The local dealer was contacted. The dealer completed the air bag recall and diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the brake module and HECU module were corroded. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, but no additional assistance was provided. My vehicle failed to stop which resulted to a car crash
Extended brake travel that caused me to get into a car accident. Also my airbag did not deploy causing me to have a serious headache. I had two people in the vehicle with me. I pushed down on the brake pedal and it felt like it wasn’t stopping or it was stopping very slowly. I was driving straight the person in the white pontiac was trying to turn left. I had the right away no yield or stop sign, but she pulled out in front of me. Driver was a 16 year old girl

RECALL FOR ABS WAS ISSUED BACK ON DEC 18, 2019. LAST UPDATE IS THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A FIX EXPECTED BY END OF FIRST QUARTER OF 2020. IT'S NOW THE END OF FIRST QUARTER OF 2021 (15 MONTHS LATER) AND THERE IS STILL NO INDICATION OF A REPAIR DATE. IN ADDITION THERE IS NOW A SAFETY RECALL REGARDING THE DRIVER AIRBAG AS WELL. I UNDERSTAND IT TAKES TIME TO IMPLEMENT A FIX, BUT IT SEEM AS IF THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT PUTTING ENOUGH PRIORITY ON GETTING THESE REPAIRS DONE IN A TIMELY MATTER. AT THIS RATE, WITH TWO ACTIVE SAFETY RECALLS, EITHER FIXES NEED TO BE EXPEDITED; OR AN ACCEPTABLE BUY-BACK PLAN THAT ENSURES OWNERS ARE COMPENSATED FOR THE FULL VEHICLE VALUE PLUS TIME AND RISK.

MY DAUGHTER REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE AND PUSHED THAT VEHICLE INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE HER BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND FAILED TO STOP HER VEHICLE. SHE REPEATEDLY MASHED THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH NO RESPONSE. THE AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AND DID NOT. SHE WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 45-50 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY AND TRAFFIC STOPPED IN FRONT OF HER. SHE WAS DRIVING CAREFULLY BECAUSE IT WAS IN THE CITY AND HAD BEEN RAINING. SHE WAS NOT FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY OR GOING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS. HER BRAKES FAILED. EVEN THOUGH FORD SAYS THIS VEHICLE IS STILL SAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL THE PARTS COME IN FOR THE RECALL, IT IS NOT. AND THAT "GIVEN THAT THE COMPANY'S RECENTLY GONE OUT OF BUSINESS" I SHOULD EXPECT IT TO BE QUITE A WHILE. WHEN I MENTIONED THAT I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE, I WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL ONLY IMPACTED MY PASSENGER SIDE AND TO NOT SIT THERE.

SHORTLY AFTER THE DEALER'S REPAIR, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED; HOWEVER, THE DEALER INDICATED THAT FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

CAR WAS IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY WHEN IT STARTED ACCELERATING ON ITS ON AND EVENTUALLY STARTED LOSING POWER
I HAD RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN LATE JUNE 2017 . I CONTACTED FORD DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE ,THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT HAVE PARTS OR ANY LOANER CARD .I CALLED FOR SERVICE 2TIMES TELLING THEM THIS WAS MY ONLY CAR AND I WAS SCARED TO DRIVE IT,,!! I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT MY VEHICLE IS SUBJECT TO A RECALL BECAUSE IT HAS A PASSENGER TAKATA AIR BAG. I HAVE REPEATEDLY CHECKED WITH MY DEALER, SHEEHY FORD IN GAITHERSBURG, MD ABOUT THE DATE MY VEHICLE WILL BE RECALLED. THEY HAVE NO INFORMATION AND NO ADVICE FOR ME EXCEPT TO CONSIDER TRADING THE VEHICLE IN. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE TO ME.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL: I HAVE BEEN ENTIRELY UNABLE TO OBTAIN SERVICE FOR THIS RECALL FOR OVER ONE YEAR. EVERY CALL TO THE DEALER IS REBUFFED WITH THE MESSAGE THAT I MUST BE A CRANK OF SOME KIND FOR WANTING THIS RECALL SERVICE TO BE DONE. AIRBAGS ARE IMPORTANT AND THEY SHOULD FIX THEM IN A REASONABLE TIME, NOT MAKE ME WAIT YEARS WITH AN UNSAFE PRODUCT.
AFTER HITTING A PIECE OF ICE THE ABS SYSTEM KICKED IN AND DID WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSE TO DO, HOWEVER SINCE THIS HAPPEN MY BRAKE PEDAL CONTINUES TO GO'S TO THE FLOOR BARELY STOPPING MY VEHICLE, THERE ARE NO LIGHTS ON TO INDICATE ANY PROBLEM, BUT SOMETHING IS WRONG AS BRAKE PEDAL SHOULD NOT BE THAT SOFT AND GO TO THE FLOOR. I LOOKED THIS UP TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES WITH OTHER FORD FUSIONS AND FOUND THAT IT IS A PROBLEM WITH MANY FORD FUSIONS, ISN'T THIS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN, MY BRAKES GO TO THE FLOOR AND THERE IS NO LIGHT TO INDICATE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM WHEN OBVIOUSLY THERE IS OR MY PEDAL WOULDN'T BE GOING TO THE FLOOR.

TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A NOTICE OF THE TAKATA RECALL (PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR) IN FEBRUARY 2018. IT IS ALMOST DECEMBER 2018. IF THIS IS SUCH A SAFETY ISSUE, WHY IS THE RECALL STATUS STILL LISTED AS: "RECALL INCOMPLETE, REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE"?? WHEN WILL A REMEDY BE AVAILABLE??
