NHTSA Complaint #11636757 — 2024 HONDA PROLOGUE

Honda Prologue with less than 5000 miles has begun experiencing a clicking sound when accelerating from a stop while turning left or right. Issue is consistent and reproducible. No warning lamps. Dealer confirms this is a bad CV axel that needs to be replaced. Parts are on back order from the manufacturer for at least three months. This is a known issue with 2024 Honda Prologue models. An internet search for “Honda Prologue clicking sound while turning” brings up dozens of results with several hundred people exposing the same issue. r/Hondaprologue on Reddit, The Official Honda Prologue Page on Facebook, [XXX] Internet forum, and several others all report the same issue with the same responses from dealers. It’s been mixed whether or not it’s safe to drive on but typically a bad CV axel requires an immediate repair to ensure safety, as the component could fail at excessive speeds on the freeway.
