PAID $114 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE CAR WASN'T SPITTING OUT ANY CODES. DEALER DRIVE IT ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS AND COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. SAME PROBLEM IS HAPPENING WITH FUSION CAR OWNERS AND THE THROTTLE BODY IS FIXING THE PROBLEM. FORD NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM BEFORE IT RESULTS IN ACCIDENTS OR DEATHS. *TR

ON MAY 9, AFTER EXITING THE INTERSTATE AND COMING OFF THE RAMP ONTO ANOTHER HIGHWAY, MY CAR HAD NO POWER WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE. I MANAGED TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHEN I PLACED THE CAR IN PARK, IT BEGAN TO JERK. I CUT IT OFF AND SAT THERE FOR A MINUTE. I STARTED THE CAR AGAIN AND IT DIDN'T JERK ANYMORE, SO I DECIDED TO TRY AND DRIVE HOME. LUCKILY, I DID MAKE IT HOME (ONLY HAD @3 MILES TO GO). WHEN THE CAR WAS STARTED THE NEXT DAY AND WHILE IT WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY, THE RPMS WOULD GO UP AND THEN DOWN AND THE CAR CUT OFF. WHEN I WAS TAKING IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR, IT WOULD SURGE WHILE SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT. HAD THE CAR REPAIRED. INVOICE SAYS THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED. THIS IS APPARENTLY AN ISSUE...
