Several times when driving at speeds of 50-60mph with my foot steady on the accelerator, the car will suddenly start to slow down so that I am going only, say, 40 mph. Either at the same time or shortly after this occurs, multiple warning lights/messages appear on the dash: Collision Mitigation System, Brake System, ACC System all appear and messages say they are not working, which is true, although the brakes seemed to still work fine. Honda issued a recall for the torque converter on my 2017 Honda Accord. I had received the paperwork in June of this year and have been battling with them ever since. I had to have my transmission replaced due to repeated issues with my torque converter code appearing and lose of power over a year ago. After losing power going uphill several times and being fearful of causing a crash, I had to have it repaired. In January 2024, I paid an independent car repair facility(DynoTrans in Temecula, CA) $4,200 to replace my entire transmission because of this recurring issue. Transmission does a lot of “gear searching” especially in bumper to bumper highway traffic, causing excessive braking or accelerating to compensate for the transmission feeling like it’s about to stall.

On Sunday, March 30th, while driving on the highway, the car jerked and a hard vibration was felt before the engine died. The orange engine light flashed two or three times on the instrument panel but that was it. The owners manual states that a flashing orange engine light indicates a misfire. On Friday, [XXX], while leaving a McDonald’s in Charlotte, NC, my car began to slow down and for different lights came on on my dashboard. I was unable to go over 45 miles per hour but was able to get my car to my sisters home that was a few miles away from where I started having car trouble. While driving on the highway with my family on Tuesday, [XXX] the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) failed and created a dangerous and hazardous situation for my family and others on the road. The D3 warning light and check engine light appeared and simultaneously the vehicle shifted to a lower gear. The vehicle was only operable at a lower speed and gear. Power steering intermittently go out while driving. The issue was fixed at the Inver Grove, MN Honda March 2022 by replacing the EPS unit. Appears to be the same issue happening now in Oct. 2024. Being reviewed at the same dealership.

My 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid was having an issue where several warning lights would light up on the dashboard, so I took it in to Auburn Honda, located at 1801 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn, CA 95603, to get the car serviced under warranty. FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN TWO MONTHS, THE EMISSIONS/ELECTRICAL/CHECK ENGINE ON THE 2017 HONDA ACCORD IS AN ISSUE.
