The most recent occurrence happened on January 20, 2026. This was not the first time this issue occurred. During a prior incident involving the same loss of accelerator response and unpredictable vehicle behavior, my small children were passengers in the vehicle and became visibly distressed and worried. During the most recent incident on January 21, 2026, while driving through an intersection, the vehicle entered a reduced power or “limp mode” condition and would not accelerate when the accelerator pedal was pressed. When the accelerator pedal was released, the vehicle accelerated unexpectedly and rapidly. Warning indicators related to electronic stability control and the high-voltage system were present. Diagnostic information later indicated loss of communication with the high-voltage battery systems. The vehicle behavior was unpredictable and felt unsafe. This occurred after the vehicle had been driven and was not limited to startup. Given that this issue has occurred more than once, including...
Entire electrical system failed. Car was unable to turn off, it was stuck in gear. Now car will not turn on, or charge, unresponsive. It is bricked. I have a call into Stellantis and the dealership. It's been 3 days and I have not heard back from either.
Main instrument cluster failed. There was no warning. Occasionally, the main screen would boot up slow. Currently at dealership where they diagnosed the screen to not be communicating. With the screen not working, it disabled the turn signals and the blind spot monitoring, would turn the "1 pedal drive" on and off randomly, no speedometer.
Vehicle - will power up but will not move/drive. Error showing “service Electrical system” Problem has been confirmed by the dealer This is the 3rd instance of this issue
While driving on the interstate, the vehicle went into “limp” mode and showed a turtle on my screen. From there, my vehicle decelerated drastically from 80 to 40 and did not allow me to accelerate. The screen showed a message that stated the systems were shutting down. My vehicle continued to decelerate as I tried to get to a safe spot out of the interstate lanes. After “resetting” the vehicle and waiting approx 20 min, the vehicle turned on as if nothing happened. This has happened 3 separate times in the span of a month.
On [XXX], my 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S (VIN: [XXX] ) suffered a sudden and complete electrical and transmission failure while I was driving my child to school. Without warning, multiple system error messages appeared, the transmission locked, and the vehicle became totally unresponsive. It would not shut off despite several attempts. The wheels were locked solid, and the tow operators had to use sliding skates under the tires to load it onto a flatbed truck. The dealer (Castle Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Naperville, IL) confirmed this condition is a known manufacturer defect under Service Publication [XXX], and explicitly stated that “there is not a fix for this condition at this time.” This event created a serious safety hazard — had it occurred on a highway, it could have caused a catastrophic accident. Jeep and Stellantis have acknowledged the issue but offered no immediate repair or replacement, only referring me...
Writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the vehicle I purchased approximately six months ago. Unfortunately, the vehicle has been in the service department for nearly five of those six months due to persistent and serious mechanical and electronic issues that have yet to be resolved, despite multiple attempts by the dealership and manufacturer. The most alarming issue is that the vehicle frequently stalls and then abruptly lurches forward, simulating the feeling of being rear-ended. This issue presents a significant safety risk not only to myself but to other drivers and pedestrians. I strongly believe this vehicle is unsafe to drive in its current condition. In addition, the onboard camera system activates randomly while driving. While this may not pose an immediate danger, it is yet another sign of the vehicle’s erratic and unreliable behavior. The dealership has sent out multiple engineers to inspect and diagnose the problem, but...
The dealership claims it was a software issue on September 9, 2025, and then it happened again on September 22, 2025. I shut off the car like they told me and I went on my way then it happened again on September 29 this time it was worse. The car literally stopped, and I injured both of my legs with my son in the car. He banged his knees on the passenger side. I notified the dealership Bayside and they picked up the car this morning at 6:50 AM they claim they are changing the part that I charged the car. They’re waiting for another part dealership claims they are taking apart from a new car and putting it in this car this jeep Wagner S is a danger to me and my family. It is not fair to feel unsafe driving this vehicle, this is a safety issue exchanging...
on September 29, the turtle mode on the car went on in the car physically stopped. I banged my knees underneath the dashboard with my son. My grandson was in the back and he got jolted a bit on the seat car seat. This is the third time this turtle mode has come on my vehicle and this is the second time I send a car to the Chrysler dealership. I was informed by the dealership they exchanging apart from another car and they waiting for another piece to install in my car this car is very dangerous towards my family and the turtle mode needs to be addressed. This car is very dangerous on the road to me and other.
Just bought my vehicle and already had to have it towed into the dealer because it would not charge. They did some updates and sent it home. I charged my car fully. Drove it 3 miles and parked. When I came back out to my car 30 minutes later it turned onI put it on reverse but it would not drive and all of the letters on the gear shift were lit up red and a bunch of warnings were flashing on the vehicle to service transmission. The "red lobster" or red wrench was illuminated as well as multiple other things. The car would not turn off as it kept stating it was not in park. Could not turn it off, could not drive it and then it finally went dark after an hour and I could not even get to the batter as the back hatch is connected to...
While traveling on the interstate at approximately 70 mph, I pressed the accelerator pedal to increase speed. Instead of accelerating, the vehicle suddenly jerked, and the wheels locked up as though the brakes engaged on their own. I continued pressing the accelerator, but the vehicle rapidly decelerated without responding to throttle input. The most concerning part was that the brake lights did not illuminate while the vehicle slowed down, which created an extreme safety hazard because drivers behind me had no warning that I was slowing. A large truck traveling directly behind me nearly collided with my vehicle because the sudden deceleration was not signaled by the brake lights. This incident placed both myself and surrounding drivers in immediate danger. The vehicle is currently at the dealership service department for inspection, and I have reported this issue. At this time, the problem has not yet been confirmed or reproduced by...
Right after purchasing the Wagoneer S, a big red sign and a red wrench showed up on the dash, saying electrical issues. It happened every day. The car stopped in the middle of the road and did not want to move until I shut it off and turned it on again. Sitting in the garage the car would not go into gear, just had all the lights flash. Restarted and all worked. Took to dealer, they had it two days and told me they did not have a fix for the electrical issue. Took it home and 2 days later same issues. Called the dealer again and took it back to the dealer. It has been sitting at the dealership for the last 35 days. Called Wagoneer, Stellantis and the new Jeep in Detroit. No help. Parts issues. I looked at a Wagoneer group on the internet, a large number...
I am reporting ongoing, unresolved, and potentially dangerous issues with my [Year] Jeep [Model, Trim], related to the ECU, electrical system, and overall drivability. I just picked up the vehicle yesterday after it spent 31 days in service, during which the dealership pulled over 65 different codes. Despite this, the vehicle was returned to me with no true resolution, and within 24 hours of driving it again, it is now showing 23 additional new codes. The car has stalled while driving, creating an extremely unsafe situation. On several occasions, it refuses to start. At one point, the vehicle was stuck in drive for over 27 hours, making it unusable and unmovable. These issues are recurring and unpredictable, making the vehicle a clear safety hazard. I’ve contacted Jeep Customer Care repeatedly. My assigned case manager refuses to respond, and they will not assign me a new one. I’ve escalated requests to...
The car died/bricked up 2 days ago 7 days after owning the vehicle. They said it was a cell in the 12 volt battery. Just picked it up and drove it for 30 minutes it threw up a turtle error and jerked forward a few times Almost hit a pedestrian and a car in front of me. I parked it and getting it towed. It seems according to other owners these things are all bad.
Service Electrical System - Consistent error when driving the vehicle - not reproducible as it will appear 5 minutes into operation or after a number of cycles. Currently on 2 visits to the service department for this error. After the 2nd visit, they performed actuator calibration. Assumed it was sorted after a number of test drives to re-create. Issue occurred within 5 miles of pick-up from the dealership.
