OUR CONCERNS WERE DISMISSED BY DEALERSHIP & ANOTHER AUTOMOTIVE SHOP INFORMED ME THAT BOTH FRONT HUBS WERE BAD. CALLED DEALERSHIP AGAIN & SAME DISMISSAL. WE CHANGED BOTH HUBS AT OUR OWN EXPENSE AND PROBLEM FIXED. BUSHING WAS MAKING HORRENDOUS NOISE AND ALSO DISMISSED BY DEALERSHIP. CHANGED THAT ON OUR OWN EXPENSE AND ISSUE SOLVED. ALTERNATOR WAS SUPPOSEDLY CHANGED DUE TO RECALL BY DEALERSHIP & AFTER INSPECTING IT, WE HAVE BOTH AGREED THAT THE ALTERNATOR HASN'T BEEN TOUCHED. I SUBMITTED A PREVIOUS REPORT RELATED TO THIS ISSUE. TODAY MY CAR WAS PARKED ON THE STREET AND TOTALLY STARTED ON ITS OWN. THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE A REMOTE START. I WAS WALKING TOWARDS MY CAR TRYING TO TURN OFF THE PANIC HORN WHICH WAS SOUNDING. I WAS APPROXIMATELY 15 TO 20 FEET AWAY FROM THE CAR WHEN IT STARTED. THE DEALER, SECURITY DODGE OF AMITYVILLE, REPLACED A FUSE BUT WAS TOLD THEY CANNOT FIND A REASON WHY THE FUSE FAILED. TRUCK WORKED FINE ON THE RIDE HOME, PARKED IT AND TURNED IT OFF. TEN MINUTES LATER STARTED THE TRUCK AND ALL THE SAME ITEMS (SEE ABOVE) FAILED.

I STARTED MY DODGE DURANGO WITH REMOTE START TO COOL THE CAR DOWN BEFORE MY FAMILY GOT IN THE VEHICLE. MY WIFE, SISTER-IN-LAW, AND BOYS GOT IN THE VEHICLE AS I WALKED TOWARDS THE DRIVER SIDE. MY WIFE REACHED OVER FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO START THE VEHICLE AND TURN ON ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. ONCE THE START BUTTON WAS PRESSED THE VEHICLE DISENGAGED FROM PARK AND STARTED MOVING IN REVERSE REACHING APPROXIMATELY 20MPH UNTIL MY WIFE JUMPED ON TO THE DRIVER SEAT AND WAS ABLE TO HIT THE BRAKES.
