WAS DRIVING ON A HEAVY TRAFFIC HIGHWAY, IN THE MIDDLE LANE, AND TRUCK JUST QUIT RUNNING. THIS IS UNJUSTIFIABLE!! OVER $5000.00 IN REPAIRS TO GET TO GET THIS TRUCK TO RUN! WHY HASN'T FORD ISSUED A RECALL ON THIS NOTORIOUS PROBLEM ON THESE DIESEL ENGINES?! I WILL CONTINUE TO PURSUE A CLASS ACT LAWSUIT OVER THIS, I DO BELIEVE THERE ARE ENOUGH FORD OWNERS VERY UNHAPPY REGARDING THESE CONTINUING ISSUES.
2006 FORD F350 SUPER DUTY. ATTORNEY WRITES ON BEHALF OF CLIENT IN REGARDS TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIRS *TGW THE CONSUMER NOTICED SMOKE BILLOWING OUT OF THE EXHAUST. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, A WARNING LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHERE THEY REPLACED THE TURBO UNDER WARRANTY. TWO MONTHS LATER, THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS PROMPTLY TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE TURBO WAS REPLACED AGAIN. THREE MONTHS LATER THE TURBO WAS REPLACED FOR A THIRD TIME. ON APRIL 20, 2012 THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE AGAIN. HE NOTICED SMOKE AND THE VIBRATION WAS GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE EACH TIME THE TURBO FAILED. WHEN HE WENT BACK TO THE DEALER, HE WAS INFORMED IT WOULD COST $212.00. ON APRIL 23, 2012 THE TRUCK BEGAN BILLOWING A THICK CLOUD OF SMOKE UPON BEING STARTED. THE NEXT DAY, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD F-350 SD DIESEL. THE DEALER REFILLED THE COOLANT BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE CONTACT STATED HE HAD EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE AT LEAST TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD NOT OPERATED THE VEHICLE SINCE THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
MY 2006 FORD F-350 TRUCK KEEPS STALLING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING AND WHEN IT SHUTS OFF IT WILL NOT START. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE IN THE PAST MONTH. THE FIRST TIME THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM AND SAID, "TO COME PICK UP THE VEHICLE AND THAT IT WAS RUNNING". THE 2ND TIME, I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY DID THE COMPUTER CHECK AND SAID, "THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT AND THE TECHNICIAN TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN TO CHECK THE FUEL SWITCH AND RESET IT." THE TRUCK HAS DONE THIS 5 TIMES SINCE BEING RETURNED FROM THE DEALERS WHICH WAS (APRIL 25, 2007) AND EACH TIME MY HUSBAND HAS TO HIT THE FUEL CUT OFF SWITCH. TODAY IS 5/2/07. *TR
