2019 FORD EXPEDITION — Problems, Recalls & Safety Data

I have a recall for my seatbelt that my local Ford dealership still has been completed. I've been waiting for months and they tell me the parts aren't available yet. I researched these parts online and they show that they are indeed available for my 2019 Ford Expedition limited MAX. I'm leaving for a 4,000 mile vacation on 2/19/2026 and would like this RECALL taken care of before I leave [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Transmission 10R80 is having shifting issues that have caused near crashes. The transmission will have delayed or slow shifting or miss shift when starting from stopped position. It happens on cool days or warmer days. Many people having this issue with expeditions but Ford has inspected the vehicle 2 times and found no issues. They refuse to dig deeper into the problem and fix it. These are expensive vehicles and if my family is injured i will be suing the Ford Co. Issue started at about 40,000 miles. It was inspected while under warranty but now it is over 60,000 miles and out of warranty. If it fails now I will be responsible for the expensive repairs. This issue happens nearly every day.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the transmission. The transmission was slipping, and the RPM was abnormally elevated. There were several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the engine overheated. The vehicle was driven to the residence. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine overheated again. The coolant reservoir was refilled with five gallons of coolant. The engine continued to overheat, and the coolant reservoir was continuously refilled. The contact stated that on one occasion, the contact and her husband were stranded at the side of the road in the freezing cold for two hours. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with the driver's front wheel bearings and sensors failures. The contact was informed that the wheel bearings failure was the cause of the failure because the transmission was unable to perform as designed. The contact was informed that the driver's side front-wheel bearing, and all the sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.

Regularly experience violet jerking into gream and slipping/gear hunting. often times on the highway, which leads to unsafe speed changes

My engine makes a loud rattling noise upon start up and then a more discreet rattling while driving because of the cam phaser.
