TIPM RECALL ISSUE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GET THE TIPM RECALL. ABOUT 900 MILES AFTER THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THE TIPM WIRE BURNT AND THE FUSE BLEW CAUSING THE FAILURE. DODGE DEALERSHIP ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE PROBLEM AGAIN.

I AM THE FIRST AND ONLY OWNER OF A DODGE DURANGO 2013: ON DEC 25TH I WAS LEFT STRANDED WITH MY CAR, WINDOWS OPEN AND UNABLE TO MOVE IT ANYWHERE. IT LITERALLY DIED AND HAD TO LEAVE IT ALONG THE ROADSIDE SINCE I WAS WITH MY 4 SMALL CHILDREN. I WAS DRIVING, AND THE CAR STARTED WITH A WEIRD NOISE, THEN SMOKE STARTED COMING OUT, THE ALL THE LIGTHS ON THE DASHBOARD STARTED TO FLASH, THE TEMPERATURE WAS ALWAYS INFORMED AS NORMAL, THEN THE WINDSHIELD WIPPERS STARTED TO WORK ON ITS OWN AND THEN THE CAR LITERALLY DIED. THERE WAS NO POSSIBILITY OF IGNITION NOR NOTHING. THE CAR HAD TO BE TOWED AWAY BY A SPECIAL TRUCK SINCE IT HAD TO PICK UP THE CAR AND PLACE IT ON THE TRUCK, SINCE THERE WAS NO POSSIBILITY TO HAVE IGNITION. "TAKATA RECALL"SOMETIMES AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN LONG OR SHORT DRIVES AND TURNED OFF FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, WHEN I GO TO START THE ENGINE THE STARTER WILL GRIND/ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT WILL NOT START THIS ISSUE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE TAKEN CARE OF IN THE SUMMER OF 2015. DEALER HAD OUR CAR FOR OVER TWO MONTHS WAITING ON PARTS BUT THE ISSUE IS STARTING TO OCCUR AGAIN!(ELECTRICAL) ALSO I FIND AT DIFFERENT TIMES THE INTERIOR LIGHTS/GAUGE LIGHTS/INDICATOR LIGHTS THAT ARE ON AND STAY ON FOR A FEW MILES LIKE THERE IS A SHORT IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. POWER LIFT GATE FAILED TO WORK. WHEN RETURNED TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE THE ELECTRONIC ARM REQUIRED REPLACEMENT
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A SIDE IMPACT THAT RAISED VEHICLE TO APPROXIMATELY 30 DEGREES. BODY SHOP SAID AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. EXPLAINED TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THERE WAS NO CHECK DONE TO CONFIRM THAT AIRBAGS WERE IN WORKING ORDER. DEALER SAYS THAT IT OBVIOUSLY WASN'T SUFFICIENT ENOUGH IMPACT TO DEPLOY AIRBAGS. I'M NOT CONVINCED AFTER READING ABOUT DEFECTS. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS ADDRESSED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS REGARDING WINDOW GOING UP AND DOWN, LOCKING SYSTEM AND ALARM SYSTEM ACTUATING ON THEIR OWN, WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN PARKED. DEALER SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE ISSUE, BUT WHEN IT FINALLY WAS PROVEN, THEY REPAIRED THE WINDOW ONLY AND WE WERE FORCED TO PAY TO GET OUTER VEHICLE BACK. I FEEL THAT THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ISSUE.

STILL NO CALLS. SINCE THAT TIME I'VE RECEIVED SEVERAL MORE SAFETY RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE BUT AM NEVER ABLE TO GET AN APPOINTMENT. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES FOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. A LIST OF THE PROBLEMS INCLUDE: TAIL LIGHTS BURNING OUT, SEAT HEATERS NOT WORKING, REAR AC NOT WORKING, SUNROOF NOT WORKING, SIDE MIRRORS NOT WORKING, SEAT ADJUSTER NOT WORKING, AND SOME OF THE ISSUES HAVE HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. EVERY TIME THEY TELL ME IT IS A SHORT THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEIR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AS I HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT MATCH MINE.
