The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the temperature gauge indicated that the engine was overheating, and the contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to restart. The contact pulled over and was unable to activate the parking brake. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED AND, IF A RECALL WERE ISSUED, HE COULD BE REIMBURSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,197.
