My vehicle previously had recall work, including power steering, but now I’m experiencing: * ‘Steering Assist Required’ warning, and the electric power steering is intermittently failing * Traction control and hill assist turned off * Headlights (and other lights) staying on even when the car is off * The vehicle pulls sharply to the left when braking * Despite multiple alignments and suspension/tie rod replacements, my new tires are wearing out rapidly

Severe constant moisture condensation build up inside rear light bar and rear side lights. The moisture is inside all clear plastic covers and some of the red inner plastic (which is underneath the clear plastic cover). It is available for inspection. This is causing a safety hazard due to reduced and dim light visibility. The constant moisture causes an increased risk of break lighting shortage, failure of lighting electrical system or the lights shutting off. With the reduced rear lighting visibility and risk possibility of rear lighting failure there is an increased risk of a crash. The dealer, I purchased the vehicle used from, tried taking it apart and drying the moisture but it came right back the next day. The vehicle has been seen at an auto garage. It is unkown if there has been warning lights or signals since I recently purchased it from the dealer who had...

Prior to taking delivery of this car (new, March 2017) the selling dealer replaced the tail/back-up light assembly on the tailgate because it had moisture in it. After I had the car for about 3 months the moisture came back and I called the dealer. They said it was a know problem and they would get back to me when they had the part to fix it. They never called me and I forgot about the problem. In October 2024, a neighbor told me my right back-up light was out. A couple of weeks later I went to my mechanic to have the bulb replaced. He told me that both back-up lights were out and they were non-replaceable LEDs. The entire light assembly must be replaced before I can get a state inspection sticker. The list price of the unit from Ford (only available from Ford no aftermarket part made)...

A Manufacture defect in the brake light housing cracks and causes water inside the light housing causing the light to be dim, eventually short out, and also flicker and shut off & on occasion. The end result is no brake lights or sometimes working depending on the water damage from the Manufacture defect of the light housing plastic.

WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT- VERY POOR LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS, IF ITS RAINING, IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE WHITE OR YELLOW DIVIDING LINE. VERY HAZARDOUS ON TWO LANE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. FOUND MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON OTHER WEBSITES. NO PICTURE APPLICABLE. SUGGEST A ROAD TEST ON 2016 FORD EDGE AT NIGHT IN RAIN.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER WOULD COLLECT INSIDE THE ENTIRE REAR REFLECTOR PANEL LIGHTS SURROUNDING THE LICENSE PLATE. THE WATER WOULD CAUSE THE LIGHTS TO SHORT WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DAVIDSON FORD OF CLAY (3690 NY-31, LIVERPOOL, NY 13090, 315-860-0096) WHERE THE LIGHTS WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE DRIVING LIGHTS ILLUMINATE THE ROADS POORLY AND I'VE HAD THEM ADJUSTED TWICE IN ORDER TO IMPROVE NIGHT DRIVING VISIBILITY. ALSO, THE DRIVER'S DOOR DOESN'T LATCH RELIABLY AND I'VE HAD IT ADJUST ED TWICE AND NOW THE DOOR WHISTLES. THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT SIGNALS THE DOOR ISN'T PROPERLY SHUT. I WAS DRIVING HOME CHRISTMAS NIGHT AFTER SPENDING THE WEEKEND WITH FAMILY, IT WAS RAINING HARD AND WINDY (20-30MPH GUSTS). WHILE DRIVING WITH MY WIPERS ON AT 70MPH ON INTERSTATE 35 SOUTH JUST NORTH OF ALBERT LEA MINNESOTA MY WIPER BLADES STARTED TO GET CAUGHT IN THE WIND, I HEARD A SLAPPING NOISE A FEW TIMES AND THEN ALL THE SUDDEN AS THE WIPERS WENT TO WIPE THE PASSENGER SIDE BLADE WAS LIFTED BY THE WIND AND WAS DROPPED ON TOP OF THE OTHER BLADE. THE LATCH THAT HOLDS THE BLADE ON TO THE DRIVER SIDE WIPER WAS BLOCKING THE PASSENGER SIDE BLADE AND CAUSED THE WIPERS TO BECOME NON FUNCTIONAL. AT THIS POINT I WAS GETTING VERY NERVOUS BECAUSE VISIBILITY RAPIDLY DIMINISHED BECAUSE I COULD NO LONGER USE MY WIPERS. I TRIED TURNING THEM ON TO HIGH AND LOW AND THEY WOULD NOT WORK. THE WIPERS DID TRY TO...
