2015 FORD EXPLORER Back Over Prevention Problems

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that the camera was blank at times. While reversing, the image was transposed and flipped. There were no warning lights illuminated. There was a message to contact the dealer. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who informed her there was no recall coverage. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, who referred to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was 69,000.

The rear backup camera continually fails due to what appears to be a faulty electrical connection. It stops working while in the middle of a backup almost causing a collision. sometimes it does not work at all.

When I put my car in reverse and start backing up my backup camera screen flickers and then goes completeley blank. My 2015 Ford Explorer only has 31,000 miles on it.

WHEN THE CAR IS IN REVERSE THE BACK UP CAMERA MALFUNCTIONS. SOMETIMES THE PICTURE IS DISTORTED OR APPEARS BACKWARDS. FOR INSTANCE, THE CURB MAY BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY CAR, BUT APPEARS ON THE LEFT IN THE CAMERA. MORE OFTEN, THE CAMERA DOES NOT WORK AT ALL AND NO WARNING SOUNDS OCCUR FOR OBJECTS THAT MAY BE BEHIND THE CAR. THIS ISSUE IS A SAFETY RECALL IN 2019 AND 2020 MODELS. I'M EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES, BUT MY YEAR HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED THAT I KNOW OF.

BACK UP CAMERA GOING OUT. WORKS FOR A FEW SECONDS AND J.G THE GOES BLACK.

THE BACKUP CAMERA GOES BLACK THEN COMES BACK ON BACKWARDS. ITS VERY UNSAFE WHEN TRYING TO USE IT. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE 2020 MODELS, NOT SURE IF MINE CAN BE REMEDIED, AS WELL.

MY BACK UP CAMERA AND SENSOR WILL NOT WORK ALL THE TIME. SOMETIMES THE PICTURE WILL SHOW UP ON MY SCREEN, SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT WITH THE NOTIFICATION TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP, AND OTHER TIMES NOTHING THE TOUCH SCREEN WITH NOT SHOW ANYTHING AND THE SENSOR WILL NOT BEEP. THERE IS NO REASON FOR THESE ITEMS TO NOT BE WORKING
