Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated, and vehicle started to hesitate while driving. The contact also stated that there was heavy white smoke coming from the tailpipe. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and diagnosed with coolant intrusion into cylinder #2, which caused engine damage. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.
