purchased a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque from Car Choice in Carrollton, Texas in October 2025. Shortly after purchase, I discovered the vehicle was sold in an unsafe and non-roadworthy condition. The vehicle had NO rear brake pads present at the time of sale, creating an immediate and serious safety hazard. In addition, the wheels cannot be removed due to a missing wheel lock key, preventing proper servicing of the braking system. Additional defects include a coolant system leak, windshield washer fluid leak, and an inoperative sunroof. The dealership informed me the vehicle only passed an emissions inspection and did not undergo a safety inspection. These safety-related defects were not disclosed prior to sale. Had I known the vehicle lacked rear brake pads, I would not have purchased it. After reviewing Better Business Bureau (BBB) records, I observed the dealership has a history of consumer complaints involving the sale...

While driving, the vehicle will randomly shut off in traffic. I will usually hear 3 "beeps" right before it happens. The vehicle shuts down and goes into Park automatically. It has to be restarted and placed back into Drive. The display will read "Select Gear to Maneuver" and the home screen will read "Special Programs Off" with a lengthy definition. Vehicle was inspected and diagnostics performed by Land Rover dealer in Indianapolis. Technicians did not find any stored codes, warnings, or any indication of what would cause the defect. Since the inspection in late July, the vehicle has shut down 3 times. 8/21/23 & twice on 9/20/23.

Vehicle is experiencing the same malfunction as was recalled on 2019 and 2020 Range Rover Evoque's for "excessive engine cooling fan noise in the passenger compartment and eventual degradation of the engine cooling system performance." After several minutes of operation, the engine cooling fan begins running at an abnormally loud volume and despite adequate engine temperature levels, does not stop running until operation of the vehicle has ceased. After much research regarding this issue I have found it to be apparent in several Jaguar and Land Rover vehicle models apart from the 2019 and 2020 Range Rover Evoque. One such consumer stated the fan spun in such excess that it dislodged and powered through the front hood of the vehicle which could have resulted in serious bodily harm. The problem has been reproduced with a service technician and is awaiting inspection by Jaguar Land Rover in Honolulu who have acknowledged...
