2018 FORD F-150 Back Over Prevention Warnings Problems

backup camera stopped working around 07/2025 and now starting 10/2025 it will work when it wants to but its not clear it will be distorted.

Back up camera works sporadically. Parking guide lines have disappeared, parking collision warning goes off for no reason. Cross traffic alert does not work sometimes.

I had a rear view camera problem where the screen went blue on my f150. No picture or beeps. I paid over $800 for software and hardware repairs and now there is a recall. Conveniently my vin is not included even though I have the same repairs I had to pay for. Reciepts from Ford Dealership available.

There was something wrong with the Ford 10 speed transmission on my truck - 2018 Ford F 150. The transmission would jerk hard at completely random times. The biggest safety issue was that at times it wouldn't "go" when you pushed on the gas causing a delay that was particularly problematic when you were pulling into traffic. There needs to be a recall. If you google F150 10 speed transmission problems, there have been a myriad of them. THIS VEHICLE WOULD STOP. I LOST CONTROL HIT THE VECHICLE IN FRONT ME THAT STOP WITH NO LIGHTS ON.

The vehicles electronic systems all seem to be going haywire. Towing alerts are given when not actual or sometimes not even towing. Backup camera is on/off when backing up then touch screen does not function for several minutes after backup camera was on. Towing and backup camera malfunctions affect driver safety and vehicle accident prevention. The problem has not been looked at and/or repaired by dealer as I'm investigating what the issue 'may be' (first indication is APIM module???) No OEM or Police inspections performed Started winter/spring 2022 and have gotten worse. First signs were Trailer Warning alerts then progressed with GPS and backup camera outages. Now none of vehicles electronics seem to be function at or even NEAR 100 percent effective.

MOTOR MAKES A POP/CLUNK SOUND WHEN STARTING.2.BACK UP WARNING ON AND OFF WHILE BACKING UP.3.DRIVERS SEAT MOVES BACK ON ITS OWN.4.MILEAGE VARIES FROM 13 TO 16 MPG IN SMALL TOWN. MILEAGE IS ONLY 3,797. VEHICLE TIN 3 TIMES FOR START UP POPPING. DEALER SAID THEY REBUILT TOP END. STILL POPS ON START AND VALVES ARE NOW LOUD AS ON A150000 MI MOTOR.

I PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW IN OCTOBER 2018, DOORS WOULD RANDOMLY FLY OPEN WHEN CORNERING. I BROUGHT IT IN THERE WAS A RECALL IT WAS FIXED. THEN WHEN IT IS BELOW 30 DEGREES MY REAR SENSOR DRIVERS SIDE WOULD SHOW A STEADY RED AND BEEP WHEN THERE WAS NO DANGER. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THERE IS MOST LIKELY MOISTURE IN THE SENSOR BUT WOULD NOT REPLACE IT. THEN AT 41,000 MILES MY ENGINE BLEW A ROD. THEY TOLD ME I WAS NOT CHANGING OIL FREQUENTLY ENOUGH. I CHANGE MY OWN OIL. I PROVIDED RECEIPTS FOR OIL BUT THEY WOULD NOT WARRANTY IT, I PAID $15,000 OUT OF POCKET TO HAVE A NEW ENGINE INSTALLED. I CALLED FORD CORPORATE AND AFTER FOUR MONTHS OF INVESTIGATING THEY HAD THE DEALER REFUND MY MONEY. THEN AT 43,000 MILES I WAS ON VACATION AND THE SUNROOF WOULD NOT CLOSE. I BROUGHT IT TO...

THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS VERY HARD IN THE FIRST 5 GEARS OF THE 10 SPEED TRANSMISSION. IT IS HIT OR MISS ON WHETHER OR NOT IT DOES IT, BUT IT DOES RAISE A CONCERN ON HOW IT JERKS, ESPECIALLY WHEN MY DAUGHTER THINGS I AM BRAKING HARD, BUT IT IS REALLY JUST THE TRANSMISSION.
