All Fuel System Gasoline Complaints
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated upon starting the vehicle after refueling, the vehicle was making abnormal gurgling sounds. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 60 MPH, she heard abnormally loud sounds coming from the rear driver's side of the vehicle, where the fuel tank was located. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road and inspected the vehicle. The contact pushed the gas tank cap and the sounds stopped. The contact was able to continue driving; however, the check engine warning light illuminated while driving the next day. The contact was able to drive to her residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the purge valve and Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) system needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that it was a known failure. The vehicle was not repaired....
FORD EDGE SEL 2016 VIN * [XXX] 22,500 MILES SINCE I ACQUIRED IT (HE,SHE) HAS A PROBLEM OF WHEN I AM TRAVELING A HIGHWAY AND THE SPEED COMES TO 60 MPH THE ENGINE IS IN DISCHARGE REVOLUTIONIZE RAISING A HILL AN EVIL ENTERS(APPROACHES) SMELL OF GASES OF THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR, I HAVE TO REDUCE THE SPEED AND OPEN CRYSTALS OF THE CAR IN ORDER THAT THE SMELL GOES OUT AND COULD BE BREATHED WELL. I IT HAVE TAKEN IN 3 OCCASIONS TWO WORKSHOPS AUTHORIZED BY FORD FOR GUARANTEE AND THEY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING, THEY ME INFORM THAT THE COMPUTER DOES NOT REFLECT ANYTHING.
