The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the transmission shifter seized in park(P) and failed to shift to drive(D) or reverse(R). The contact stated that the vehicle was undrivable. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the gear shifter operated normally. The contact stated that over time the failure became progressively worse and more frequently. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 05V460000 (Power Train). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 80,000.
Gear shift gets stuck in park. Cannot shift from park to reverse.
CAR SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF HIGHWAY, STALLING, I WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND. NOW IT WON'T EVEN START. EVERY ISSUE IS RELATED TO THE FUEL ISSUE RECALL. BUT MY BECAUSE MY VIN ISN'T INCLUDED, I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS. YOU GUYS AREN'T PERFECT AND MISSED ADDING MY CAR TO THE RECALL.

THE VEHICLE NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.

SOMETIMES WHEN STATING FROM A STOP, LIKE A STOP LIGHT OR ENTERING ON A ROAD, THE TRANSMISSION WILL MAKE A LOUD SOUND IN THE REAR AND LOCK IN IN ONE GEAR. THE SECOND TIME I WAS INVOLVED INTO A ACCIDENT BECAUSE TEA WENT FROM 50 MPH TO 30 MPH BACK TO 50 MPH TO A BARRICADE ON THE HIGHWAY. MY INSURANCE COVER THE REPAIRS AND A WEEK LATER STILL THE SAME PROBLEM. I TOOK IT TO THE TRANSMISSION SHOP AND MECHANIC SAID IT?S NOT A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM HE BELIEVE IT A SENSOR PROBLEM. I TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY TOLD ME I JUST NEEDED NEW BRAKES. I SHIP IT FROM HAWAII TO NEW YORK AND THE MECHANIC REPLACE THE SENSOR IT WAS FINE FOR A WEEK. I DROVE IT TO VA FOR MANDATORY TRAINING AND IT COMPLETELY DIE ON ME BACK TO DRIVING UNDER 28 MPH. MY...

MODULE TRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED IN MY CAR WHICH HAVE ONLY 51661 MILES THIS IS AN ON GOING PROBLEM IN THESE CARS CAUSING THEM NOT TO SHIFT AND I COULD ONLY GO 20MPH IN HEAVY TRAFFIC CREATING A SAFETY HAZARD. I WAS CHARGED $1919.58 FOR REPAIRS. MY TRANSMISSION WAS SERVICED IN OCT.2016 . I FEEL THAT THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE ON THE RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE LOSE THERE LIFE. THE PROBLEM COMES WITH NO WARNING. WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY STALL AND CUT OUT MAKING IT REALLY DANGEROUS ON THE FREEWAY THE CAR WILL JUST SHUT DOWN AND YOU HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN NOW IT STALLS EVEN IN DRIVE SITTING AT TRAFFIC LIGHT.
THE CAR WILL RANDOMLY SHUT OFF FOR NO REASON, SOMETIMES WHILE ITS PARKED IDLING AND OTHER TIMES AT HIGHWAY SPEED. I'VE HAD TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS TRY AND FIX WITHOUT SUCCESS. I'VE SPENT OVER A $1000 DOLLARS IN "REPAIRS" AND STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
