NHTSA Complaint #11417932 — 2014 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was leaking coolant. The contact stated that the low coolant warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a cracked valve in the coolant system. The contact was informed that the coolant system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle had been serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 17V209000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) prior to owning the vehicle however, the contact was relating the failure to the recall. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that recall had already been serviced. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000.
