MY WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED NOW THREE TIMES UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES THAT ARE UNCLEAR. EACH CRACK HAS APPEARED IN THE LOWER CENTER ZONE OF THE CAR AND EACH HAS REACHED A DIAMETER GREATER THAN 6 INCHES.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED WITHOUT WARNING OR IMPACT. WE WOKE UP TO FIND APPROXIMATELY A 12 INCH L SHAPED CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD STARTING BELOW THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD. *TR
MY WIFE AND I WERE TRAVELING ON I-26 EAST BOUND, JUST NORTH OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH I-95 IN SC, WHEN WE HEARD A POP AND NOTICED THAT THE WINDSHIELD HAD CRACKED. IT WAS NOT A RESULT OF ANY ROAD DEBRIS BECAUSE THERE WERE NO VEHICLES IN OUR IMMEDIATE VICINITY. *TR
I HAVE HAD TWO BRAND NEW SUBARU OUTBACKS. MY FIRST WAS A 2015 AND MY SECOND IS A 2017 OUTBACK. MY 2015 HAD 4 BROKEN WINDSHIELDS IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS. MY 2017 HAS HAD 3 BROKEN WINDSHIELDS IN 3 YEARS. ALL TOGETHER I HAVE HAD 7 BROKEN WINDSHIELDS IN 5 YEARS. SOME HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR IS NOT IN MOTION AND SOME HAVE HAPPENED WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. ALL THE BREAKS BEGIN SOMEWHERE AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE WINDSHIELD (UP TO ABOUT 3-4" FROM THE EDGE. I CAN'T TELL WHAT IS CAUSING THE CRACKS TO HAPPEN BECAUSE THERE IS EITHER NO INDICATION OF ANYTHING STRIKING THE WINDSHIELD OR THERE IS A TINY "FLICK" CRACK SOUND AS IF A SPECK OF SAND HIT THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO YOU BEFORE WHEN I OWNED THE 2015 OUTBACK. I SEE THAT THERE ARE NOW 2 CLASS ACTION...
WINDSHIELD CRACKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS AFTER BEING EXPOSED TO EXTREME HEAT AND COLD. *TR
CRACK IN THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AT THE TOP, PASSENGER SIDE CORNER. CRACK FOR NO REASON. *TR
MY FACTORY-INSTALLED WINDSHIELD CRACKED SPONTANEOUSLY WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS 4 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE. THE CRACK IMMEDIATELY SPREAD TO OVER A FOOT LONG. I REPLACED THE WINDSHIELD WITH OEM GLASS. LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER REPLACEMENT, IT CRACKED AGAIN, WHILE DECELERATING ON AN OFF- RAMP. AGAIN, THE CRACK WAS IMMEDIATELY OVER A FOOT LONG. BOTH TIMES, THERE WAS NO APPARENT ROCK OR REASON FOR CRACKING, NOTHING AROUND THAT WOULD HAVE KICKED SOMETHING UP. BOTH CRACKS STARTED NEAR THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD, BUT NEITHER STARTED ON AN EDGE. *TR
MY WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED WITHOUT BEING HIT BY ANYTHING ACROSS THE BOTTOM NEAR THE WIPERS. MY BATTERY CONTINUES TO DIE FOR NO REASON THAT I CAN FIND, EVEN AFTER I HAVE REPLACED IT. I DON'T LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON OR ANYTHING AND I CAN COME BACK TO MY CAR AND I HAVE TO JUMP IT. I HAVE ALSO BEEN IN IT AFTER DRIVING IT, STOPPED AND TURNED THE CAR OFF AND LISTENED TO THE RADIO AND 10 MINUTES LATER I GO TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON AND IT'S COMPLETELY DEAD. AFTER I GET IT GOING THE GATE WILL BEEP CONTINUOUSLY WHILE IT IS STILL CLOSED AND I HAVE TO RESET THE WHOLE VEHICLE TO GET THE BEEPING TO STOP. I TOOK IT TO GET CHECKED AND THEY TOLD ME TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. WHEN I GOT THE BATTERY CHECKED FOR POWER NOTHING SEEMED TO BE WRONG WITH THE BATTERY....
WINDSHIELD CRACKED IN A "T" WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN GARAGE WITH NO APPARENT ROCK CHIP IN WINDOW. *TR
MY WIFE CAME OUT OF WORK AND NOTICED A LARGE CRACK RUNNING FROM THE TOP/CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD DOWN AND TOWARDS THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED FROM 6:30 AM TO 3:30 PM AND WAS NOT NEAR ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACK FREE ON HER DRIVE INTO WORK AND SHE DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING HIT THE WINDOW WHILE DRIVING. THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF ANY SORT OF IMPACT ON THE WINDSHIELD AND THERE WAS NO DEBRIS (I.E STICKS, PINECONES, ROCKS) ON THE VEHICLE WHEN SHE CAME OUT OF WORK. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A SMALL PARKING LOT ON THE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE WHERE SHE WORKS.
WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED WHILE IT WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT IN OUR UNDER-HOUSE PARKING SPACE. CRACK BEGINS AT THE VERY TOP OF WINDSHIELD, ABOUT 3.5 INCHES FROM DRIVER SIDE EDGE OF WINDSHIELD, AND PROCEEDS DIAGONALLY FOR ABOUT 19 INCHES, DEFINITELY INTO DRIVER'S VIEWING AREA. NO SIGN OF ROCK OR OTHER DAMAGE ANYWHERE NEAR THIS CRACK.
VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED 30 DEC 2016. FULL WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT BY SUBARY DEALER ON 11APR2018, 1 YEAR 3 MOS FROM INITIAL PURCHASE DUE TO A SMALL ROCK HITTING WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, PASSENGER SIDE, LOWER CORNER EDGE. 31OCT2019, 1 YEAR 6MONTHS SINCE FULL REPLACEMENT, ANOTHER CRACK APPEARS IN THE WINDSHIELD, LOWER SECTION, MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD. THIS TIME WE WE HAD THE SPOT FILLED BECAUSE IT WAS VERY MINOR AND HAD NOT "SPIDERED". 18APRI2020, 6 MONTHS SINCE LAST CRACK, ANOTHER CRACK FROM ROCK WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, DRIVER SIDE LOWER CORNER EDGE. IT SPIDERED ON IMPACT TO THE POINT THAT WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD REPLACED BY THE DEALER. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING SINCE WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL DIFFERENCE VEHICLE BRANDS AND THIS IS THE ONLY CAR THAT HAS HAD REPEAT CRACKING OF THE WINDSHIELD. THERE MUST BE A DESIGN FLAW.
MY 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK TOURING CRACKED MY WINDSHIELD.
TWO ISSUES: - WINDSHIELD - I CAME OUT OF THE GYM TO SEE A HUGE CRACK IN MY WINDSHIELD. ON THE VERY NEXT DAY AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE A WHAT I ASSUME A SMALL ROCK HIT MY WINDSHIELD AND ANOTHER CRACK SPREAD ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. -LEATHER DRIVER CAR SEAT - WITHIN ONLY TWO YEARS OF USE, THE CAR SEAT IS RIPPED IN SEVERAL PLACES. NOTHING HAS EVER HAPPENED TO WARRANT SUCH RIPS.
I HAD TO REPLACE MY WINDSHIELD ON MY 2017 OUTBACK 02/14/2020 AND AGAIN ON 03/21/2020. I DIDN'T NOTICE ANY DIRECT IMPACT ON MY WINDSHIELD. ADVANCED AUTO GLASS IN WEATHERFORD, TX WAS THE GLASS COMPANY THAT DID THE REPLACEMENT. THEN THE SECOND TIME DIDN'T NOTICE CRACK EITHER. NEVER HEARD IMPACT. BUT ADVANCED SHOWED ME A SMALL PIN SIZED IMPACT AREA IN THE LOWER PART OF WINDSHIELD, THE PART THAT'S BLACK. THE CRACK WAS TOO LONG TO JUST FIX. SO WAITED TILL THE CRACK EXTENDED TO IN FROM OF DRIVER SIDE.
LARGE CRACK IN WINDSHIELD APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.
NOTICED A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. NO IMPACT OR EVENT CAUSED THE EVENT. FILED CLAIM WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY. WE NOTICED CRACK AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES DRIVING AFTER STOPPING FOR LUNCH.

IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY, WINDSHIELD CRACKED. CRACK COULD NOT BE REPAIRED AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF WINDSHIELD. REPLACEMENT COST WAS IN THE AMOUNT OF AUTO INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE OF $500.
WINDSHIELD CRACK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON A LOCAL STREETS STREET. IT'S THE BAY AREA IN CALI, SO THE WEATHER WAS AROUND 60 F. THERE WERE NO SIGN OR CHIPPED OR ANYTHING.

THERE ARE TWO CRACKS ON THE WINDSHIELD, INCLUDING AREAS THAT DON'T SEEM TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE HIT BY ROAD DEBRIS (ON THE VERY EDGE, PROTECTED BY BODY TRIM. THESE WERE DISCOVERED AND HAVEN'T BEEN CONNECTED TO ANY OBVIOUS PIECE OF ROAD DEBRIS OR DINGS. THEY WERE JUST DISCOVERED IN A NORMAL VISUAL INSPECTION PRIOR TO DRIVING.
WITHIN ONE YEAR OF OWNING MY NEW SUBARU I WENT THROUGH 3 WINDSHIELDS. ALL 3 TIMES I WAS TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY WHILE ON VACATION. EACH TIME I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TOTALING $1500. EARLY LAST YEAR 2018 I ONCE AGAIN HAD TO HAVE MY WINDSHIELD FIXED.
MY WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A CRACK STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM CENTER, RIGHT WHERE THE WINDHIELD HEATING ELEMENT IS. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION BUT NOTHING HIT THE WINDSHIELD, I JUST HEARD A POP AND SAW THE CRACK APPEAR AND IN A MATTER OF MINUTES IT WAS HALF WAY UP. ENDED UP REPLACING THE WINDSHIELD WITH AN AFTERMARKET ONE AFTER SUBARU OF AMERICA SAID THEY WON'T COVER IT.
MY FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO REASON. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND A CRACK APPEARED IN THE WINDSHIELD. THE CRACK QUICKLY GREW TO COVER A LARGE PORTION OF THE DRIVER'S FIELD OF VIEW.
ON FEB, 22, 2018 WHILE DRIVING SOUTH ON I35 FROM NORMAN TO PURCELL, OKLAHOMA THE FRONT WINDSHIELD OF OUR 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK SHATTERED COMPLETELY. THE GLASS REMAINED IN THE FRAME OF THE CAR BUT WAS FRACTURED INTO INNUMERABLE PIECES. THE TRAFFIC AHEAD OF US WAS GREATER THAN 100 YARDS AND I WITNESSED NO DEBRIS AIRBORNE BEFORE THE GLASS FAILED. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT OUR DESTINATION SEVERAL PEOPLE INSPECTED THE WINDSHIELD YET NONE OF US COULD DETERMINE A POINT OF IMPACT,EITHER BY THE DIRECTION OF THE FRACTURES OR BY AN INDENT IN THE GLASS.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED AND SPREAD AT MULTIPLE POINTS DURING MODERATE TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATION. CRACKED CONTINUED TO SPREAD OVER THE COURSE OF A WEEK. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT THE TIME THE CRACKS FORMED AND WAS PARKED WHEN THEY SPEAK. AMBIENT TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE VEHICLE WAS 75 DEGREES F WHILE DRIVING AND APPROX 40-55 F OUTSIDE.
WHILE DRIVING ON RESIDENTIAL ROAD WITH AND NOT HIT BY ANY DEBRIS OR STONES - , WINDSHIELD CRACKED STARTING FROM LOWER EDGE SECTION AND THEN ACROSS WINDSHIELD ON PASSENGER SIDE.
PARKED THE CAR WITH NO CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. WARMED UP THE CAR IN THE MORNING AND FOUND A CRACK WHEN LEAVING FOR WORK. VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN IT HAPPENED. CRACK IS LOCATED RIGHT ABOVE THE WIPER BLADE AND SPANS IN THREE DIRECTIONS RIGHT WHERE THE WIPER DEICER IS LOCATED. BECAUSE OF WHERE IT IS LOCATED IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY NORMAL DRIVING SUCH AS A ROCK OR DEBRIS. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A DEFECT IN THE WINDSHIELD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED AT THE BASE OF THE WINDSHIELD NEAR THE MIDDLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CHICO SUBARU (2522 COHASSET RD. CHICO, CA) WHO REPLACED THE WINDSHIELD HOWEVER, SOMETIME THEREAFTER THE REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD ALSO SUSTAINED A SIMILAR CRASK. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,500.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON
I PARKED MY CAR IN MY APARTMENT'S PARKING GARAGE OVERNIGHT. WHEN I WENT OUT TO MY VEHICLE IN THE MORNING THERE WAS A LARGE CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD APPROXIMATELY 24". THERE WERE NO CRACKS OR CHIPS IN THE WINDSHIELD PRIOR TO THE WINDSHIELD FAILING, NOR DID ANY OBJECT STRIKE THE WINDSHIELD WHEN IT WAS PARKED.
IRONICALLY ON THE SAME DAY THAT I HAD THE VEHICLE INSPECTED PER RHODE ISLAND INSPECTION LAWS, I PARKED THE CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY AFTER THE INSPECTION. I CAME OUT A WHILE LATER TO FIND THAT THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED. WHEN I FIRST OBSERVED IT, THE CRACK WAS ABOUT 6 INCHES LONG. IT HAS NOW EXCEED 2 FEET IN LENGTH. I WAS BAFFLED AS TO HOW THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED BUT THEN I SUBSEQUENTLY READ ABOUT HOW THERE WERE LAWSUITS BEING FILED AGAINST SUBARU BECAUSE THERE WERE NUMEROUS OTHERS WHOSE WINDSHIELD WERE CRACKING FOR NO REASON.
THE WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER AND HAS TRAVELED MORE THAN 15 INCHES TOWARDS THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CAUSE OF THE CRACK IS UNKNOWN
STRESS CRACK ON WINDSHIELD FOR NO APPARENT REASON. DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, NOTICED THAT THE WINDSHIELD STARTED TO CRACK FROM THE BOTTOM CENTER TO MIDDLE. THERE IS NO CHIP MARK FROM ROAD DEBRIS. JUST STARTED TO CRACK. NO CARS IN FRONT OF ME.
I HAD TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD AFTER DISCOVERING A CRACK. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN OUR CAR PORT AND WAS CRACK FREE WHEN LAST DRIVEN THE DAY BEFORE.
I PURCHASED NEW 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK ON AUGUST 2017. HOWEVER, THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED WITHOUT ANY REASON AFTER TWO WEEKS. I FOUND IT IN THE MORNING. I CALLED TO LOCAL DEALER, BUT THEY SAID THAT I NEED TO PAY OVER $800 TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD. TO SAVE MONEY, I REPLACED THE WINDSHIELD ON SAFELIFE AUTOGLASS. I PAID AROUND $500, BUT MY EYESIGHT WAS NOT ADJUSTED.
MY WINDSHIELD STARTED CRACKING FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I NOTICED IT AFTER GETTING READY TO TRAVEL HOME AFTER WORK. MY CAR WAS PARKED IN A COVERED GARAGE.
CRACKED WINDSHIELD REPLACED, WIPERS HAVE NOT WORKED AS WELL AFTER
TWO EPISODES OF SPONTANEOUS CHIPPING/CRACKING. FIRST CHIP HAPPENED IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER WHEN PARKED IN PARKING LOT. THIS HAPPENED BEFORE THE FIRST 3 MONTH CHECK-UP. WE CHOOSE NOT TO REPLACE IT AS THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF SPIDERING AND IT DID NOT AFFECT DRIVER VISION. SECOND CRACK HAPPENED TODAY, WHILE PARKED IN A GARAGE, AT AROUND 40K MILES. THIS IS A LARGE CRACK THAT IS ARISING FROM THE MEDIAL BOTTOM ASPECT OF THE WINDSHIELD.
CRACK IN WINDSHIELD ON DRIVERS SIDE, UNDER THE WIPER BADE AREA. APPEARS TO ORIGINATE IN THE 'FRIT' AREA OF THE WINDSHIELD. OCCURRED AROUND APRIL, 2019.
I BOUGHT MY SUBARU OUTBACK NEW FROM THE DEALER IN JUNE OF 2017. SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD THREE TIMES. THE FIRST CRACK, IN 2017 WAS THE RESULT OF A BLACK WALNUT FALLING FROM A TREE IN WHICH THE CAR WAS PARKED UNDER. THE CRACK WENT FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. THE SECOND CRACK IN 2018 WAS FROM GRAVEL ON A HIGHWAY EXIT WHEN THE CAR WAS TRAVELING AT 35MPH. THE CRACK STARTED AT THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD AND GREW ALL THE WAY DOWN AND ACROSS THE DRIVER'S SIDE IN LESS THAN A DAY. THE THIRD CRACK HAPPENED IN JANUARY 2020, THE CAR WAS TRAVELING AT 65MPH ON RT 95 WHEN THE DRIVER HEARD A POP AND A CRACK APPEARED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE DRIVER HAD NOT SEEN AN OBJECT HIT THE GLASS NOR HEARD ANYTHING GREATER...
WINDSHIELD CRACKED AND I'M NOT SURE WHY. STARTED SMALL; STRETCHED COMPLETELY ACROSS WITHIN TWO DAYS. DRIVING IT WITH THE CRACK DIDN'T FEEL SAFE. HARD TO SAY IF IT WAS HAPPENING WILE THE CAR WAS MOVING OR WHILE IT WAS PARKED SINCE IT HAPPENED SLOWLY.
UNEXPLAINED WINDSHIELD CRACKING STARTING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE AT THE EDGE OF THE WINDOW BY THE DEFROSTER.
THE WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A HORIZONTAL CRACK ON THE DRIVER SIDE ONLY A YEAR AND HALF INTO OWNERSHIP. NOTHING WAS OBSERVED TO HAVE STRUCK THE VEHICLE. THE CRACK WAS NOT THERE IN THE EVENING WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN OUR CARPORT. IT WAS OBSERVED WHEN WE WENT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN THE MORNING (JULY 10, 2018). SAN DIEGO WAS EXPERIENCING AVERAGE SUMMER TEMPERATURES. THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED AT OUR OWN COST, AS THE DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. A SECOND CRACK IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE HAS APPEARED APPROXIMATELY 18 MONTHS LATER. AGAIN, THERE WAS NO CRACK WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY IN THE EVENING. NOTHING STRUCK THE VEHICLE'S WINDSHIELD IN THE DAYS PRIOR. IN THE MORNING, WE CAME OUT TO AN IDENTICAL HORIZONTAL CRACK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD (JANUARY 21, 2020). THE TEMPERATURE WAS CONSISTENT WITH THE WINTER AVERAGE (LOW OF 45F)....
WHILE DRIVING ON HWY 101 IN PASO ROBLES , HEARD A LARGE POP. AFTER STOPPING NOTICED A CRACK APPROX 8 INCHES LONG ON PASSENGER SIDE ABOUT HALFWAY UP APPARENTLY EMANATING FROM THE EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD. DID NOT SEE AN OBVIOUS ROCK HIT.
THE WINDSHIELD IN OUR 2017SUBARU OUTBACK HAS FAILED FOR THE THIRD TIME IN THREE YEARS. A CRACK INITIATED IN THE PASSENGER SIDE LOWER CORNER WIPER DEFROST ZONE, AND GREW UPWARD AND INTO THE CENTRAL PART OF THE WINDSHIELD. SEE PHOTO. THIS HAPPENED UNDER ROUTINE LOW SPEED IN-TOWN DRIVING CONDITIONS AND FOR NO APPARENT REASON EXCEPT THE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER WAS ON. A CRACKED WINDSHIELD IS A SAFETY RISK. SUBARU IS WELL AWARE OF THE DEFICIENCIES IN THE WINDSHIELD DESIGN AND MATERIALS IN OUTBACKS AND OTHER SUBARU MODELS OF THIS VINTAGE, AND THE ATTENDANT SAFETY CONCERNS THE DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELDS REPRESENT. SUBARU OF AMERICA AND POWELL V. SUBARU OF AMERICA. SUBARU'S SOLUTION HAS BEEN TO REPLACE BROKEN DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELDS WITH NEW DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELDS OF THE SAME TYPE THAT...
WITHIN THE FIRST 100 MILES OF OWNING OUR BRAND NEW 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK A SMALL ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD GOING UNDER 10MPH AND A CRACK PROPAGATED ACROSS THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD. WHEN WE TOOK THE CAR INTO SUBARU THEY REJECTED FIXING THE ISSUE BECAUSE THEY SAID A ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD. RECENTLY WE TURNED ON OUR FRONT WINDOW DEFROSTER AND THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED AGAIN AND PROPAGATED ACROSS THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD AGAIN. WE REQUESTED SUBARU FIX THE ISSUE AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS A NON IMPACT FAILURE OF THE WINDSHIELD AND THEY REJECTED TO FIX THE WINDSHIELD BECAUSE THEY SAID OTHER SECTIONS HAD ROCK CHIPS (THE SECTION WHERE THE CRACK OCCURRED DID NOT HAVE A ROCK CHIP). THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE THAT THE WINDSHIELD WILL BREAK WITH LITTLE TO NO EXTERNAL FORCE BEING APPLIED TO IT WHICH WILL CAUSE THE WINDSHIELD TO FAIL AND SUBARU WILL NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE.
