Electrical malfunction with fuses , problems with brake light, engine light and air bag light . Some fuses blown out after brake light fuse popped wipers don't work at all air bog turns on and off every day not sure why
IN MID NOVEMBER 2019, I WAS ENTERING MY VEHICLE AND NOTICED THE REAR CENTER GLASS WINDOW COMPLETELY SHATTERED THE MOMENT I OPEN THE TRUCK DOOR FOR NO REASON. NO INDICATION OF AN OBJECT STRIKING OR ANYTHING. THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY STATIONARY IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE TEMPERATURE HAD DROPPED DOWN PAST 20 DEGREES THE DAY THIS HAPPENED. I REPLACED THE ENTIRE REAR WINDOW AND THEN,NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER, THE REAR RIGHT SIDE OF THE WINDOW IS COMPLETELY SHATTERING AND IS ABOUT TO BREAK....THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN! NOW, I GO OUT TODAY, 12/12/19 TO MY PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WINDOW COMPLETELY SHATTERED FOR NO APPARENT REASON! IN ALL 3 INSTANCES, THE TEMPERATURE DROPPED BELOW 35 DEGREES. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON AND IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY THE WINDOWS ARE RANDOMLY SHATTERING WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPS. NOW I AM ABOUT TO BE OUT I DON'T KNOW...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE SUN ROOF EXPLODED INTO PIECES. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A DEALER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 247,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, A LOUD POP SOUND EMITTED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW OPENED INDEPENDENTLY. IN ADDITION, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDOW KIT FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH IN THE RAIN, WATER POURED INTO THE REAR WINDOW OF THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE WINDOW REGULATOR WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED ON BOTH PASSENGERS' SIDE WINDOWS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000.

DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR WENT OUT. WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD APPX 45 MPH AND THE WINDOW JUST FELL DOWN. STARTLED ME SOME BUT WAS ABLE TO KEEP CONTROL OF VEHICLE. THIS WILL BE SECOND ONE REPLACED SINCE I HAD THE VEHICLE WHICH I PURCHASED BRAND NEW. NOT ONE TO USUALLY COMPLAIN BUT APPEARS TO BE A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM FROM EARLY ON IN IT'S YEARS. THANK YOU! *TR
THE 3RD OUT OF 4 DOOR WINDOWS FELL INTO THE DRIVER'S FRONT DOOR - REGULATOR ASSEMBLY. LOUD BANG BEFORE THEY FELL. SCARED ME - THOUGHT SOMEONE HAD THROWN A LARGE ROCK AT MY VEHICLE. THIS IS THE 3RD TO FAIL WITHIN 8 MONTHS (LAST 2 ON THE SAME DAY IN JULY 2012). REPAIR COST WAS $245.00. THERE IS STILL NO RECALL ON THESE REGULATOR ASSEMBLIES, ALTHOUGH HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS, HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I CONTACTED FORD FOR REIMBURSEMENT, AND RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. *TR
2 DOOR WINDOWS FELL INTO THE FRONT RIGHT, AND DRIVER'S REAR DOOR - REGULATOR ASSEMBLIES. LOUD BANG BEFORE THEY FELL. FELL ON THE SAME DAY WITHIN 1 HOUR APART. THE FIRST, I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 15 MILES PER HOUR, AND THE 2ND I WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. ALMOST $600 TO HAVE BOTH REPAIRED. AFTER MUCH RESEARCHING, THERE IS NO RECALL ON THESE REGULATOR ASSEMBLIES, ALTHOUGH HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS, HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I CONTACTED FORD FOR REIMBURSEMENT, AND RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH WHEN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE WINDOW GLASS RELEASED ABRUPTLY INSIDE OF THE DOOR PANEL WITH A LOUD THUMPING NOISE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 137,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A LOUD RATTLING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER THREE TIMES FOR THE DEFECT AND EACH TIME, THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW GLASS BECAME DETACHED FROM THE FRAME AND THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH BECAME INOPERABLE. ALSO, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CIRCUIT BOARD WAS FAULTY AND WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW COLLAPSED INTO THE DOOR WHILE DRIVING. BRIEFLY HEARD A POP/BANG IN THE DOOR THINKING SOMETHING HIT THE DOOR, THEN THE WINDOW WENT STRAIGHT DOWN WITHOUT CONTROL. NOW I HAVE NO WAY OF RETRIEVING THE WINDOW BACK UP AND SECURING IT. PLUS UNABLE TO SECURE MY VEHICLE OR KEEP THE ELEMENTS OF WEATHER OUT OF MY TRUCK. I WILL NOT USE THE TRUCK TO PICK UP MY YOU CHILDREN IN THIS CONDITION. I PRESUME THAT THIS COULD BE A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS WITH A DISTRACTED DRIVER LOOSING ATTENTION TO DRIVING OR IN A SEVERE WEATHER CONDITION. I WILL TAKE IT TO A FORD SERVICE DEALER AND SHARE MY DISPLEASURE WITH THIS INCIDENT. FOR MY SAFETY AND EVERYONE ELSE SAFETY, I WILL GET THIS REPAIR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE AS THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WINDOW RETRACTED INTO THE DOOR PANEL AND BECAME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE CABLE THAT HELD THE WINDOW UP FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD TAKE A COMPLAINT AND THAT THERE WOULD BE NO WAY TO FOLLOW UP WITH THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,500. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW UNEXPECTEDLY FELL THROUGH THE DOOR. WHEN I PRESSED THE BUTTON TO OPEN THE WINDOW A TAD THE REGULATOR BROKE AND THE WINDOW BEGAN TO FALL. A WEEK LATER THE SECOND BACK PASSENGER WINDOW CAME CRASHING DOWN ALSO. THANKFULLY IT WAS WHILE I WAS AT THE STORE AND THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. I HAD TO FIX THIS OUT OF POCKET LAST WEEK FOR ABOUT 700.00 FOR BOTH WINDOWS, THE REPAIR GUY AT FORD SAID THIS WASN'T COVERED OR ISSUED AS A RECALL. NOW FASTFORWARD TO YESTERDAY, MY SIDE DRIVER WINDOW COMES FALLING DOWN AND I HAD TO USE A DOORSTOP TO HOLD IT UP. I FEEL THIS IS A WIDESPREAD ISSUE THAT FORD HAS NOT COME TO TERMS WITH. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL ISSUED YEARS AGO. CHECKING THE INTERNET THERE A NUMEROUS SITES WHERE ANGRY CUSTOMERS OF FORD ARE EXPERIENCING...
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW SUDDENLY DROPPED INTO THE DOOR AND COULDN'T BE RAISED. IT WAS RAINING AT THE TIME AND QUITE CHILLY WHICH MADE DRIVING HAZARDOUS AS WELL AS UNCOMFORTABLE. SINCE THIS OCCURRED ON SUNDAY DURING THE NEW YEAR'S HOLIDAY ON AN ISOLATED STRETCH OF HIGHWAY NO IMMEDIATE RELIEF WAS AVAILABLE. AFTER DRIVING 40 MILES UNDER THESE CONDITIONS I WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE SOME PLASTIC AND DUCT TAPE TO MAKE A TEMPORARY REPAIR. THE REPAIR MADE OBSCURED MY VISION ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE, AGAIN A HAZARDOUS SITUATION. THE PART THAT NEEDED REPLACED WAS A WINDOW ASSEMBLY REGULATOR. *TR
IN LATE-JUNE 2012 A LOUD CLUNK/THUD/POP/SMALL EXPLOSION OCCURRED IN THE PASSENGER-SIDE DOOR OF MY 2004 FORD F-150 REGULAR CAB TRUCK, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND IDLING, AND THE WINDOW DROPPED INTO THE DOOR FRAME. WHEN I RETURNED HOME I REMOVED THE DOOR PANEL AND DISCOVERED THAT A SMALL PIECE OF MOLDED PLASTIC, 1 1/8" X 1 7/8" (PROBABLE COST TO FORD ABOUT 39 CENTS) ON THE WINDOW REGULATOR HAD DISINTEGRATED/FAILED, ALLOWING THE REGULATOR CABLE TO RELEASE THE WINDOW. I HAVE FOUND A REPLACEMENT WINDOW REGULATOR ON THE INTERNET FOR $70 (FORD CHARGES $175 FOR THE PART) AND WILL REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE ITEM MYSELF. I NOTIFIED FORD OF THE FAILURE OF A LESS-THAN-QUALITY PLASTIC PIECE ON THE REGULATOR AND ASKED FOR REIMBURSEMENT. FORD RESPONDED: "THERE ARE NO FACTORY WARRANTIES OR PROGRAMS IN EFFECT ON YOUR VEHICLE THAT WOULD PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR YOUR CURRENT VEHICLE CONCERN." HOWEVER, THEY DID ADD:...
ON 25 MARCH 2011, I ENCOUNTERED A LOUD POP IN THE DOOR ON THE DRIVER-SIDE OF MY 2004 FORD F-150 REGULAR CAB TRUCK, AND THE WINDOW DISAPPEARED INTO THE DOOR FRAME. I REMOVED THE DOOR PANEL AND DISCOVERED THAT THE CABLE MECHANISM WITHIN THE WINDOW REGULATOR HAD FAILED. WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY I TURNED THE TRUCK INTO MY FORD DEALER TO HAVE THE WINDOW REGULATOR REPAIRED, AND RECEIVED A REPAIR BILL OF $301.86 (THE REGULATOR ALONE COST $159.36); THE FORD ADVISOR STATED THAT THEY HAD THE PART IN STOCK SINCE THE WINDOW REGULATOR FAILURE WAS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. I DID NOT INSPECT THE REGULATOR TO DETERMINE WHY THE CABLE MECHANISM HAD FAILED. AFTER THIS INCIDENT I VISITED WWW.NHTSA.GOV TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT OF THE PROBLEM, AND LEARNED THAT MORE THAN 240 OTHER 2004 FORD TRUCK OWNERS HAD EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM IN ONE DOOR OR THE OTHER IN THEIR TRUCKS....

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE, STATING THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 199,520.

THE REMAINING THREE WINDOWS REGULATORS WERE ALSO PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED BY THE DEALER DUE TO THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE.
