NHTSA Complaint #11604666 — 2020 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while reversing, the rearview camera image display was blue. A message advising to contact the dealer was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the infotainment system was reset; however, the failure persisted. The dealer informed the contact that the failure was related to the wiring system. The dealer inspected the tailgate wiring and informed the contact that no issues were found. The dealer informed the contact that additional diagnostic tests were needed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V575000 (Visibility, Back Over Prevention). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 79,900.
