WHILE SITTING STATIC ON LEVEL ROAD IN A LINE OF TRAFFIC WITH A TRAIN-CROSSING BARRIER ARM KEEPING TRAFFIC SAFELY WAITING FOR THE TRAIN TO PASS, MY VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD IN AN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WHILE MY FOOT WAS FIRMLY PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. HOWEVER, COVER ON TRANSMISSION DIP STICK SAYS "USE MERCON V." DEALER FLUSHED TRANSMISSION AT 32000 MILES AND REPLACED WITH MERCON V FLUID. TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 51000 MILES, REQUIRING COMPLETE REPLACEMENT OF TRANSMISSION. FAILURE HAPPENED DURING FREEWAY DRIVING, BUT FORTUNATELY TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT AND WE WERE ABLE TO COAST OUT OF TRAFFIC SAFELY.
