The most recent occurrence happened on January 20, 2026. This was not the first time this issue occurred. During a prior incident involving the same loss of accelerator response and unpredictable vehicle behavior, my small children were passengers in the vehicle and became visibly distressed and worried. During the most recent incident on January 21, 2026, while driving through an intersection, the vehicle entered a reduced power or “limp mode” condition and would not accelerate when the accelerator pedal was pressed. When the accelerator pedal was released, the vehicle accelerated unexpectedly and rapidly. Warning indicators related to electronic stability control and the high-voltage system were present. Diagnostic information later indicated loss of communication with the high-voltage battery systems. The vehicle behavior was unpredictable and felt unsafe. This occurred after the vehicle had been driven and was not limited to startup. Given that this issue has occurred more than once, including previously when my children were present, I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle.
