Recall on high pressure fuel pump is causing truck to keep struggling during driving , and sudden stop at street few times
I bought this vehicle around 2 years ago from a local dealer. A week or so after purchase, I heard a small rattling sound at start up and a continuous ticking sound whle running. My sales rep said "that is normal, mine does it too and its nothing to worry about." 5 days ago, the sound at start was way louder than after purchase and lasted a bit longer. My extensive research, including talking to a Dodge service tech, it is broken bolts in the manifold due to excessive heat and warping of the manifold. Apparently this issue has been going on for years and has affected many Dodge/Ram owners. My vehicle is 3 months past its 5 year warranty and now I am left holding the bag to repair something that should be covered under a recall. This "ticking" and "rattling" sound is actually an exhaust leak and is...
There is a common well known problem with the Ram trucks that have the Hemi Engine. The passenger side cast iron exhaust manifold will warp and break the steel bolts off the aluminum head. This creates a hazardous exhaust leak where fumes are entering the cab. Also in states that require a state safety inspection it will fail because of the leak. It is a manufacturer safety defect and should be repaired by the manufacturer and not have the customer foot the bill for a bad design.
The problem is with the whole DEF System in the truck. for the last 6 months I can't go a week or less without getting some kind of code. Every time it effects the electronic throttle control and the truck goes into limp mode, I can be going 70 mph and it drops down to 30-40 mph no matter where I am at. I have almost been rear ended several times. I fix that code and a week later another code pops up and we do it all over again. I think I may have gone 2 weeks without a problem in the last 6 months. This time it is the DPF and DEF system, and here we go back into limp mode. I have had it to the dealer last week for issues which they couldn't figure out but thought that reprogramming would fix. So I leave to go...
Exhaust manifold leak
The active grill shutters and related wiring components are defective. The check engine light came on around 52000 and issued a code for U11E9- “replace active grill shutter.” I replaced it with a brand new part and the CEL remains on. Further investigation into similar instances in online forums suggest problems with the design of the wiring harness and pigtail that connects to the PCM. Many other consumers have reported this problem and were unable to resolve using the associated code, requiring further, expensive electrical repairs.
This vehicle experienced a Diesel EGR Cooler failure, for which there is an open recall by FCA under VB1/NHTSA 19V-757. Repairs were completed at the shop where it had been taken for diagnostics, and subsequently I submitted a reimbursement request to FCA following all guidelines and submitting all documents requested. However, FCA is refusing to honor the recall reimbursement request. They state their reasons below: 1) Vehicle is out of warranty. (Warranty status should have no bearing on a recall repair) 2) Parts replaced are not covered under the recall. (Parts replaced were specifically covered under recall VB1) 3) Repairs were not completed at a dealership. (The reimbursement process was created specifically for repairs completed at other repair centers) The above reasons stated by FCA are not valid, but FCA continues to deny reimbursement. FCA should honor their recall repair commitment and process. This incident leads me to believe FCA...
The engine seized, lost power and braking control while traveling on the freeway at approximately 70 mph during morning rush hour traffic. I had to merge into the ditch and ride it to a stop to avoid collisions on a busy freeway. Immediately called a tow truck to tow the vehicle to the dodge dealership closest to me to assess the problem. During the assessment the mechanic noted a seized motor due to the timing chain skiping and adjusting when the valve opens and closes, thus sending a valve through a piston and destoying the engine. Dodge has known about this issue with the 3.0 ecodiesel and all that they suggest is to sell it and buy a different truck. There are plenty of testimonials found if searched for, some that did not have as safe of an ending as i. The only warning light that was displayed was the...
Exhaust manifold bolt issue causing exhaust leak. This is a known issue for these engines and Ram will do nothing about the problem. In most areas an exhaust leak because of their defect will cause non inspection pass.
The magnetic material on the tone wheel delaminated causing the engine to stall and not restart. Incident was on the curve of a busy mountain road. The failed part was kept by dealer Jacky Jones Ram in Hayesville, NC. There were no prior warnings to the failure. This same failure is described in recall 20V-475 but my vehicle VIN is not included. There are several other occurrences in online forums of the same problem occuring on vehicles that are also outside of the recall VINs. The recall should be expanded to also include at least the vehicles that actually have the problem.
I was driving my 2018 RAM at night when it suddenly started to smoke. I had to stop in the middle of the road to find coolant had splattered on part of the engine and was leaking. Upon further inspection this morning I found there is a missing bolt on the radiator and it is cracked and a hose apparently burst. Called the dealership and states this is not covered by the warranty since I’m on my 4th year and the type of part that it is, however, the only people to have ever worked on this vehicle have been the dealership and they have never had to do any repairs on the car, only regular oil changes and a warranty repair to my Uconnect screen that was faulty. There is no reason why this would have happened other thanks faulty parts. Upon investigating further I found that 2018 Rams...
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 MPH, there was an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle. The low oil pressure warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that after turning off the vehicle, the vehicle was unable to be restarted. The vehicle was towed to an independent dealer, where it was diagnosed that the bearing on the crankshaft was loose and causing damage to the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
while driving on the highway with cruise control engaged at 60 mph there was a loud clunk sound and the truck immediately decelerated. The cruise control had disengaged and the truck seemed to go into limp home mode and the check engine light came on. I pulled to the side of the road and shut the engine off. I looked under the truck to see if I had run over something and checked the drive line for damage but found none. Restarting the engine took considerably more crank time than normal. While driving home the truck would not accelerate normally and top speed uphill was 19-23 mph depending on the climb with rpm around 3000 before what felt like fuel cut off and immediate deceleration until rpm was dropped to around 2000. The 5 hour trip home turned into an 8 hour trip. The check engine DTC is P0336 (crank...
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V757000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Vehicle is overheating, recall on this vehicle cannot be fixed in a timely manner due to no parts available. Also issue with low pressure light coming on due to no actual sensor just a switch. This issue has caused we to stall at 65+ mph while driving on the freeway.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, an abnormal ticking noise was heard. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the manifold had warped and damaged the manifold bolts. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 61,174.
engine knocking , seams to a big problem. trans is slipping more and more , . ive should of stayed with ford
Vehicle engine shuts off while driving. Once, sitting at a stop light. Once traveling at 45mph on a country road and once accelerating up a hill at 20mph. Dash says "place vehicle in park and turn key to start" (paraphrased). The vehicle goes from running to not running with no warning, causing loss of power steering, brakes, etc. Took vehicle to certified RAM service center who said 'there are no codes and we cannot reproduce the issue, so no diagnosis possible' (paraphrased). No error codes, no warning lamps. If this happens in highway traffic with my 16 year old son driving, it could cause a fatal crash.
I RECEIVE SEVERAL RECALL NOTICES ON EGR COOLING SYSTEM AND DEALERS COMPLAIN THEY DON'T HAVE PARTS TO DO REPLACEMENT. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON OVER A YEAR. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE HAVE BEEN FIRES AS A RESULT. CAN YOU INVESTIGATE THIS SITUATION. DEALERS IN REDDING, RED BLUFF, AND CHICO,CA SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE PARTS AND DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET THEM. THANK YOU.
NOTICEABLE TICKING SOUND FROM ENGINE BAY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED. THE SOUND CONTINUES AND GETS FASTER WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ONTO THE FREEWAY. THE SOUND IS CAUSED FROM A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN OF THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. THEY WARP FROM THE HEAT OF THE ENGINE AND SNAP THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THEM TO THE ENGINE BLOCK. PROBLEMS THAT THIS CAUSES; - LEAKING EXHAUST TRIPS THE O2 SENSOR CHANGING THE FUEL TRIMS AND CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO RUN RICH. THE VEHICLE ALWAYS RUNNING RICH EFFECTS THE ECO MODE AND VEHICLE PERFORMANCE THUS CAUSES LONG TERM DAMAGE. - WHEN THE BOLTS SNAP OFF THEY DROP OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE AND BECOME A PROJECTILE THAT HITS THE WINDSHIELD OF UNSUSPECTING DRIVERS AND CAUSE ACCIDENTS. - HEAT CAUSED FROM THE HEAT SHIELD FALLING OFF AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BEING LOOSE CAUSES WIRES IN THE ENGINE BAY TO MELT AND...
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2018 RAM 1500 DIESEL WITH 23,000 MILES FROM CARMAX. THERE IS A RECALL, VB1, ON THE TRUCK. THE PARTS REQUIRED TO FIX THE RECALL ARE UNAVAILABLE IN A TIMELY MANNER. I CONTACTED 7 RAM DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA TO DISCOVER EACH HAS A WAITING LIST FOR THE PARTS OF 70 TO 200 VEHICLES BECAUSE THE PARTS ARE "RESTRICTED"; ONLY 1 PART MAY BE ORDERED PER WEEK BY ANY DEALERSHIP. THEREFORE, THE ACTUAL TIME REQUIRED TO REPAIR THE DEFECT IS AT MINIMUM IS 1 TO 3 YEARS AT THAT RATE. ACCORDING TO THE RECALL VB1 THERE IS A RISK OF A POTENTIAL VEHICLE FIRE. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER (FCA) CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO GET THE PARTS FASTER TO THE DEALERS SINCE THEY ARE RESTRICTED TO 1 PART PER ORDER PER WEEK, THAT THERE IS NO ETA OF WHEN ,...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT OIL WAS LEAKING FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A CRACKED ENGINE FILTER HOUSING AND COOLANT UNIT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 18V332000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL) AND 19V347000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE DEALER CENTRAL CHRYSLER JEEP (56 BOSTON-PROVIDENCE TURNPIKE, NORWOOD, MA 02062) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
ON FEBRUARY 1, SHORTLY AFTER 9:00 PM CENTRAL THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE. I WAS IN THE LEFT HAND LANE, HAVING JUST PASSED AS SEMI A BIT EARLIER. I INSTINCTIVELY TRIED TO START IT WHILE IT WAS MOVING, CAUSING THE HEADLIGHTS TO GO OFF WHILE I'M DOING 75 MPH. AT THAT POINT STARTED TO PULL OVER, THOUGH I COULD BARELY SEE THE CONCRETE DIVIDER AND HAD TRIED TO KEEP THE TIRES ON THE RUMBLE STRIP AS I SLOWED DOWN UNTIL I COULD SEE THE BARRIER BETTER. ONCE PULLED OVER, I GOT IT IN PARK, STARTED IT, AND WAS ABLE TO GET HOME WITH NO ISSUE. WHEN THE ENGINE SHUT OFF THE DASH LIT UP THEN WENT OUT LIKE IT WOULD WHEN YOU TURN THE IGNITION OFF. IT'S A MIRACLE WE DID NOT HIT THE DIVIDER OR THE SEMI BEHIND US DIDN'T HIT US.
MY LOCAL DEALER SAID THEY DON'T HAVE THE EGR PARTS THAT ARE RECALLED
THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME OF A RECALL. I ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE THE VEHICLE FOR THE RECALL REPAIR BUT WAS TOLD THAT A LIMITED SUPPLY OF PARTS WOULD NOT ALLOW THE REPAIRS. I HAVE BEEN PUT ON A WAITING LIST THAT ACCORDING TO THEIR TIMELINE, COULD BE SEVERAL YEARS LONG.
WHILE BACKING UP THE VEHICLE STOPPED, BELLS WENT OFF IN VEHICLE, THE P LIGHT ON THE SHIFTER AND DASHBOARD BEGAN FLASHING, A MESSAGE APPEARED IN THE DASH MESSAGE CENTER STATING TO APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE. I SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF BUT ONLY COULD TURN THE KEY TO ACCESSORY. THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T SHIFT TO PARK. THE VEHICLES ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WOULDN'T SHUT DOWN, I COULDN'T REMOVE THE KEY. WHILE STOPPED I OPENED THE OWNERS MANUAL TO REVIEW THE TRANSMISSION SECTION AND IT EXPLAINED THAT IF THE ISSUE OCCURS TO FOLLOW PRINTED PROCEDURE. EVENTUALLY I WAS ABLE TO SHUT DOWN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE ISSUE IS THAT THIS COULD BEEN A MORE SERIOUS ISSUE IF I WASN'T BACKING INTO MY OWN DRIVEWAY. THIS WOULDN'T TURNED OUT WELL IF I WAS BACKING INTO A BUSY STREET. I HAVE A VIDEO AVAILABLE OF THE LIGHTS FLASHING. I ATTACHED A STILL PHOTO OF THE DASH.
REFERENCE NHTSA RECALL 19V-757 ISSUED IN OCT 2019: ALMOST A YEAR LATER NOW AND MY LOCAL RAM DEALER STILL IS TELLING ME THEY DON'T HAVE IN STOCK PART TO USE ON MY TRUCK PER RECALL. INEXCUSABLE. PLEASE PRESS DODGE TO GET THIS RECAL DONE.
VB1 - NHTSA 19V-757 SAFETY RECALL FCA DEALERSHIP NOT REPLACING DEFECTIVE EGR COOLER WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME PERIOD. DEALERSHIP REPEATEDLY STATES PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER. THIS ISSUE HAS REMAINED UNRESOLVED SINCE OCTOBER 2019.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 RAM 1500 CLASSIC. THE CONTACT INITIALLY RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V757000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO NAPLETON'S NORTHLAKE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (3701 NORTHLAKE BLVD, LAKE PARK, FL 33403) ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS AND EACH TIME THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AS MONTH'S WENT BY, COOLANT BEGAN TO LEAK OUT OF THE EXHAUST AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO OVERHEAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AS THE TEMPERATURE INDICATOR WOULD SHOW THE VEHICLE RUNNING HOT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS THEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO NO LONGER DRIVE THE VEHICLE; THEY OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE FOR HER...
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
WITHOUT WARNING OR APPARENT CAUSE, REMOTE START RESULTED IN 'CLICK' SOUND. ATTEMPTED TO START WITH PUSH BUTTON AND DID NOT TURNOVER. RECEIVED JUMP. AFTER PARKING AND RETURNING, ISSUE RESUMED. DISCOVERED NECESSITY TO KEEP PUSHING START BUTTON UNTIL VERY, VERY ROUGH AND RESISTANT TURNOVER INITIATED. ONCE ENGINE IS ON, NO ISSUES (OTHER THAN BLANK 'FUEL ECONOMY' AND 'VEHICLE INFO' SCREENS.) CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. PROBLEM PERSISTS, ACCESSORIES OPERATIONAL. ODB 2 CODE: P1DF3
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. ADDITIONALLY, A WARNING MESSAGE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NO LONGER START WITHIN 14 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ST. HELENS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (57895 COLUMBIA RIVER HWY, WARREN, OR 97053, (503) 836-7944) WHO STATED THAT THE DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED TWICE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,418.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V757000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) HOWEVER THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT PHONED GRESHAM CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1301 SOUTH, US-31 STE 2, GREENWOOD, IN 46143), AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE JUNE 18, 2020. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PART DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
DIESEL ECODIESEL ENGINE CATASTROPHIC FAILURE WHILE DRIVING IN MOUNTAINOUS AREA. LOST ALL POWER IMMEDIATELY AND RESULTED IN INTERFERENCE WITH STEERING, BRAKES, AND NEED TO MOVE OFF OF THE ROADWAY TO AVOID OTHER TRAFFIC. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 11,300 MILES, FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING.
ERG COOLER LEAK *TR
RECALL VB!/NHTSA 19V-757 ,WHEN I GOT THIS RECALL A COUPLE MONTHS AGO I WENT TO MY DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN APRIL, CALLED APRIL 16TH AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE A LOT OF VEHICLES ON THE LOTS THAT NEED TO BE FIXED FIRST AND CHECK BACK IN JUNE TO SEE IF THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR MY VEHICLE. WHEN I LOOKUP THE PROBLEMS MANY OF THE SAME VEHICLES LIKE MINE ARE BURNING IN JUST A SHORT TIME. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS HAS NOT BEEN A PRIORITY FOR THE DEALER OR MANUFACTURE. I AM NOT DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AS MUCH AS I WANT TO, ALSO NOT ALLOWING MY GRAND CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. LOOKUP ECO DIESEL RAM TRUCKS ON YOUTUBE AND WATCH THEM BURN. *TR
ECODIESEL ENGINE FAILED AT 38,000 MILES. MAIN JOURNAL BEARING ALLOWED CRANKSHAFT TO SLIP. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. EXPERIENCED SEVERE ENGINE SHAKE.
I WAS NOTIFIED OF A RECALL VB1 FOR THE EGR ON MY ECODIESEL, TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 1/18/20 FOR INSPECTION OF THE EGR. WAS INFORMED NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE, NOR WOULD THEY BE AVAILABLE UNTIL AT LEAST THE END OF APRIL. WAS INFORMED TRUCKS THAT USED ANTIFREEZE COOLANT DUE TO CRACKED EGR WOULD GET REPLACED/REPAIRED FIRST. MY TRUCK HAS APPETITE FOR COOLANT, HAVE USED A BIT OVER 2 GALLONS SINCE NEW. YOU CAN SMELL COOLANT, ONE WOULD THINK THERE WAS A LEAK, WAS INFORMED IT WAS THE CRACKED EGR. COOLANT IN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER WILL CAUSE PREMATURE ENGINE FAILURE. MY TRUCK WAS NOT RETURNED TO ME UNTIL 2/25/20 BECAUSE OF OTHER NEEDED WORK. MY FUEL MILEAGE HAS BEEN WELL BELOW THE EPA RATED 27 MPG, IS IT BECAUSE OF THE EGR? I HAD FAMILY EMERGENCY IN CALIF AND I PLANNED TO DRIVE THERE FROM MY HOME HERE...
I JUST WANTED TO CHARE THIS WITH YOU GUYS MY RAM 1500 ECODIESEL IS STILL NOT FIXED ALONG WITH EVERYBODY ELSE THE VB1 RECALL FCA IS DRAINING THERE FEET THE TRUCK HAS BEEN IN SERVICE FOUR TIMES NOW AND I AM STILL LOSING COOLANT AND THERE IT I KEEP ASKING WHEN ARE THE CORRECT PARTS GOING TO BE AVAILABLE TO ME AND I GET THE SAME ANSWER DEALERSHIP SAYS WE DONT KNOW NOTHING CALL FCA YOU CALL THEM AND THEY SAY NO REMEDY IN SITE THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON THE PROBLEM IT'S BEEN ALMOST 6 MONTHS NOW AND STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THE PROBLEM SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE AND VERY SOON I THANK YOU RAFAEL.
GOT THE RECALL, TOOK IT TO MY DEALER AND THEY SAID IT'S NOT MUCH OF A PROBLEM, AND WHEN THE FIX IS AVAILABLE THEY WOULD LET ME KNOW. WENT ONLINE AND SEEN SEVERAL OF THE TRUCKS LIKE MINE HAVE BEEN TOTALED FROM A FIRE, AND THEY BURN PRETTY FAST. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FIX SHOULD BE AVAILABLE SOMETIME IN APRIL.
SEVERE POWER LAG FROM THE TIME YOU PUSH THE ACCELERATOR TO THE TIME THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY INCREASES SPEED. FUEL MILEAGE HAS DECREASED 30%. THIS IS A PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE.
I WANT TO REPORT A SAFETY CONCERN. THE CONCERN IS ALREADY AWARE BY THE MANUFACTURER BUT I WANT TO ADDRESS THE POTENTIAL RISK IT PUT OUR FAMILY IN. THE RECALL IS KNOWN AS THE VB! OR NHTSA # 19V-757. WE BOUGHT THIS TRUCK TO HAVE A NICE AND RELIABLE CAR TO TRANSPORT OUR 1 YEAR OLD CHILD IN. OUR LAST 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LEFT US STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RODE WITH OUR KID DUE TO THE COMPUTER TELLING ALL INJECTORS TO STAY OPEN AND RESULTING IN THE MOTOR HYDRO-LOCKING ITSELF. WE TOOK OUT FINANCING TO PURCHASE AND THE GREAT 2018 ECODIESEL DODGE RAM. JUST 2 MONTHS INTO OWNING THIS MY WIFE LOST ALL POWER GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY. SHE REPORTED MASS AMOUNT OF SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD AND THANK GOD SHE MANAGED TO MERGE OVER ALL LANES AND TO THE BEST OF HER ABILITY WITH NO...

THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT NOT TO PARK THE VEHICLE NEAR HIS HOME DUE TO IT BEING AT A HIGH RISK OF CATCHING FIRE BECAUSE OF THE FRACTURES IN THE EGR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE A LOANER VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.*DT CONSUMER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER ON 10/24/2019....
MY VEHICLES HAS HAD A 2 RECALLS AND HAVE ALSO TAKEN IN FOR REPAIR. RECENTLY I HAD TO TAKE IT FOR A TICKING NOISE, THEY FOUND THAT THE TICKING NOISE WAS DUE TO AN EXHAUST LEAK ON THE RIGHT EXHAUST MANIFOLD. EVERY SEVERAL MONTHS THERE'S A NEW ISSUE FOUND WITH MY VEHICLE.
THE BACK UP CAMERA GOES OUT AND BLACK OUTS AT TIMES. SOMETIMES IT LOOKS LIKE A OLD TV WITH WAVY LINES. THE DRIVERS WINDOW CONTROLLER, YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO USE AUTO DOWN AND AUTO UP. AT TIMES, YOU MUST HOLD UP ON THE WINDOW SWITCH TO MAKE THE WINDOW GO UP. THE HEADLIGHTS COME ON WHEN YOU ENTER A DARK GARAGE AND WHEN YOU PULL OUT THEY STAY ON. MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THE HEADLIGHTS WILL COME ON DURING MORNING WITH FULL SUNSHINE. SOMETIMES THERE IS A VERY LOUD KNOCKING COMING FROM THE MOTOR . SOUNDS LOVE LIKE A BAD VALVE.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE LAGS POWER TO MOVE VEHICLE FOR ABOUT A 4 SEC DELAY THEN POWER WILL MOVE THE TRUCK ABSOLUTELY A SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS COLD FORM A STOP. HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE TRUCK.
LONG LAG BETWEEN THE TIME YOU STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR AND THE WHEN THE TRUCK WOULD RESPOND. CREATED DANGEROUS SITUATION SPECIALLY MERGING WITH FAST MOVING TRAFFIC AND MOVING FROM STOP SIGNS. VEHICLE WOULD GO INTO LIMP MODE WITHOUT WARNING. IT WAS DEEMED TO A LEMON AND FCA BOUGHT IT BACK ONLY TO RESELL TO SOMEONE ELSE.
I OWN A 2018 ECODIESEL AND WHEN MY TRUCK WENT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE THEY DID AN UPDATE CALLED AEM OR V08 EMISSIONS UPDATE. AFTER THE UPDATE MY TRUCK NO LONGER ACCELERATES FROM A STOP. IT CRAWLS AT UNDER 10MPH EXTREMELY SLOW APROX. 90 SECONDS UNTIL THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS I HAVE BEEN IN 3 NEAR ACCIDENTS DUE TO A LACK OF ACCELERATION. IN ADDITION TO THE LACK OF ACCELERATION I NOW GET MUCH LOWER GAS MILEAGE. PRIOR TO THE UPDATE I WAS GETTING 27 MPG, NOW THE BEST I HAVE GOTTEN WAS 19MPG. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW, TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE THAT GET GOOD GAS MILEAGE AND DRIVES THEY WAY IT DID WHEN I TEST DROVE IT, WHICH IS THE REASON WHY I PURCHASED IT. ONLY FOR THEM TO COMPLETELY CHANGE MY VEHICLE AFTER THE PURCHASE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION IS TO...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2018 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT CONNECTED AN ENGINE BLOCK HEATER TO THE VEHICLE DURING COLD INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE CONTACTS DRIVE WAY, WHEN AN INDIVIDUAL INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE. THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTED TO REVERSE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE AWAY FROM HIS HOME. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO REVERSE SO THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE USING A FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO NO AVAIL. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT A FEW DAYS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT 4- 5 FUSES BLEW OUT IN THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY THE POLICE THAT ARRIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS MADE. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED TOTALED BY THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE. THE CONTACT CALLED LOT LAGERS MANKATO (1815...
