THEN IN JULY 2010, I WAS DRIVING WITH MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER IN THE ABOVE CAR, AND ATTEMPTED TO GET ON INTERSTATE 95. ALL CARS LOST SOME FORM OF MPG ESTIMATES OVER YEARS OF USE, BUT THE FOCUS HAD TERRIBLE DETERIORATION. . I HAVE SPOKEN TO MANY OWNERS OF 2000 FORD FOCUS' THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. ESTIMATED MPG HAD BEEN FROM 15 TO 22, WITH MINE FLUCTUATED FROM 10 TO 20. NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS COULD BE FOUND THROUGH NORMAL MEANS.
