All Forward Collision Avoidance Complaints
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Forward Collision Avoidance became inoperable. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on three occasions; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was working as designed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 27,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Forward Collision Avoidance sensor failed to function as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, Byers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (465 S Hamilton Rd, Columbus, OH 43213) and the dealer was unable to retrieve a fault code. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

The contact pulled over and parked on the side of the roadway. The contact later restarted the vehicle, and the Forward Collision Avoidance warning light was no longer illuminated. The contact stated that while driving to his destination, the Forward Collision Avoidance feature failed to alert him of another vehicle in front. The brake pedal was depressed to stop the vehicle immediately. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and two other dealers, Whitten Brothers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Richmond (10701 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23235) and Farrish Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (9610 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22031); however, all three dealers were unable to duplicate the failure.
