1.TAKATA RECALL. 3-5 YEAR WAITING PERIOD AND YET NO REPAIR. ALSO, IF DRIVER AIRBAG IS TAKATA, WHY NO RECALL OR REPLACEMENT? 2. BRAKES WILL DROP ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR IN EMERGENCY BRAKING! WHY NO RECALL OR FIX? THIS IS LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM.
"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED THE NOTICE TO HAVE MY AIRBAGS REPLACED & BOLTON FORD HAS NOT RESPONDED. MY DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE & MY BRAKES NEED ME TO GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THE BRAKES STOP THE CAR. CAR WAS STATIONERY WHEN DRIVER DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN & DRIVING COMING TO A STOP WHEN BRAKES NEED PUSHING TO THE FLOOR TO WORK PROPERLY.
MY DRIVER SEAT HEATER WAS GETTING VERY HOT, AFTER A FEW TIMES OF THIS INTENSE HEAT IT NOW DOESN'T TURN ON AT ALL. I HAVE READ A LOT OF OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE WITH THE DRIVER SEAT. CONSIDERING I ONLY USE IT 4 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR, AND USUALLY ONLY 5 OR 10 MINUTES AT A TIME, THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON THAT IT HAVE BURNT OUT.
3 ISSUES: I SAW SOMEONE ELSE POST THIS- MY BREAK PEDAL IS ALSO SOFT AND GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR AFTER ANTILOCK BREAKS ARE ENGAGED (LIKE ON ICY OR WET ROADS). THERE IS NO OTHER TIME THIS OCCURS- AS IT'S THE BREAKS, I'VE BEEN VERY MINDFUL OF IT. I HAVE ALSO HAD THE BREAKS REPLACES SO I DON'T THINK IT'S ACTUALLY THE BREAKS BUT RATHER SOMEWHERE WITHIN THE BREAKING MECHANICS. SECOND, ONLY WHEN TURNING LEFT, I GET A "CLUNK" SOUND AT ABOUT 1/4 OF THE WAY THRU THE TURN. I THOUGHT THE SOUND WAS COMING FROM REAR LEFT AXLE AREA- BUT I HONESTLY CANNOT ISOLATE ITS ORIGIN. THE THIRD IS MY MOST HATED: THE REAR OF THE DRIVERS SEAT IS BREAKING DOWN- ALMOST AS THOUGH THERE'S A FRAMEWORK OF SOLDERED METAL INSIDE IN THE CORE OF THE SEAT AND THE SOLDERING IS SNAPPING APART. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT MANUAL RECLINING MECHANISM BOLT FRACTURED, CAUSING THE SEAT TO MOVE BACK AND FORTH INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE BOLT THAT HOLD THE RECLINING SEAT MECHANISM WAS FAULTY AND AS A RESULT, THE SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
WE RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2009 FORD FUSION AND SO FARE WE LOVE THE CAR, BUT WE BOTH AGREE THAT THE HEAD REST SHOULD BE A LOT STRAIGHTER LIKE THE PERSON IN THE REPORT ODI CASE NUMBER: 10266857. WE BOTH HAVE BACK AND NECK PROBLEMS AND IF THE HEAD REST WAS A LITTLE STRAIGHTER I THINK IT WOULD SOLVE ALOT OF MY WIFE'S PROBLEM. I WAS A PASSENGER IN A 2009 FORD FUSION SEDAN. I AM A STATE EMPLOYEE AND I WAS TRAVELING WITH A COWORKER, WHO WAS DRIVING. WE WERE LEGALLY STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION WAITING FOR THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF US TO TURN LEFT. WE WERE REAR-ENDED BY A HIT AND RUN DRIVER ESTIMATED BY POLICE ON THE SCENE TO HAVE BEEN TRAVELING AT 50 MPH. THE MAJORITY OF THE IMPACT WAS ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE. WE WERE PUSHED INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF US. UPON IMPACT, I WAS THRUST FORWARD, THEN BACKWARD, AND THE SEAT BACK BROKE. I WAS IN A RECLINING POSITION AFTER THE ACCIDENT. I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED BY TWO NEUROLOGISTS AS HAVING POST CONCUSSION SYNDROME, TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY, AND VESTIBULAR DYSFUNCTION AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE ACCIDENT. AN INVESTIGATOR HIRED BY MY ATTORNEY CONCLUDED UPON INSPECTION OF THE CAR THAT THE SEAT BACK SHOULD...

SHE STATED THAT THEY PROTRUDE FORWARD TOO MUCH AND MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE BECAUSE HER HEAD AND BACK ARE NOT STRAIGHT OR ALIGNED. SHE BELIEVES THAT THE HEAD RESTRAINTS SHOULD BE FLATTER.
