My vehicle had been running fine up until the dash lit up, engine check turned on along with the tire pressure sensor and as of right now my car does not accelerate.

Blown head gasket on 1.5T engine. It is a common issue that so many owners of this engine have experienced. It was a safety risk because it happened going at 70mph on the highway, the head gasket blew and it limited the power of the engine. Suddenly, acceleration was no longer possible and the vehicle began limping. I had to drive for several miles at a speed of 35mph (the fastest my car could go no matter how much gas you give it) on the shoulder of the road to take the nearest exit and be somewhere safe. The problem has been confirmed by a certified Honda dealership. It The vehicle has been inspected by the Honda dealership. Symptoms that I have not confirmed to be related to the issue are missing coolant without any leaks. I had to refill the coolant without any visible leaks and there were not...

Head gasket blown out at 55k miles
#11663773 |
Out of thousands of 2019 owners, my head gasket has blown. This isn’t right.
#11661360 |
My 2019 Honda Accord with the 1.5L turbocharged engine is experiencing serious engine issues, including coolant leaking into the engine cylinder, oil contamination, engine misfiring, and overheating. This is a known issue and the subject of a federal class action lawsuit (Bissell v. Honda, Case No. 3:24-cv-02286). Honda has not issued a recall or repair program for this defect, and I am now out of warranty and facing costly repairs. This is a safety concern and I urge the NHTSA to investigate.

All of the safety and warning lights appear on my car upon starting. Collision mitigation Electric Parking Brake Brake System Problem Electric Power System Problem Adaptive Cruise Control Problem Tire Pressure Monitoring problem System morning light comes on in my car and I’m afraid My car may shut down at any time Due to all of the system, seemingly failing. It started doing it randomly and the warnings will go off so I’d ignore it but now it is more consistent and they stay on all the time. I searched online to see if anyone else had experienced this and there are many others are having the same issues.
#11658054 | Crash
While driving my 2019 Honda Accord at approximately 65 mph on the highway, the car suddenly lost power, went into limp mode, and the steering wheel locked up. I was unable to turn or control the vehicle, which resulted in another car crashing into me. I sustained injuries in the accident and required medical attention. The incident was extremely dangerous and could have been fatal. After being towed to Russell & Smith Honda, they confirmed a blown head gasket was the cause of the failure. This issue is already the subject of a class-action lawsuit due to known design flaws in the 1.5T engine. Honda only offered partial assistance, leaving me responsible for thousands in repair costs. This vehicle is unsafe and needs to be investigated immediately.

I had the recall fixed on the vehicle and the emissions light still comes on and throw all the other lights on. It also jerks I had the engine light check and it still saying power loss

1. Headgasket, fuel injectors, and fuel pump failed on this vehicle. Upon inspection Gwinnett Place Honda responded that this was a very common problem and that they see upwards of hundreds of cars per month equipped with the 1.5 liter turbo charged engine. 2. This affected my safety because during the whole ordeal my car went into a “limp mode” while doing 80mph down a busy highway causing me to rapidly lose speed and most cause a major accident. Unable to get off the road way due to my car shutting off I needed to have bystanders block a lane and push the vehicle off. 3.Yes it has been reproduced by both a Honda dealership and an independent service center 4.Honda stated that they wanted to swap the motor so they could send it to the manufacturer to have it studied, however in return I would be getting a motor...

My vehicle makes a humming noise while driving. The humming noise is heard about 3 times in a row then a pause then 3 more hums, while driving but seems to be louder at around 50mph +. My vehicle has 56k miles an it and it has had that sound since I purchased it used with about 30k miles. I have been doing research on it but have not been able to figure out what causes the humming noise nor what the resolution is to fix it. I have heard about the Adaptive Noise control but I hear it even with the windows down and the music off.

I received a letter in the mail stating that my fuel injections had a recall. 2024 Feb-Mar. Letter stated that I would not be able to get it fit until the fall because Honda Parts were backed up. At about May all my dash board lights were on, check engine, TPS, tire pressure. I assumed it was from the recall. At that time I had about 120,000 or 130,000 on my car, I'll have to check my oil change reports. Nov 2024 I was finally about to get my fuel injection fix, per the dealership. Lights were still on afterwards. Now February 2025, I get it check out, I need a new Turbo and an Engine because my gasket has blown. About December of 2024 I noticed I had issues with accelerating. My car jerks causing me some safety issues. This is my only car. I am afraid to drive...

Car failed to start and all warning lights on dash were present. To restart the vehicle, the battery was disconnected and reconnected. As a result, the 2019 Honda Accord was taken to the dealership for repair. Upon inspection by the dealership the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The recall part is still unavailable.

All of a sudden I was driving and every light on the dash lit up the car starting stalling and shut off We replaced the spark plugs and the coils because they told us that was the problem and it's still doing the same thing quite a few people that are having this issue got a recall letter.. I never received a recall for this problem And every time I put my VIN number in it's saying zero recalls something is wrong this is not safe for me and my children

Was driving at a normal speed all light turned on car didn’t want to speed up even pushing the gas
#11631230 |
Vehicle went into limp mode while driving at highway speed Slow down dramatically and after that, it wouldn’t go past 10 mph while driving ended up getting it towed back to my place. The following day had a checked out at a mechanic shop, but they did find was that it had a blown head gasket ended up having to pay more than $7000 to rebuild the engine

for the past 3-4 months it started off with shaking. once i would try to accelerate it it would choke. took it to the dealer ship and they had it for almost 2 months. Supposedly the engiens head gasket tend to blow for those type of cars model and year. i was called yesterday that it was ready after almost 2 months. not 3 hours went by and the issue started to happened again. i have my kids if a accident would of happened my kids would of been injured. if it has happened to many honda accords 2019 1.5 sport why not do a recall on it. it could cause my life my kids or someone else in the road.

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light and several other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the spark plugs were replaced; however, the failure returned soon after the repair. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was informed that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified about the failure and referred the contact back to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

I own a 2019 Honda Accord purchased brand new in 2019. My family and I have been Honda owners forever. My current Honda Accord LX has 96,000 miles and recently my Emissions dashboard illuminated. I took my vehicle to Gillman Honda and to my surprise I have been advised the Turbocharger needs to be replaces and it will cost me $2,900.00. I'm also still on the waitlist for the Fuel Pump Recall Honda has failed to provide parts for the past year which is incurring me extra expenses on buying gas way more than I should. After reading multiple complaints, I'm convinced Honda is fully aware of the Turbocharger issues and have failed to initiate a recall. I'm very frustrated with the lack of transparency and accountability Honda is conducting regarding their manufacturing process. Why is a car at 5 years old experiencing a blow in a turbocharger and why...

My car has difficulty starting and shows up that the battery is dead. When I checked the battery, it was fine. My car has a strange smell coming out of the AC, my oil light is on even if the oil is fine and brand new. Something is wrong with the fuel pump as well.

Misfire in cylinder causes blown head gasket
#11618558 |
I've had head gasket failure twice and now turbo failure. I have documentation from John Eagle Honda to support as well as several others who are willing to do a Class Action Lawsuit in regards to the 10th generation Honda Accord 1.5 T and some of the other trims. I have a list of other owners like myself who have paid out of pocket constantly to get our vehicles fixed. My last straw for reaching out is when it stalled on me while on the interstate for the second time and almost getting in a horrible accident. Something has to be done, because at this point Honda has been called several times and acts if no one is reporting it when indeed they are. I have tons of documentation and proof to support my safety issue. I first paid for the head gasket in 2023, then again in 2024, now...

Engine stall in the middle of the road making me hit an object and it lock up the steering wheel for I couldn't are nun causing the car to being in an accident this cost my insurance $4.5K to fix in damages and the car was under Honda care and Honda care basic warranty because they have on the carfax that it was minor because the amount of damage that cause Honda should be reliable for this accident bc this was a new car the steering wheel was not supposed to lock up while driving are just stall in the highway for I can’t steer

My 2019 Honda Accord showed 10 warning lights. I took it to the dealer and they advised my fuel injectors were running hot and misfiring. Requiring the replacement of one injector totaling almost $2000The vehicle only has 65,000 miles. Though the vehicle seemed drivable, I had no idea if it would just stop running, and it required immediate intervention.

The fuel injectors failed at around 150,000 miles. The entire dash will light up with warnings and the car will loose power. I had it checked with the dealer and all of my maintenance's have been done at the dealer. My advisor said that it was due to the fuel injectors and that I would need to replace all of the injectors and the injector rack. That would cost approximately $1,500, but that I could still drive the car like that because my car is in great condition and I always take care of it. He said drive it, "But just don't punch it (accelerate) to much". My advisor knows that I commute to work, I drive about 150 miles per day and that was the advise that he gave me. At 167,000 miles, as I was driving to work, my car started to pull on me, as if it...

The car won't "turn over" or start because it's there is not enough or no fuel being delivered to the engine. Fuel is not being delivered significantly enough for the engine to start. Towed to the local dealership to have the fule pump replaced. However, when the parts neede to fix/replace the fuel pump are not avaliable for months. When they tried to have the part delivered they we told no because it could not be proven to he the problem. The repair manager told me they didn't have time, interest or the personel to continue the process and I had to tow it from the dealership to an independently local repair shop where it remains indefinitely.

11/18/22 (92,495 mi.) - All warning lights on at home and diagnosed at a Honda dealership, after daily rough idle in the mornings. Dealer diagnosed injectors had failed air/fuel test. They replaced pipe set, fuel joint and fuel injector set (all injectors). Covered under extended warranty. 11/30/22 (92, 506 mi.) - When picking up vehicle at dealership after repair, vehicle started running rough again, all diagnostic lights went on. Coolant was found leaking into cylinders when engine is cold, causing misfire. It was determined misfire caused by leaking head gasket. They replaced: head gasket, crank seal, valve coveer gasket, thermostat housing gasket and spark plugs. Covered under extended warranty. 12/18/23 (112,774 mi.) - Same failure mode appeared: all warning lights turned on, rough idle due to cylinder misfire. Took vehicle to a different Honda dealership. They verified code P0304. Cleared code, came right back. Found engine hot, coolan level empty....

On Dec of 2022 I expereienced my first encounter with the recall and my engine was affected. I was on a busy Highway when the car made some weird noises and then stalled. When I took the car to the mechanic, he stated I needed a new engine. I couldnt understand why however I needed my car and had to get it fixed. Months later, my car again, leaves me on the side of a congested street, because it stalled. This time, im told its the fuel pump. For two months every week, I am at the mechanic because it ends up that my car has two fuel pumps and both went bad. I end up hearing about the fuel pump recall after I spent $8600 on getting my car fixed. I am imploring for full reimbursment. This matter left me on sides of roads many a times and need...

I spoke with Josh (Service Manager) on 02/22/2023 after coming back to the dealership after the scar stalled while driving on Interstate 635. Almost getting in an accident and trying to drive the car back to the dealership, the car began bucking once again and wouldn't go pass 40 miles an hour on an interstate where the speed limit reaches 70 MPH. I called and spoke to Mr. Rey, the service advisor an explained I was coming in. I arrived and told him I wanted to speak with the service manager immediately, he informed me to give him a minute. I stated to Josh that this was unacceptable and for me to be a loyal customer to where since I've been in Texas for over two years, my car has been serviced there and I have a complete record to show that. All maintenance has been completed and things that...

These cars being known for having very bad fuel injectors. So much so that Honda cannot keep up with the demand for replacement parts. These cars are now being known for blowing head gaskets and having their fuel injectors go bad before 80,000 miles. It’s not just a simple fix because when these injectors go out they turn off all of the safety equipment on the car and make it loose all power. This happened to my wife while she was driving on the highway. Thank god she was able to pull over safely but this is an issue that needs to be looked into and addressed before someone gets killed!

My car will be driving down the road and all my lights will come on and go to fix the problem and they all come back on . I’ve had the car for two years and been in the shop majority of the time . First the front senor was bumped out so none of my safety equipment on the car did not work , all my lights where lit up and check engine was blinking and went to take to Honda dealership and they said they tightened the bolts and car is running good and I picked it up and 15 miles later all my lights came on blinking , this has been ongoing and I know online the years 2018-2021 have has similar problems. I have a warranty but I want to get this checked out for others as well

Seat belt: multiple instances where the seat belth latch does not fully engage causing the seat belt to unlatch while I'm driving. Engine/Fuel: Car bogs down specially with hotter weather. Stalled twice in the past month. when attempted to restart the car, it would crank but it would not be able to fully start. I had my mechanic check the battery, fuses, and even use a scan tool with no issues to be found. The car would eventually start 30-45 minutes after it has cooled down. There is suspicion it is the fuel pump and there is a recall out for this same year, make, and model car but apparently, my VIN was not included in the recall so my local dealer is not able to honor it. I am concerned that this will turn into a bigger problem or worse, that it will happen when I driving down the...

On 01-31-2023 at 5pm my Accord (2019, 27k miles) experienced a limp mode condition on the Highway forcing me to pull over onto the shoulder and restart the car. I was traveling for 4+ hours in rain / misting rain on the way to North Carolina for a business trip. I went to pass a slow moving vehicle, and the car’s check engine light began to flash 2 seconds after I hit the accelerator. The car’s check engine light began to flash and the car would not exceed 40mph, indicating it had entered a limp mode condition. This forced me to pull over onto the shoulder. After a restart, the car performed as normal with no CEL. I took the car to Advance Auto parts to see if the ECU captured any codes - 3 “pending” codes were stored - P0300 random misfire, P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire, P0304 Cylinder 4...

As I was driving down the interstate, it had been raining hard, but the speed had increased and we were going around 70-75, speed limit 70. I was in the far left lane when the lane all of a sudden was ending. I had to work my way over fast, so i kicked it to move over to the next lane, and when i did, I lost ALL power in the vehicle. I was terrified !! I did have enough speed to get over one lane but there was a lot of traffic and i had to get over another one to stop on the shoulder. It was close but we did get over and stop without causing an accident. If I had of hit someone or someone hit me, it would have been a multi car accident with all the traffic and probably someone being killed, including my husband...

My car was initially at Performance Honda due to engine failure on June 24, 2022. They called on July 20, 2022 and confirmed that my car engine was repaired and I picked it up on July 20, 2022. Then on July 23, 2022, I incurred the same engine failures as noted by the warning and error lights on my display panel. The car started slowing down while I was on the expressway creating a safety hazard but I was able to drive it to Performance Honda. The manager explained that the car needed a turbo and they had to asked Honda to approve the purchase to install it into my car. I dont know if the turbo is new or used or even under warranty but Performance Honda contacted me on August 8 and said again the engine was repaired. I've read where there are other owners experiencing similar issues....

When I was driving during a storm on June 24, 2022, the numerous warning readings flashed on my dashboard. My car begin to slow down until it completely stalled. I was able to restart the car and drive it off the main road and it stalled again. AAA tolled my car to Performance Honda. I have a 2019 Honda Accord EX purchased July 17, 2019 with 35014 miles. Honda explained that the engine had lost oil and the engine was completely inoperable.

I am filing this complaint because I just took in my 2019 honda accord to the honda service department so they can look at the issue with the sensor lights that are going off in my car. I thought it was a simple malfunction with the sensors but they came back telling me that there is a misfire issue with the engine causing the sensor lights to engage and all going off at the same time. My car only has 37000 miles on it and its less than 3 years old. I've taken the car to a 3rd party mechanic for regular maintenance work and its up to date on oil changes and all other maintenance that is required for the car. The Honda folks submitted for the warranty to cover the repairs of $4800 to replace the head gasket replacement along with the machining of the engine head. I...

Driving on the highway at speed. Started to accelerate to pass. After a very brief moment of acceleration, it stopped accelerating. Engine light started flashing on the dashboard. Due to loss of propulsion, myself and one passenger were almost rear ended. I then engaged emergency flashers. Had to navigate multiple semi trucks on my right to coast to the shoulder. Once stopped on the shoulder of the highway, I turned off power to the vehicle, waited a couple minutes and re-started the vehicle. Vehicle started, engine light was no longer on. Drove away. Took vehicle to a Honda dealership the next morning. They kept the vehicle for a week and could not replicate the issue or find anything wrong upon inspection.

This is a follow up for NHTSA complaint 11452424. After the engine light came on along with other warning lights, like a Christmas tree and taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership with a almost 3700.00 repair bill for a vehicle with with under 88,000 miles. The dealership said the vehicle needed a head gasket. The problem is the dealership did not provide the error code numbers. They just gave a price due too coolant going into cylinder number 3. I asked the service rep for a break down the for repairs, which he said was provided. The only thing provided was coolant leaking into cylinder 3 with no codes that the dealership found with the engine light on. I filed a complaint with Honda to off set the repair cost. Mind you we are talking about a head gasket. Honda denied the claim and referred to lack of maintenance....

Sudden engine power loss; merging to highway speed was not possible. Risk to safety was the loss was when needing to merge with traffic at highway speeds. The dealership could not reproduce the problem. The check engine light did come on, but no codes were generated. The check engine light extinguished before the vehicle could be taken to the dealership. Only possible symptom, prior to the event, and still existing, is a lack of power, compared to when it was new. The dealership cannot confirm the cause of this power loss. There are other indications that there is a controls/computer problem, in my opinion. Power assist is not always available, but then suddenly engages, causing the car to jerk. My conclusion is that the vehicle does not immediately recognize the steering input. The problem is most pronounced when traveling straight, on the highway and needing to make a mild lane...

This vehicle has a safety issue when it comes to snow on the ground and driving on a hill/incline. I was driving my vehicle through snow in the Ohio/WV region and when I tried to drive up a hill with snow on the ground the vehicle stopped. The vehicle would not accelerate and it seemed the engine just shut off. So I put the car in neutral and pushed the gas and I was correct the engine had no RPMs. This caused a huge safety issue to myself and the people driving near me. As I had ZERO control over the vehicle on an incline. The cars coming toward me and the ones behind me had ZERO issues with their vehicles going up this hillside. I tried three times to shut car off and back on so it would give me a few seconds of acceleration, allowing me to get...

My son was driving and car stalled and wouldn’t accelerate . Engine light came on. He shut the car off and restarted. Thank god it happened in a rural road. No issues after restarting. Two days later engine light came on along with a Christmas tree of everything else. Took it to a friend who put it on his snap-on code reader. He said take it too dealership. Find out it’s a fault head gasket. They want 3700 to fix. The car has 87000 miles on it. I have never seen a head gasket go bad on normal everyday cars. I thought Honda was reliable. I thought wrong.
