I received notification of NHTSA recall 22V-024 in the beginning of the year. In this notification it is stated that the repair is currently being developed by Nissan to remedy your vehicle and the remedy is anticipated to be available in Spring of 2022. It is now mid-August and there is still no remedy. I asked the Nissan dealer when i brought my car in for inspection back in February and they said there was no remedy yet. Now I just called Nissan Consumer Affairs and still no remedy. Everytime I am told I will receive a letter in the mail when a remedy is available. Its been 8 months which is more than a reasonable amount of time to pass without a remedy. I have experienced some of the conditions related to this recall (drivers power window inoperative) and I am worried every time I drive my car of...

Electrical, power window failure, corrosion from recalled wiring parts could cause a fire in my vehicle. Problem confirmed by Nissan and car repair, Nissan does not have available parts to replace the recalled parts required to maintain safe driving.
#11478144 | Fire
Saturday 08/06/2022 my 2016 Nissan Rogue caught fire as I was driving down a side street in Adrian, MI. 49221. Lights came on on my dash, it appeared to be every warning light, the car jerked me over as if I lost power steering and the car took over, my son and I could smell something hot. I put the vehicle in park as flames were coming from the engine compartment, my son was able to open his door and get out, my driver side door would not open and I had to climb out the driver side window! The fire department was called and after they were able to put out the fire as I watched my car literally melting, they told me it was an electrical fire. My car was then towed to Clift Buick GMC in Adrian, Michigan.

The cargo/ hatch lift no longer opens/lifts the hatch to make the cargo space available for use. I didn't notice any warnings or flashing lights to let me know it was failing. One day while putting groceries in the cargo space, the hatch came down across my back pining me between the hatch door and the rear vehicle frame while I was. reaching the groceries inside the cargo area. A man who was passing by helped me get free. After that the life no longer went up automatically at the push of a button. At first it made a whinning noise and unlocked but would not go up. Then it made no noise at all and has not worked since. It has not been inspected by the dealer. I am checking for recalls to see if this is a problem others are having. My vehicle is a 2016 Nissan Rogue...

My window on passenger side will roll down but not back up. The fuses are fine and i swapped out the switch panel, still doesn't work. From researching it seems that the master switch on drivers side window affects this. I've brought it to the Nissan dealer in Burns Harbor, IN and they first tried to tell me there wasnt a recall. I then saw on carfax that there was so I called back and then they said there was a recall but no remedy. This has been going on for 3 months that I continue to call Nissan and customer affairs etc. I have to pay to get it fixed because I have no other car and I transport my paralyzed daughter. This is ridiculous!!

I tried to start my car in November 2021 and it was dead. Bought a new battery, replaced with old, since this, driver window has a delay and AC unit would turn off of recirculating to open air on its own or just wouldn’t blow cold intermittently. Then on April 28, 2022 - my battery was dead, upon my own inspection, found corrosion on the positive terminal. Knowing that my battery was new - this was alarming. Cleaned off the corrosion and car starts up - but still experiencing the driver window issue and AC is now working but extremely cold on lowest setting.

Been dealing with an issue of the driver side window failing. It has failed three separate times in the past year and remain stuck inside the driver side door unable to go back up. Twice during winter once in the summer. I had to wait weeks during the winter to get the window remedied with a newborn and a 3 year old. They both happened during blizzards where I was forced to figure out how to get my family home safely with window stuck down during a 2 separate winter storms. My dashboard lights are now all lit up , no AWD, traction control, cruise, and a check engine light now. Have had 1 year and had nothing but issues. Now we’re down to one vehicle so my wife drives this vehicle and drops me off at work and drives our children around. The smell of burning plastic is starting...

My battery completely drained around 24,000 miles, my car just hit 31,000 miles. My air bag light stays on continuously, after this happened my drivers side window quit working, worked fine no noise or anything, then 1 minute later quit working. The lock, unlock button on the outside door handle quits working at times. The remote, key fob doesn't work all the time even after replacing the battery in it. At least 1 to 2 times a week my radio and navigation system won't come on when I start my cars, I have to turn off the car 2 to 3 times to get it to start working. Sometimes the power tailgate won't work for days at a time with the button inside the car. Sometimes the button to start the car does nothing, just have to keep trying. Random warning lights will come on while driving then just turn...

The sunroof leaks everytime it rains. No damage had been done and no accidents. Nissan dealership says it is not leaking, but there are water stains and I have watched rain pour in while it is raining. The drains have been cleaned out twice by a Nissan dealership, but that does not fix the problem.

while attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle hesitated to respond. Several seconds later the vehicle started performing as intended. Turning the car off when it doesn't accelerate from a stop and then turning it back on, fixes the problem for the moment. No warning lights came on. It happens more after being in stop and go traffic and it happens very sporadically

While driving on the highway going 55mph out of no where. No warning sign or anything the forward collision warning and then the malfunction comes across the display. And the SUV just comes to a about 2 mph . Leaving me to pull over immediately to safety. This is not safety me or the drivers on the road. This has happened several times.

I HAVE BEEN PULLED OVER TWICE NOW BECAUSE OF PASSENGER HEADLIGHT OUT, AND ALSO THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS OUT. WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE BULBS BOTH LIGHTS WERE IN WORKING ORDER. THE HEADLIGHT WAS WORKING WHEN I FIRST STARTED DRIVING. IT QUIT WHILE IN MOTION. THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT QUIT WORKING ON A DIFFERENT OCCASION AND I AM NOT 100% SURE IF IT WORKED WHEN I FIRST STARTED TO DRIVE. I WAS PULLED OVER AND GIVEN A TICKET. THE NEXT DAY I WENT TO NEAREST AUTO PARTS STORE AND PURCHASED NEW BULBS. WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE BOTH BULBS THEY WERE BOTH WORKING. I OBVIOUSLY AM UNABLE TO SAY IF THEY BOTH QUIT WHILE DRIVING, HOWEVER I NOW CHECK ALL LIGHTS BEFORE DRIVING ANYWHERE.

FIRST THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE SLIP INDICATOR (OR TRACTION CONTROL) LIGHT FOR THE VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL WOULD COME ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING BOTH ON THE HIGHWAY AND OTHER ROADS. THEN ONE DAY, I WENT TO START MY CAR AND ALL OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING AND IT WOULDN'T START. WE BOUGHT JUMPER CABLES AND JUMPED IT BUT IT STILL WOULDN'T START THE NEXT DAY. SO I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND IT WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK. THEN WHILE DRIVING TO WORK, THE SLIP INDICATOR (TRACTION CONTROL) LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND IT WOULDN'T GO ABOVE 20 MPH AND I HAD TO FLOOR THE GAS TO EVEN GET IT TO GO TO THAT SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS JERKING SO BAD, I HAD TO PULL OVER. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND IT TURNS OUT IT NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION WITH UNDER 100,000...

YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE THIS, BUT IT HAPPENED A FOURTH TIME AT 60,509 MILES ON 1/5/2021, BUT THIS TIME IT...

CLOGGED SUNROOF DRAINS HAVE CAUSE THE CABIN OF THE CAR TO GET A LOT OF WATER. CONDENSATION/WATER BUILDUP ON THE INTERIOR OF WINDSHIELD IS CONSTANTLY OCCURRING CAUSING MY ABILITY TO SEE OUT THE WINDSHIELD TO BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. LITTLE ELECTRICAL ISSUES HAVE BEEN HAPPENING, SUCH AS TURN SIGNAL BULBS GOING OUT. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS A VERY MOLDY/MILDEW SMELL THAT'S PROBABLY KILLING MY LUNGS.
#11386228 |
WHEN IN GEAR (DRIVE, REVERSE, LOW) THE CAR WILL VIBRATE CONSTANTLY AS WELL AS AT A STOP NOT JUST WHILE DRIVING. THE SEATS ARE CONSTANTLY MOVING (VIBRATING, CREAKING WHILE TURNING) WHEN SPEEDING UP IT HESITATES TO SHIFT OR SHIFTS ROUGH.
