WHEN I'M DRIVING THE CAR SOMETIMES I WILL PRESS THE GAS BUT IT WILL NOT GO IT ROLLS BACK...OFTEN WHEN THIS HAPPENS I'M IN TRAFFIC. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY SAY NOTHING IS WRONG. THEY EVEN TOLD ME IT WAS DEALING WITH THE HILL ASSIST BUT I EXPLAINED TO THEM WHEN THIS HAPPENS I'M NOT ON A HILL. MY CHILDREN AND I HAVE ALMOST HAD NUMEROUS WRECKS. I RECENTLY RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTER ABOUT THIS ISSUE (R42) BUT THE LETTER STATES THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THIS ISSUE AT THIS TIME AND THIS ISSUE CAN CAUSE WRECKS BUT THEY WILL NOT DO A MANUFACTURE BUY BACK. ALSO MY HEAL/COOL AND GAS GAUGE SHAKES THE GAUGE WILL SOME FLUCTUATE UP AND DOWN, I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY IGNORED ME.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE FAST LANE, MY GAS PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND MY CAR LOST ALL ACCELERATION AND STEERING BECAME HARD TO TURN. WHEN THIS HAPPENED MOST OF MY CAR ENGINE LIGHTS WERE BLINKING AND WHEN I PLACED THE CAR IN PARK THE VEHICLE DIDN'T NOTICE IT WAS IN PARK. THANKFULLY I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF TO THE EMERGENCY SHOULDER. I TOOK THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS A RECALL NOTICE IN AUGUST 26TH WHICH WAS JUST SENT OUT TO DODGE DART OWNERS. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WOULD COST ME 1,500-2,000 TO FIX THE PROBLEM, MONEY WHICH I DO NOT HAVE SO I TRADED IN MY CAR WITH NEGATIVE EQUITY, AND THE DEALERSHIP, I BELIEVE WAS VERY NON-PROFESSIONAL AND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION. ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE AND STALLED WITH THE FRONT QUARTER OF THE VEHICLE IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. VEHICLE WAS QUICKLY PUT INTO PARK AND REVERSED INTO SAFETY.
9/03/15 MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT WITHOUT WARNING WHILE GOING APPROX 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. RPM'S SHOT UP AND THE TRANS WENT OUT INSTANTANEOUSLY. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER, ENGINE AND TRANS LIGHTS CAME ON, CAR WOULD NOT GO IN ANY GEAR. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WAS NOT ABLE TO RESTART IT, MEANWHILE I SAT LIKE A SITTING DUCK WAITING FOR A TOW TRUCK, HOPING THAT THE SPEEDING CARS AND SEMI TRUCKS APPROACHING WOULD NOT CRASH INTO ME. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A DEALER. DEALER SAID THE CAUSE WAS A FLASHED PCM, IT WAS REPROGRAMMED I WAS TOLD IT FIXED THE PROBLEM. ON 9/05/15 1 HOUR AFTER COMING HOME FROM WORK THE CAR WOULD NOT START AGAIN. DEALER WAS CLOSED FOR THE WEEKEND SO I LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE, 2 HOURS LATER THE CAR STARTED BUT WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE, AN HOUR...
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE DODGE DART 12/23/2013 (428 MILES). ON 2/3/2014 STARTED VEHICLE TO HEAD TO WORK, PUT INTO GEAR (DRIVE) PULLED OUT INTO TRAFFIC, STARTED TO GO, THEN TRANSMISSION FLASHING ON DASH, STATING GEAR NOT FOUND. COULD NOT SHIFT THE VEHICLE, WOULDN'T MOVE. HAD TO BE PUSHED OUT OF TRAFFIC. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TOWED NUMEROUS TIMES SAME ONGOING PROBLEMS TO THIS DATE 9/18/2015. LEMON LAW WAS CONTACTED.
THE GEAR SHIFT IS SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, THE TRANSMISSION DELAYS SHIFTING INTO GEAR. WHEN IT DOES SHIFT INTO GEAR THE CAR ACCELERATES WITHOUT PRESSING THE GAS PEDDLE. THIS IS THE DDC TRANSMISSION. THIS IS HAPPENED AT LEAST 3 TIMES
I BOUGHT MY CAR ON MAY 6, 2013 AND I HAVE BEEN TAKING MY CAR TO WHITTEN BROTHERS IN ASHLAND VIRGINIA FOR ALL THE SERVICE AND REPAIR WORK. ON JUNE 13, 2013 I HAD A RECALL DONE AND ALL OF THE REPAIRS STARTED.THE AIR BAG WIRING AND HARNESSES REPLACED IN JUNE 2013. THE TURBO HAS BEEN REPLACE 4 TIMES AS OF AUGUST 27, 2015. THE WASTE GATE ACTUATOR HAS BEEN REPLACE 3 TIMES. 08/12/14 THE VACUUM SENSOR SIGNAL REPLACED POWER BRAKE CHECK VALVE AND SADDER AND REPAIRED 2 WIRES GOING TO THE VACUUM SENSOR. TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE ON 09/11/15. ON 06/26/14 THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WAS REPLACED BUT STILL DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY BECAUSE THE CAR IS ALWAYS HAVING A PROBLEM WHICH WILL STOP IT FROM WORKING. ON 06/26/14 THE CONTROL PANEL WAS REPLACED. ON 02/18/15 PCM RADIO WIRING, RIGHT FRONT DOOR AND SUBWOOFER SPEAKERS REPLACED....
MY DODGE DART LIMITED 2013 TURBO 1.4 CYLINDER HAS SO MANY PROBLEMS WHEN WE BOUGHT IT IN MAY/2013, COUPLE MONTHS AFTER THE SQUEAKING NOISE, AND DRIVER'S SIDE ELECTRIC WINDOWS NOT WORKING, AFTER ONE YEAR THE CAR IS IN THE SHOP FOR 15 DAYS FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK, AND NOW IS AGAIN IN THE SHOP FOR 5 MONTHS AND NO SOLUTION FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THE TECHNICIAN SAID IS WORKING BUT THEY NOT SURE IF IT IS A COMPUTER SOFTWARE OR TRANSMISSION DEFECT. I WANT TO KNOW IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME AND OR PROVIDE ME WITH INFORMATION . I HAD TO TAKE MY VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE IN AUGUST OF 2014 BECAUSE MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF ON ME WHILE AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN I TURNED THE VEHICLE BACK ON, MY TRANSMISSION ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN GETTING INTO MY CAR IN THE MORNING OR AFTER WORK (ANY TIME THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A WHILE), THE CLUTCH PEDAL GOES STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND DOESN'T COME BACK UP. I CANNOT PUT MY CAR INTO GEAR OR EVEN START THE CAR. I HAVE TO PUMP THE CLUTCH PEDAL FOR A FEW MINUTES UNTIL I HAVE A LITTLE PRESSURE TO EVEN START MY CAR. MY CAR STALLED OUT TWICE FROM THIS WHEN ENTERING A PARKING GARAGE AND I ALMOST HIT ANOTHER CAR BECAUSE OF THIS. AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FOR 2-3 MILES THE CLUTCH SEEMS TO COME BACK TO NORMAL PRESSURE AND I CAN SHIFT FINE AT THAT POINT.

WHEN STARTING TO SLIDE ON ICE THE ANTI LOCK BREAKS KICKED IN BUT THE ENGINE STALLED FOR A SECOND AND ALL OF THE ELECTRONIC DASH WENT OUT. NO SPEEDOMETER NO STEREO NOTHING WAS ON IT SEEMED BUT WHEN I LET OFF THE BRAKES AND ALLOWED THE CAR TO SLIDE AGAIN EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON.

THE TURBO CHARGER ON MY 2013 DODGE DART WAS DISCOVERED AS NEEDING TO BE REPLACED AND THE INSTRUMENT GAUGE CONTAINING THE SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER AND OTHERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AFTER THEY INTERMITTENTLY WOULD STOP WORKING. THE TURBO IN THE CAR WAS FIXED BUT THE DEALER (WALSER HOPKINS DODGE) FAILED TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE REGARDING THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER UNTIL 12,000 MILES LATER.

ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING NOTICED A FAILURE IN POWER WHEN STEPPING ON THE GAS FELT NO GO WITH THE TURBO. STOPPED TO HAVE VEHICLE CHECKED AT ADVANCE AUTO DIAGNOSTIC INDICATOR STATED TURBO FAILURE. VEHICLE HAD NOT REACHED 36000 MILES.
AS I WAS APPROACHING A TRAFFIC SIGNAL, MY CAR LOST POWER AND DID A HALF SHUT OFF (LOST POWER ITEMS, BUT DID NOT ACTUALLY LOCK THE STEERING OUT AS IF THE CAR WAS IN PARK). I WAS STILL MOVING AND WAS DOING APPROX. 20-25 MPH WHEN THIS HAPPENED. MY POWER STEERING, BRAKES, ETC WERE ALL LOST AND THERE WAS AN OVERWHELMING SOUND COMING FROM THE STEREO SYSTEM (SOUNDED LIKE A BOMB GOING OFF IN THE CAR.). I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR STOPPED AND PULLED OVER TO A TURN LANE THAT WAS NOT IN USE WITHOUT GETTING HIT. ONCE I GOT THE CAR STOPPED, IT STARTED BACK UP AND I WAS ABLE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS NOT MY FIRST ISSUE WITH THE CAR. WHEN WE ARE DRIVING THE CAR, IT WILL START TO SHUDDER WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND WITHIN A MINUTE THE ABS SYSTEM WILL TURN ON. WHEN THE ABS SYSTEM TURNS ON, YOU CAN ACTUALLY FEEL THE BRAKING TRYING TO STOP THE CAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT ALL DIFFERENT SPEEDS, FROM 20 TO 30 MPH UP TO HIGHWAY SPEEDS AT 70 MPH. YOU CANNOT SHUT OF THE ABS SYSTEM WITH THE SAFETY SWITCH WHEN IT TURNS ITSELF ON. WE HAVE PULLED OVER, TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTED THE CAR. THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS SEEM TO WORK. I ALWAYS LET MY CAR WARM UP, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S COLD. THE WEATHER STARTED TO GET BETTER AND TWICE I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND THE CAR ALMOST STALLED. THE HEADACHES CONTINUED TO WORSEN, SO I FINALLY WENT TO THE DOCTOR, HAD CT SCAN AND WAS FINALLY DIAGNOSED WITH HAVING MIGRAINES. I HAVEN'T HAD A MIGRAINE SINCE AROUND DECEMBER 20-21, 2014. THE CAR WAS DROPPED OFF ON JANUARY 2, 2015 BY MY HUSBAND BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TO HAVE THE RECIRCULATE AIR FIXED. WHILE PULLED OVER IN A PARKING LOT, I HAD THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED. AS I MOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL THE ENGINE QUITE RAPIDLY REVVED TO THE POINT THAT IT BURIED THE TACHOMETER'S NEEDLE. I IMMEDIATELY SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN AND THE CABIN WAS FILLED WITH THE SMELL OF BURNT TRANS-AXLE FLUID. WHEN I RE-STARTED THE ENGINE, IT WAS PERFECT AGAIN. THE VEHICLE DID NOT LUNGE FORWARD, SO THE TRANS-AXLE APPEARED TO IGNORE THAT IT WAS IN DRIVE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE ON 01/22/2013. THE FIRST OF MANY INCIDENTS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING DOWN A MAJOR HIGHWAY. I WAS IN THE FAST LANE CHANGING LANES AND I SUDDENLY HAD FULL POWER LOSS. I WAS UNABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE AND WAS ALMOST HIT BY SEVERAL FASTER MOVING CARS. THE CAR WAS ALSO QUICKLY SLOWING DOWN. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE STARTED AGAIN AND PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY. ON THE INTERSTATE DRIVING 80MPH, WENT TO ACCELERATE AND THE CAR JUST REVVED UP TO 7500RPM, LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. CHECKED THE GEAR SHIFT AND TRIED AGAIN WITH ONLY GETTING THE CAR TO REV. PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES, TURNED IT BACK ON IT ACTED LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WASN'T CATCHING. NOT ONCE DID IT SHOW ANY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANY OTHER WARNINGS. HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT TOOK THEM 2 DAYS TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND THEN IT FINALLY TURNED ON THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN THEN WHEN COMING TO AN INTERSECTION THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED HARD. UPON GOING THROUGH THE INTERSECTION THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THEN BECAME INOPERABLE. THE ISSUE I AM CONTINUING TO HAVE IS DURING ACCELERATION, USUALLY ONTO THE INTERSTATE, I WILL LOSE ABOUT 2/3 OF MY ENGINE POWER DURING ACCELERATION. IF THE CRUISE CONTROL IS ON, NOT ACTIVATED, IT WILL TURN ITSELF OFF AND NOT TURN BACK ON. THE POWER LOSS IS SIGNIFICANT. I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT WHILE MY 2013 DODGE DART WAS IN DRIVE ON AUGUST 14, 2014. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN SO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME WENT. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM INSIDE CAR SHUTS OFF AND TURNS BACK ON REPEATEDLY, EVEN IF I AM ONLY GOING 2 MILES DOWN THE ROAD. OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR 10 MONTHS AND ISSUES WITH ENGINE STALLING/HESITATION HAVE GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE SINCE MY FIRST ENCOUNTER AT THE DEALERSHIP AT 13,300 MILES. I FIRST REPORTED THIS ISSUE WITH ENGINE STALLING/HESITATION AND THEY STATED IT WAS A SPARK PLUG/PLUG WIRE ISSUE, (IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS RATED FOR 100,000 MILES).
