| 190 vehicles affected

Defect: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque convertible vehicles equipped with 20-inch wheels. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may be incorrectly set and thus may not illuminate the warning on the instrument panel when a tire's pressure is 25% below the recommended cold inflation pressure. Significant safety defect in 2018 Range Rover Evoque Convertible regarding water ingress, documented in JLR Technical Bulletin LTB01227NAS1. Design flaws in the A-pillar and rear drainage channels allowed water to flood the interior, saturating the primary electrical wiring harness and destroying electronic modules, including the convertible top lift motor. Despite attempted repairs, the vehicle has a "parasitic battery drain," indicating permanent moisture-induced damage the dealer cannot resolve after 60+ days. SAFETY RISK: Saturated chassis-level wiring creates an imminent risk of short circuits and electrical fire. Since the flooding, the vehicle has displayed random warning lights (ABS, Traction, Transmission), signaling system instability. The battery's inability to hold a charge suggests constant, unintended electrical flow through compromised circuits. This poses a severe risk of sudden component failure, loss of vehicle control, or electrical fire while in motion or parked. CONFIRMATION: Confirmed by Land Rover South Orlando (Dealer #40578). Technicians verified drainage failure caused the flooding. The vehicle has been in their possession since Dec 2024. The dealer confirmed that even after replacing modules, the vehicle is non-functional due to an unresolved parasitic draw. SYMPTOMS: Sudden loss of audio/top operation, standing water in footwells, random safety warning lamps, and rapid battery depletion.

On 12/19/2025 camera view was foggy, it did clear up after a few days. On 01/08/2026 camera system fault turned on and will not clear. There is no back up camera and is not on recall
#11709167 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | | N/A miles
The problem is the backup camera no longer works. I have trouble seeing when backing up and have almost hit a few persons/things. I found an article online about a recall for our car. the issue is the cars VIN is not listed in the recall batch and was told that by Land Rover Range Rover Customer Service. They asked that I fill out a safety form to get my VIN number into the recall batch.

purchased a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque from Car Choice in Carrollton, Texas in October 2025. Shortly after purchase, I discovered the vehicle was sold in an unsafe and non-roadworthy condition. The vehicle had NO rear brake pads present at the time of sale, creating an immediate and serious safety hazard. In addition, the wheels cannot be removed due to a missing wheel lock key, preventing proper servicing of the braking system. Additional defects include a coolant system leak, windshield washer fluid leak, and an inoperative sunroof. The dealership informed me the vehicle only passed an emissions inspection and did not undergo a safety inspection. These safety-related defects were not disclosed prior to sale. Had I known the vehicle lacked rear brake pads, I would not have purchased it. After reviewing Better Business Bureau (BBB) records, I observed the dealership has a history of consumer complaints involving the sale of vehicles with undisclosed defects and safety issues, suggesting this may be a pattern rather than an isolated incident. I have filed formal complaints with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and the Texas Attorney General. Despite notifying dealership management, the dealer has denied responsibility and failed to resolve the matter.
