I am submitting this complaint regarding a recurring safety defect in my 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN: [XXX] ), serviced at AutoNation Honda Chandler in Chandler, Arizona. Most recent service reference: Invoice #XXX. The vehicle has experienced a repeated knocking noise coming from the right front wheel area, particularly when turning right or left at low speeds with the steering wheel fully turned. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failure of the front wheel drive half shaft (outboard passenger axle) and replaced the component. This same part has now failed three times. Despite multiple repairs and part replacements, the problem continues to return. The front axle/half shaft is a critical drivetrain component, and failure of this part can affect steering control and vehicle stability, especially during turning. Between all service visits, my vehicle has been at the dealership for nearly one month in total. Most recently, my third appointment was...

Very loud noises coming from the front wheels, as if something is broken. I've already taken it to the dealership, but they haven't fixed anything. They just say it's normal. I'm afraid of causing a serious accident because I think it's a problem with the front suspension or steering.

When driving, frequent knocking sounds can be heard coming from the engine when at a stop to turn, and accelerate. The electrical system was faulty with the engine electrical system indicating problems- the heater shut off, so we had no heat during a 90-minute road trip. Tire pressure monitor indicates low tirepressure and seems unresponsive. I brought it in for service. The electrical system was fixed, but the tire pressure remained low, was noit addressed and return to me with all tires at 32psi. Maintenance person commented, " Sir, all I do is return the vehicle to you"... Please advise. Thank you 4900

It's a noise coming from the front of both tires; it's a very, very unpleasant noise that's a little frightening because it's in the suspension area of the tires, and it sounds like something could break. The noise is also very loud and quite annoying. It's uncomfortable to drive with that noise all the time; it's constant when turning left or right. I'm trying to figure out if it's a manufacturing defect or something that can be fixed. I've already taken it to the dealership twice to report this problem, and they tell me it's normal, that the car is supposed to make that noise, but I don't think it's normal. I need an answer to my problem before I can talk to my lawyer because I don't think this is normal. It's a new truck; I don't think this is normal.

The vehicle began popping when turning left near the axel. Once brought up to Honda we were made aware that they know about the issue but my vehicle didn’t fall as necessary to fix…..yet and they are hoping for a recall in order to address my issue. Till then I’m supposed to drive around with a potentially broken axel with my children.

CV Axles making clocking noise when turning left and right. Also, when driving above 60 MPH wheel vibrate and anf whole right side shaking. While dealership claiming it is not a safety concern, I am confident this vehicle should not drive on high way with this issue.

Component/System Failure: The issue involves a clicking noise coming from the front of the vehicle whenever I turn the steering wheel to the left or right. Based on my observations, I suspect that the noise is coming from the axle, particularly one of the CV joints. The clicking noise is noticeable at low and moderate speeds, and it occurs consistently every time I turn the vehicle. Safety Risk: If the issue is indeed related to a malfunctioning CV joint, this could potentially pose a significant safety risk. If the CV joint were to fracture or break while driving, it could result in a loss of control of the vehicle, leading to an accident. While the noise itself is not an immediate hazard, the possibility of a sudden failure of the axle or CV joint is concerning, as it could impair my ability to control the vehicle and could potentially cause...

Self healing tires unable to be repaired by dealer with nail in main tread area. Any other tire would have been able to be patched and inflated. Tire was less than self healing.

Tire pressure monitor sensor will not stay off. Car has been taken back to the dealer several times and they are unable to keep it off. Was told by the dealer service manager that "it's just a light" and that I "should be ok." Called Honda and submit a ticket for them to handle it with the dealership but the both of them are unable to get it resolved.

I have a brand new Honda Prologue Elite that, within 500 miles of leasing it, has a loud knocking noise on both the front left and front right sides whenever I make a hard left or right turn. It sounds like a loud knocking/creaking noise and I usually hear it three times during a turn. It can be heard over a moderate volume radio. The sound has been replicated by a service technician at the dealership, who thought they corrected it (found a loose bolt under the panel under the passenger seat!) but they did not fix the actual problem and it continues. The sound remains and seems to be getting louder. I am increasingly concerned about what happens if the noise continues to get louder and the part(s) eventually fails - and where the car will go if that happens. This has happened on repeat occasions from 30-55 mph...

Car makes clicking/creaking sound when performing a left or right turn from a full stop. Noticed this issue around 4500 miles. Other reports indicate CV joint issue and that the part is out of order.
#11636757 |
Honda Prologue with less than 5000 miles has begun experiencing a clicking sound when accelerating from a stop while turning left or right. Issue is consistent and reproducible. No warning lamps. Dealer confirms this is a bad CV axel that needs to be replaced. Parts are on back order from the manufacturer for at least three months. This is a known issue with 2024 Honda Prologue models. An internet search for “Honda Prologue clicking sound while turning” brings up dozens of results with several hundred people exposing the same issue. r/Hondaprologue on Reddit, The Official Honda Prologue Page on Facebook, [XXX] Internet forum, and several others all report the same issue with the same responses from dealers. It’s been mixed whether or not it’s safe to drive on but typically a bad CV axel requires an immediate repair to ensure safety, as the component could fail at excessive speeds on...

The vehicle makes a knocking sound when turning - left or right. It seems to be an axle problem.

Critical Safety Issue: Vehicle exhibits severe steering stability defects creating immediate safety hazards: 1. Continuous side-to-side oscillation occurs while maintaining straight-line travel, even with steering wheel held firmly in position. Vehicle "snakes" within lane without driver input, making it dangerous during lane changes and blind spot checks. 2. Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) malfunctions due to steering offset: - System overcompensates with excessive left steering correction - Creates dangerous oversteering situation - Had to disable LKAS for safety - Demonstrates underlying steering system defect 3. Additional steering abnormalities: - Strong rightward pull during acceleration - Excessive resistance during left turns at highway speeds - Asymmetrical handling between left/right turns - Issues persist with LKAS disabled Safety Implications: - Cannot maintain steady lane position - Constant steering corrections required - High risk during emergency maneuvers - Loss of critical LKAS safety feature - Particularly dangerous at highway speeds - Driver distraction...
