Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. WHILE ENGAGING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, IT FAILED TO HOLD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE CONTACT PULLED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE UP, THE CALIPERS BECAME STUCK AND FAILED TO RELEASE. THE BRAKE WAS CONSTANTLY RUBBING AGAINST THE ROTORS AND CAUSED THE BRAKE SHOES TO HEAT UP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED AND, IF A RECALL WERE ISSUED, HE COULD BE REIMBURSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,197.
