As I read the above comments/complaints on the 2014 Dodge Dart, I have realized that we all are having the same issues with the recall, the car not engaging in park, and the Keyfob not working properly where it takes from 5-30 minutes to turn the car off because it is still in the acc mode. Now the car has started yet ANOTHER problem that it doesn’t want to start. I paid for a tow to the repair shop and they checked everything out and could find absolutely nothing wrong, no codes showing up, nothing. I had bought a new battery, was about to replace the ignition switch and/or starter but the shop had experience with Dodge 2014 before and the same issues with no apparent issues?? I did pay for another key and fob which wasted $200 because even afterwards the fob wouldn’t release due to the car not...
After parking, I try to put the car into park and it will not go all the way to park. The key fob will not come out of the ignition, so the battery is still being used with the dashboard lights on. No alert or alarm lights show an issue. This has occurred MANY times. Finally, after waiting from 5-45 minutes, you can hear a click in the front area (gear area) and then I can turn the switch completely to off and remove the Key fob. I went to a repair shop and they scanned for problems/codes on the reader. But nothing shows up. Thinking it may be the fob itself, I had the locksmith come and replace the fob and program it. It still continues to be an issue. Not every time I drive, but enough that it has been a safety concern as well if I’m away...
I have multiple recall notices on my Dodge Dart. I have contacted Mopar who referred me to a local dodge dealership. I have contacted the dealership several times. Each time they communicate they will look for where to get the repair part(s) from and contact me back. They have never called back, not any of the dealerships I have contacted. I don't know who I need to contact, and I fear for safety for myself and anyone around my vehicle due to the nature of the recalls. I'm unsure how to proceed moving forward as there seems to be a runaround going on and my car repairs still have yet to be completed or even scheduled.
I got the email and the postcard in the mail stating there was a U90 recall for my car. That was over a year ago. I called Betten-Baker in Lowell, MI. they put me on a "list" and said they'd call me, haven't heard from them, it's been 10 months. This is a billion dollar company, why is it taking so long to get this problem fixed? I would really like an answer please. Thank you

Car will not shut off while in park position.
I had a recall on this vehicle, cable/bushing broke on shifter connecting to transmission, shifter does not work stays in park. Recall was repaired 12/2019. This issue has happened again, vehicle not driving. Called dodge dealer they say they are not fixing again, recall only covered for 2 years.
I have a few problems to be addressed because this car have a real safety issue. One issue been happening was car sometimes doesn’t start. This problem maybe stalling starting may delay in cases of personally emergency’s. Second, I got a recall letter having emissions issues? During this recall letter I receive my inspection sticker was due, then I got a rejected sticker because it did failed emissions as noticed. I tried getting issue resolve at few of the dodge dealers nearby 3 places that’s the closest which were like almost an hour away, but there were a backlog of part not available? Since those two issues I had and having time to try getting these recalls and issue resolved, dealer said not much of an issue and couldn’t find much issues? I purchased a 2014 Dodge Dart from this business on 08/10/2019. I drove the vehicle for only 1.5 years and then garaged it to give to my daughter later. I put only 20,000 miles on the vehicle. There were several issues during the short time that I had the vehicle. The tire pressure warning went on, and the clutch would stick to the floor. I had the pressure warning 'fixed' at Chrysler World only to have the same malfunction within a week. The clutch issue was due to a recall that I didn't qualify for as I did not purchase the vehicle new from the original dealership. I gave the vehicle to my daughter on 12/18/2023 and the clutch and transmission went out causing her to stop in the middle of the highway. Last Thursday, August 3rd, I reversed my car out of my garage. Upon putting it in Drive, the engine light came on as well as the PRND lights illuminated red. As I was driving, I noticed my car felt sluggish to my destination, but I did make it. When I parked, I noticed how jerky the car was when shifting from drive to park. After my appointment, the red PRND lights were gone, with the engine light still on. I had another appointment to get new tires, and the car ran fine this time, except engine light still on. Once my new tires were on, engine light also no longer lit. I took my car to get it diagnosed. Unknown, my car since ive got it has steadily ran way too hot for my comfort zone it does not redline. But it runs sometimes past 223-225 and i feel like i have to pull over and that is not safe. I have had it checked out NUNEROUS times and have been told nothing is wrong but genuinely that does not add up to me.
When trying to park the car it doesn’t necessarily allow you to turn the car off without moving the shifter around until the car is satisfied and allows you to finally shut down. Also the radio seems to just shut off and on once and awhile.
I had the V34 recall done on 1-2-2020 and now for the last 2 weeks 9-12 through 9-22-2022 my vehicle will not go into park properly. I am scared it will roll into a crash. I transport my grandchildren in this vehicle and I’m scared for their safety. Does this need another recall? I’m scared to drive this vehicle. I only have 45135 original miles on this vehicle! 1. Unknown, but podsibly the following: shifter mechanism, transmission linkage, and/or some other mechanism 2. The key is not releasing upon parking, this happens in dangerous areas and in compromising locations that have put my life at risk. I was unable to leave my car and a man with a knife approached me while I was facing this issue. It has happened several time and has happened another time with my husband also in the car and and a mentally ill man approached us as we tried to wait for the key to release. It is inconsistent and can take 0 seconds to 1 hour to release. 3. I showed the dealership near me during my recall repairs, and it happened once with them, but I'm unsure if they documented it. 4. Dodge has an active recall (R42) that matches the situation that happened to my car. My car switched into neutral while driving multiple times, at speeds 60+ and the dodge dealer diagnosed the issue as the tcm needing replaced. This happened several times, if there were people behind me they would have ran into me as my car jolted and decreased speeds rapidly, then shut off. My exact situation matches the recall except the vin is different, but it is the same make and model. However, dodge will not do anything about it, or warn customers.

SO I BOUGHT THE MOTOR MOUNTS AND REPLACED IT 1 WEEK AFTER I REPLACED IT SAME THING KEEPS HAPPENING I TOOK OFF THE MOUNT AND REPLACED IT W MORE EXPENSIVE MOUNT ANTHER WEEK PASSED AND THAT SAME MOUNT GAVE OUT MAKING IT 2 REPLACED. PLUS THE 3 THE DEALERSHIP HAD DONE TOOK IT TOO VALORS DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE REAR MOUNT THAT WAS BAD ALSO SO I REPLACED ALL MOTOR MOUNTS AND NOW SAME 2 MOUNTS IV REPLACED ARE DOING THE SAME THING THE FIRST 2 I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM THEIR MUST SOMETHING THAT WEARING THIS MOUNTS OUT SO QUICK.CAUSE I BARLY DRIVE MY CAR AND I HAVE TO GET THIS MOUNT REPLACED FOR THE 6TH TIME.

MY CAR HAS BEEN AT DEWEY SINCE JULY 23RD FOR A SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT. WHEN I DROPPED MY CAR OFF, IT WAS PLUGGED INTO THE COMPUTER AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE CODE THAT POPPED UP WAS FOR A RECALL ON A TRANSMISSION MODULE AND ONCE THE SERVICE TECH LOOKED AT IT, I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL REGARDING ANY COSTS AND TIME OF REPAIR. AS I WAS LEAVING ON VACATION FOR THE WEEK, I WAS NOT TOO CONCERNED. SATURDAY 7/25 - I RECEIVED A CALL THAT A PART WAS ON ORDER AND THE CAR SHOULD BE READY MONDAY OR TUESDAY. AGAIN, AS I WAS ON VACATION, I SAID THAT WOULD BE JUST FINE. I STARTED CALLING AND TEXTING MY SERVICE ADVISOR, TRENT, THURSDAY (7/30) MORNING. I DID NOT HEAR ANYTHING FROM HIM UNTIL SATURDAY (8/1). UNABLE TO GET CAR IN PARK TO SHUT OFF THE CAR, AND GET KEY OUT. THIS HAPPENED WHERE EVER I PARK. IT EVEN HAPPENED AT THE GARAGE. *TR
WHEN TURNING THE CAR OFF, THE KEY FOB GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. THIS SOMETIMES CAN BE RESOLVED BY TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, PRESSING ON THE BRAKE AND ADJUSTING THE SHIFTER FORWARD TO CLICK INTO PARK. IT'S AS IF THE SHIFTER IS NOT RECOGNIZING THE CAR IS IN PARK SO IT WILL NOT RELEASE THE KEY FOB. IT COULD USUALLY BY FIXED EASILY, NOW TAKES SOMETIMES 1-3 MINUTES; WHICH INCLUDES RESTARTING THE CAR AND PUTTING IT IN REVERSE OR DRIVE AND BACK INTO PARK. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY & THEN WILL STOP FOR A FEW DAYS. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP LAST WEEK FOR THIS ISSUE AND THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WHILE I'M DRIVING AND THEY 'COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM' AS THEY STATED. I'M ON THE FREEWAY DRIVING MY CAR AND IT STOPS IN MIDDLE OF THE ROAD . THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT ALSO. I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A CAR BEHIND ME .
EVERY MORNING AFTER I START MY CAR I DRIVE DOWN THE STREET AND IT STALLS MID TRAFFIC. IT DOES IT MULTIPLE TIMES. I HAVE TO DRIVE AROUND MY NEIGHBORHOOD TIL VEHICLE STALLS 4-5 TIMES THEN DRIVES OK. SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE NOTICED THAT SOME OF THE CARS HAVE BEEN RECALLED BUT NOT MINE

THEN WITHIN A FEW DAYS (4) THE CLUTCH WENT OUT COMPLETELY WITH NO USABILITY. NOW IT IS STUCK. LARGE REPAIR COSTS. I HAVE BEEN QUOTED UP TO 4,000$ FOR ALL REPAIRS BECAUSE THESE CARS HAVE A REPEATED HISTORY OF THIS HAPPENING WITH NO AFTERMARKET PARTS THAT WOULD BE MORE SOLID TO REPLACE IT WITH. OEE PARTS HAVE TO BE DEFECTIVE! I FINANCED THIS VEHICLE LATE AUGUST 2019 AND MID DECEMBER THIS OCCURRED QUICKLY AND IS AN ABSOLUTE LOSS AT THE MOMENT.

MY DODGE DART HAS AN ISSUE WHERE THE BATTERY LIGHT WILL TURN ON AND THEN THE CAR WILL TURN OFF WHILE IT IS IN USE. THIS ISSUE BEGAN AROUND 1 YEAR AGO AND HAS BEEN SPORADICALLY HAPPENING SINCE THEN. MY MECHANIC EXCHANGED MY BATTERY BUT THE ISSUE PERSISTED AND HE HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FIND A CAUSE. UPON DOING SOME RESEARCH THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH DODGE DARTS. WHEN THE OIL GETS LOW THE CAR WILL SHUT OFF WHEN IN USE WITHOUT AN INDICATOR LIGHT SHOWING THE OIL IS LOW AND DESPITE THE OIL LIFE PERCENTAGE NOT BEING CRITICALLY LOW (IT WAS 17% THE MOST RECENT TIME IT HAPPENED TO ME). THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT HAPPENS ABRUPTLY AND THE STEERING LOCKS UP WHILE THE CAR IS SHUTTING OFF.
ON APRIL 17, 2019, WHEN ARRIVING AT DESTINATION, I ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT GEARS INTO PARK. HOWEVER, GEARS SHIFTED INTO REVERSE PERMANENTLY. I CALLED MY SIBLINGS TO ASSIST WITH GETTING THE CAR OUT OF REVERSE, THE HANDLE WOULD MOVE BUT THE GEARS WOULD NOT CHANGE. THE ONLY WAY WE COULD GET THE CAR TO STOP WAS WITH THE EMERGENCY BREAK. WE TURNED OFF THE IGNITION, BUT ALL LIGHTS STAYED ON AND WE COULD NOT REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE KEY OUT WAS TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY. I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER THE FOLLOWING DAY ON APRIL 18TH, AND THEY ADVISED OF A RECALL FOR SHIFT CABLE BUSHING. I ASKED HOW LONG THE PROCESS WOULD TAKE, THEY STATED THEY WOULD MAIL A LETTER TO ADVISE HOW TO SET UP APPOINTMENT, THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER PARTS. I CALLED BACK ON APRIL 25TH TO INQUIRE ONCE AGAIN...
THE BACK UP CAMERA AND INTERIOR SCREEN HAVE BOTH GONE OUT. OUT OF NOWHERE. THE SCREEN FLUCTUATES BETWEEN WORKING AND TURNING ITSELF OFF MID USE (NOT ONLY FOR THE CAMERA, BUT DURING DRIVING AS WELL.) THE SCREEN HAS BEEN MALFUNCTIONING FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW AND THE CAMERA HAS GONE DOWN ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO.
THE CAR STARTED RANDOMLY SHUTTING OFF, AT A STOP OR WOULDN'T START ALL TOGETHER. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK OF RANDOM STALLING AND SHUT OFFS, I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC. HAVE BEEN ADDING OIL AND CHECKING CONSISTENTLY FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND RECENTLY IT REFUSED TO TURN ON. GOT A JUMP AND THE CAR STARTED. HAD THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR CHECKED AT AUTO PARTS STORE , CAR STARTED UP NO PROBLEM, AND BOTH WERE FINE, BATTERY FULLY CHARGED. NOT MORE THAN 10 MINUTES AFTER TESTING THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN ON. JUMPED IT AND IT STARTED, DROVE HOME. AGAIN, TRIED TO START IT A FEW HOURS LATER AND NOTHING, NEEDED ANOTHER JUMP. USED A SCANNER TO CHECK FOR COMPUTER ISSUES AND NOTHING CAME UP. MY CAR WAS PARKED. I TURNED MY CAR ON AND PUSHED THE BRAKE, MY SHIFTER WOULD CHANGE TO DIFFERENT GEARS ON THE LIGHTED DISPLAY BUT WOULD NOT ACTUALLY GO INTO REVERSE, NEUTRAL, DRIVE. PURCHASED 2014 DODGE DART FROM SUBARU OF CHERRY HILL, NJ DEALERSHIP 5/2019 @ 44,000MI. USED. EXCELLENT CARFAX. SINCE OWNERSHIP, VEHICLE HAS STOPPED TWICE; ONCE WHILE SLOWED DOWN TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, AND AGAIN WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. BATTERY LIGHT DID NOT COME ON EITHER TIME. 3RD TIME VEHICLE DIDN'T START AFTER BEING PARKED FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 HRS. NEEDED TO BE JUMPED. AFTER FIRST INCIDENT OF STOPPING, VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MECHANIC; COULDN'T FIND PROBLEM. BATTERY CHECKED OUT AS OK. OIL CHANGE PERFORMED AT 47,351MI. ALSO, SINCE BEING PURCHASED, A SLIGHTLY SWEET SMELL COMES OUT OF FAN. DOES NOT GO AWAY. CONCERNED THAT THE VEHICLE WILL STOP WHILE ON A HIGHWAY, CAUSING A MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH. THIS SEEMS VERY UNSAFE. TRANSMISSION SLIPS INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE CAR TO LOSE MOBILITY CAUSING A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED MY DODGE DART 2014 IN AUGUST OF 2018. I PURCHASED THE CAR WITH AROUND 26,000 MILES ON IT. GREAT CONDITION, EXCELLENT MILEAGE, NO ACCIDENTS, AND ONLY ONE OWNER. I HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR 5 MONTHS. I USE IT MAINLY AS A COMMUTER CAR. IT STARTED HAVING ISSUES ALMOST AS SOON AS WE GOT IT. THEY WERE FIRST MINOR THINGS. UNTIL NOVEMBER 2018. MY CARS BATTERY DIED AND REFUSED TO START. I HAD TO REPLACE OUT OF POCKET DUE TO IT NOT BEING COVERED BY WARRANTY. IT WAS HAVING ISSUES STARTING, I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS DUE TO IT BEING COLD (BECAUSE IT WOULD BE FINE ONCE IT HEATED UP), SO AT FIRST THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. IT WOULD START UP AND I WOULD DRIVE IT LESS THEN A MILE, I WOULD START TO SLOW DOWN AND EVERYTHING WOULD SHUT OFF. THE HEATER AND THE LIGHTS...
THE CAR TURNS OFF WHEN AT A STOP ESPECIALLY WHEN MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN OR SLOWING DOWN. THE CAR GIVES YOU NO WARNING NO LIGHTS COME ON IT JUST TURNS OFF. THE CAR HAS BEEN AT THE MECHANIC FOR OVER A WEEK AND THEY CAN NOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM BECOMES IT COMES BACK ON AFTER 3-4 ATTEMPTS. THIS IS A EXTREME SAFETY CONCERN FOR THAT IT TURNS OFF COMPLETELY WHEN AT A STOP OR A LIGHT. THIS CAN CAUSE A ACCIDENT AND THE PROBLEM CAN NOT BE DIAGNOSED YET.
MY VEHICLE IS NOT LISTED UNDER THE RECALL FOR TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE FAILURE ALTHOUGH IT DID SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO BE INOPERABLE. IF THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS INTO NEUTRAL, IT CAN CAUSE LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER, INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH. MY VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY BEING SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, AFTER THE SHIFTER WAS MOVED THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY MOVED INTO THE NEUTRAL POSITON AND WOULD NOT MOVE UP OR DOWN IN ORDER TO PARK IT. THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE WAS PULLED IN ORDER TO KEEP THE VEHICLE STATIONARY AND THE ENTIRE SIDE OF THE CAR WHERE THE ISSUE WAS HAD TO BE REMOVED, I.E THE BATTERY AND THE COMPARTMENT THAT HOLDS THE BATTERY IN ORDER TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE FAULTY PART AND TO BE ABLE TO REMOVE AND INSTALL A NEW PART. MY VEHICLE HOWEVER DID THIS BECAUSE OF A FAULTY SHIFT BUSHING PART THAT...
CAR STUCK ON NUETRAL. CAR WON'T RETURN KEY. THE KEY IS STUCK IN THE VEHICLE WHILE THE VEHICLE REMAINS ON NUETRAL.
CAR KEEPS STALLING ON ROAD AND NOT STARTING. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECTIFIED. SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THE ISSUES AS WELL AS FAR BACK AS 2016. DODGE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ON BEHALF OF CUSTOMERS TO CLEAR THIS HORRIBLE SAFETY HAZARD.
IT BECAME MORE CONSISTENT IN 2017, MY CAR WOULD STALL DRIVING IT ANYWHERE FROM 25 MPH -75 MPH, SOME DAYS THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD LOCK AND THE CAR WOULD TURN OFF AND I'D HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IT WAS READY TO BE BACK ON, JUST RECENTLY MULTIPLE TIMES I HAVE HAD MY CAR TURN COMPLETELY OFF GOING 75MPH, THE DASHBOARD TURNS OFF THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF, SOME TIMES IT TURNS OFF FOR NOT EVEN A MINUTE BEFORE IT TURNS BACK ON. OTHER TIMES I'VE PUT MY CAR ON CRUISE CONTROL AND IT'S TURNED OFF MINUTES AFTER BEING SET. WAS TOLD TO CHANGE THE OIL MORE OFTEN WHICH I DID AT MAXIMUM OF 3000 MILES, ON A 2014?! I BOUGHT A USED 2014 DODGE DART ACT IN SEPTEMBER 2017, IN LATE DECEMBER EARLY JANUARY I BROUGHT CAR IN TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT KEPT STALLING OUT. THEY LOOKED AT IT AND SAID IT WAS BECAUSE THE OIL WAS LOW. FAST FORWARD TO MAY. I'M ON THE WAY TO THE STORE AND MY CAR STALLS OUT WHILE I'M DRIVING WITH MY 4YR DAUGHTER IN THE CAR.
