2022 RAM 1500 Visibilitywiper Problems

The sun visors on both passenger and driver side pop out of the socket prohibiting the obstruction of the sun properly thus limiting visibility because of sun glare.

The dashboard Leather is delaminating causing viewing of the heads up display and lower windshield to be difficult, It also causes condensation build up on the windshield because the leather is redirecting the air. This Truck has 10245 miles.

The sun visor mount broke unexpectedly and blocked my vision as I was driving and almost caused an accident, I was driving on a country road and that probably prevented the accident.

Issues Defrosting windshield. A lot of fog and moisture on windshield when AC is running in car. Issues with rough shifting when accelerating. Will take longer to shift into next gear.

My back up camera has went out, I took it to be repaired at the dealership they said it was disconnected. It was reconnected at that time. It has quit again doing the same thing it was doing before. I have not disconnected any wires that would cause this issue.

On separate occasions, both the driver and passenger side visors spontaneously detached and fell into the line of sight while driving. In the case of the driver side visor, I was traveling on the interstate at approximately 75 mph when the visor failed and fell into my light of sight, impairing visibility. The failure was also sudden and distracting. The passenger side visor failed in the same way about 9 months later. It appears that a part securing the visor to the roof of the vehicle is defective and can fail without warning.

Wipers come on for now reason, no rain and not activated by driver. Interior screen goes black sometimes when backing up. After stopping for a traffic light then taking off, the transmission shifts to neutral. The only way to reengage the transmission is to come to a complete stop, put it in park and then back into drive. I have been to the dealer many times and they say unless it happens while in their care, there is nothing they can do. No codes come up. I gave them the day and time it last happened, thinking it must be stored in the computer and they would be able to track it down. Nope. This is a very dangerous problem. Was driving on interstate coming home from Texas when we encountered a winter storm that was producing freezing rain. We were running the defroster on high to stop the ice buildup that was occurring on the windshield when the air suddenly stopped blowing through the defroster vents and diverted to the floor vents. Our safety and others was compromised by the ice being able to build up and significantly reducing our visibility effectively causing us to have to stop on the offramps to de-ice the windshield. Against my better judgement I did not take vehicle to the dealer because other drivers of similar vehicles had reported that they have experienced similar results in similar conditions. There were no warning lamps or prior symptoms associated with this event.

My sun visor detatched and fell on my head while driving causing me to swerve into the median. I took it in and was told it's a common issue for RAMs, The dealership called MOPAR to file a clain, MOPAR insists the sun visor is a trim and not a safety related vehicle component designed to keep the driver from being blinded by the sun.

My 2022 Ram sunvisor has a broken connection that caused it to come loose from the roof/ceiling and dangle in my line of sight while driving. This almost caused an accident for me as it startled me and I had to take my hands off the wheel to stop it from swinging by the electrical cord. It is a powered sunvisor with my garage door opener built in and that is the only reason it did not fall completely in my lap. I am hoping by reporting that other people may have had a similar issue and measures can be taken to stop this from happening to others. I went to the place where I purchased the vehicle and warranty to find out that this defect is not covered under warranty. For a vehicle that is only 2 calendar years old with 49,000 miles, this part should not fail. I...

The sun visors are made cheaply and have broken off of both the driver side and passenger side. This makes driving towards the sun really dangerous and blinding.

Driving through mountains in the month of June and it started to rain , temperature dropped suddenly causing the windshield to frost over. I turned on the defrost and nothing happened. I could feel it blowing air out but it wasn’t clearing the windshield. We grabbed whatever we could find and tried clearing it but it didn’t seem to help. My wife had to roll down her window so we could see the edge of the road. There was heavy traffic, could have been a fatal accident, VERY SCARY. We sat there for 15 minutes to a half hour before we felt safe enough to continue. It happened again about a year later. Defrost on high and the visibility is extremely poor and dangerous while driving because if foggy. The ventilation system is very poor and have reported it already to the dealership.

HVAC problem when Defrosting windshield. When selected 100% Defrost. 85% airflow to feet and 15% to windshield. This does not clear the windshield creating a dangerous situation. I have even had the Defrost during heavy rain, it blows humid air onto my windshield fogging the windshield, then the a/c kicks in and dries the windshield and then the a/c shuts off and the windshield gets all fogged back up again. It keeps doing this in a cycle. I just picked up my truck from the dealer, they say it’s normal. It is NOT normal to not be able to see clearly out your windshield.

Defogger makes windshield unable to see out of have to pull over when driving because the window gets completly fogged

Defrost does not clear a frozen windshield unless it is above zero and on Max (7) setting. Not enough airflow.

Vehicle has no heat or defrost vehicle has been in the shop for over 30 days this problem began as soon as the car was leased new at the dealership which was at the end of January

There seems to be a design flaw in the Rams defrost system. The front defrost vent only produces air in the middle 12" of the 30" vent. With reduced to zero air coming out the outter ends of the vent, the drviers vision becomes extremely impaired in freezing and inclement weather. With the defrost on high, it can not timely remove the frosting or fogging of the window. Due to this design flaw I was in a near miss incident.

The front windshield would not defrost. I had viability only in the center. The two sides were iced up and would not clear. There is flow from the center section and little or no flow on the sides.

I reported the defrost problem previously. Reference # 11498898. The front window on the sides would not clear the ice. I had been driving for 45 minutes. Not much air comes out of the dash on the sides. I have since downloaded a video of my window instead of just a picture.

Windshield will fog up when a/c is running. I am unable to clear it without opening the windows for sometime or using the windshield wipers.

SERIUS RADIO KEEPS REMOVING FROM RADIO. #3 WHEN BRAKING THE CAR WILL THRUST FORWARD AS IN A PUSH, PUSHING YOU HARD INTO THE CAR STOPPED AHEAD OF YOU. THE HARDER THE BRAKING THE HARDER THE THRUST/PUSH. (THIS IS A MAGER SAFETY CONCERN) ITS NOT IF YOU GET INTO A ACCIDENT IT IS WHEN. THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE 2022 RAM 1500 BRAKING(EITHER TRANSMISSION OR POWER TRAIN) BUT IT IS BAD I ALMOST GOT INTO SEVERAL REAR END COLLISIONS DUE TO THE DODGES THRUST WHEN BRAKING. I SPOKE TO SOMEONE ELSE THAT ACTUALLY WORKS AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND OWNS A 2022 DODGE REAM AND HE STATED HIS DODGE RAM HAS THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE FORCEFUL THRUST WHEN BREAKING. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. #4 ELECTRICAL.

My defrost and heat will not operate correctly. A small area of the center windshield clears and that’s it. After warming up and driving ten miles, nothing more cleared. The controls would not change and there was no heat. I could barely see to drive. This is a danger to my self and other drivers as it is snowing and iced up.
