TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM ACTIVATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO JOEY ACCARDI CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (LOCATED AT 909 S FEDERAL HWY, POMPANO BEACH, FL 33062, PHONE NUMBER: 888-498-6232), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED OR DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
HAD TO REPLACE BATTERY A MONTH AGO. WENT TO LEAVE AND CAR WOULD NOT START. HAD TO GET A JUMP FROM KY DAUGHTER TO TAKE TO HAVE BATTERY TESTED. BAD BATTERY! AND NOW FUEL PUMP HAS A SHORT IN IT. DRIVING CAR AND STALLED AND SAID PUT INTO PARK. STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD UNTIL TOW TRUCK CAME.
DOESN'T START. EVERY LIGHT CAME ON. EVERYTHING NEEDED TO BE SERVICED AIR BAGS KEY FOB NOT DETECTED AIR BAGS NEEDED SERVICE PARKING BRAKE NEEDS SERVICE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. BATTERY LIGHT ON. CAN ONLY START WITH A CHARGE ONCE CHARGE REMOVED CAR DOESN'T START. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. I RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT THE CAR WAS ON THE RECALL LIST, BUT I NEVER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM THE CAR COMPANY.
CAR SUDDENLY DIED IN TRAFFIC AND WOULDN'T START BACK. CAR HAS 66K MILES. AFTER GETTING A JUMP WE GOT CAR HOME AND HOOKED BATTERY TO A CHARGER. NEXT TIME I WENT TO DRIVE IT IT DIED AGAIN AND I WAS ABLE TO GET IT STARTED BACK BUT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL BLINKS ON AND OFF AND ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS START GOING ON AND OFF. CURRENTLY UNABLE TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT WILL JUST DIE WHILE DRIVING AND WITH INSTRUMENT PANEL BLINKING IT DOESN'T SHOW ACCURATE SPEED. PLEASE RECALL THIS CAR BEFORE IT KILLS SOMEONE!
CAR KEEP STALLING OUT
AT TIMES WILL NOT START . ENGINE DIES WHILE GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. TRANSMISSION LOSES POWER THEN AFTER RESTING IT WILL GO AGAIN THEN OUT OF NOWHERE IT STALLS AGAIN.
WITHIN 1 MILE, MY CAR SHUT OFF TWICE WHILE COMING TO A STOP. THE SCREEN ON THE DASH SAID TO 'SHIFT TO P TO START'. I DID SO, AND THEN IT SOUNDED AS IF MY CAR DIDN'T WANT TO START BACK UP AND TOOK ME THREE TRIES THE FIRST TIME AND TWO THE SECOND TIME TO GET IT STARTED. NOW LOOKING INTO IT THESE CARS HAVE A HISTORY OF THIS SAME PROBLEM SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THEM BEING MADE, BUT NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT.
CAR SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING ON THE HIGHWAY
TAKATA RECALL. AFTER I REACHED 64,000 MILES MAY VEHICLE TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. IT TOOK AT LEAST 5 TIMES FOR THE MOTOR TO TURN OVER. AS SOON AS POWER WAS RESTORED BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. NOW THE BATTERY LIGHT IS OFF BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. SINCE THEN I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE BATTERY. I'VE HAD MY BATTERY TESTED AND THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM. THERE NOW S A MAJOR ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT IS WRONG. I HAVE TRIED TO DRIVE MY CAR SINCE AND IT CONTINUES TO TURN OFF. THIS IS ONLY NOT A HAZARD TO MYSELF BUT TO OTHERS THAT ARE DRIVING BECAUSE IT ABRUPTLY STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. CHRYSLER I NEED YOU TO INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE.
MY CAR HAVE BEEN GIVEN ME PROBLEMS FOR ABOUT 6MONTHS. ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. CAR KEEP CUTTING OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. CAR A/C STUCK IN DEFROST MODE WHEN TURNED ON AND CAR WILL NOT START UNLESS IT IS JUMPED
A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, I WAS AT STOP LIGHT MY CAR STALLED, I PUT IN PARK IT RESTARTED. I COULDN'T PUT ON MY HAZARDS OR ANYTHING TO WARN THE CAR BEHIND . IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON THIS SATURDAY ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE FAST LANE THE DASHBOARD WAS BLANK, THE RADIO STOPPED PLAYING, SO MERGED IN THE SLOW LANE WITHOUT USING THE BRAKE THEN EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON THE SPEED GAUGE WAS TRYING TO GET MY CURRENT SPEED. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT IT'S SCARY FEELING BECAUSE EVERYTHING ON DASHBOARD IS COMPUTERIZED.

I'VE BEEN INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OVER 6 TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUES. THIS CAR IS SO UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A TRANSMISSION ISSUE. MY CAR CREATES A VERY HARD JERKING WHEN SWITCHING GEARS OR SPEEDING UP. IT ALSO SHAKES WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONING IS ON AND I AM ONLY GETTING ABOUT 15 MI TO THE GALLON WHEN IT SHOULD BE 27. I'VE LEFT MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS SINCE I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE, WORKED WITH THE DEVICE DEPARTMENT, WORKED WITH CHRYSLER AND THE SITUATION AND SAFETY CONCERN IS STILL NOT RECTIFIED. TAKATA RECALL, MY VEHICAL WAS COMPLETELY STILL, OUTSIDE OF MY FAMILY HOME GETTING INTO THE CAR WITH MY 1YO. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY KEY FOB BEFORE SO I DIDNT THINK ANYTHING OF IT. TRIED TO GO AND START MY CAR AND MY SPEEDOMETER READ 'KEY FOB NOT DETECTED' BUT MY CAR CRANK ANY WAY AND LET ME DRIVE 20 MINUTES OUT TO VISIT A FAMILY MEMBER. ONCE WE GOT BACK IN THE CAR TO GO HOME, MY CAR WOULD NOT CRANK, DUE TO A COMPUTER FAILURE TO READY MY KEY FOB, HAD TO GET IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I FOUND THIS OUT AND IS COSTING ME AROUND $500 TO PAY FOR.

THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAITED APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, A CHIME SOUNDED AND THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED DAILY FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BURNS MOTORS (1300 US-83 BUS, MCALLEN, TX 78501) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE IN 6/19/17 AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER A FEW RIDES I FAULT WITH THE DEALER ABOUT MY AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY AIRBAG WIRING HARNESS AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED UNDER BOTH SEATS BUT IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THERE IS NO WAY I WAS PAYING FOR THIS WHEN THE CAR WAS PRACTICALLY NEW ONLY APPROXIMATELY 42502 MILES AND I WAS HAVING ONGOING ISSUES WITH MY AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON. WELL NOW I AM REALLY FEELING LIKE THIS RECALL IS LARGER THAN IT IS PRESENTED. ALSO, THE VEHICLE HAS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WHEN I GET THINGS DONE TO MY VEHICLE. OIL CONSUMPTION AND ELECTRIC WIRING PROBLEMS CAUSING THE AIR CONDITIONER TO GO OUT AND BLOW HOT AIR. THE OIL CONSUMPTION WILL NEED ENTIRE ENGINE REPLACED. OIL CONSUMPTION ALMOST CAUSED WRECK BECAUSE CAR WILL THROW CAR IN PARK AT UNEXPLAINED TIMES BECAUSE OIL IS LOW EVEN WHEN OIL WAS CHANGED. VERY VERY DANGEROUS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE TO DETERMINE THE TECHNICAL GUIDELINES TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
TAMARA RECALL I WAS HIT IN THE FRONT AND SIDE DRIVERS AND NOT ONE OF MY AIR BAGS WENT OFF FROM THE IMPACT. I WAS FORCED BY THE OTHER CAR INTO A CURB. LIGHTS WOULD FLICKER CONSTANTLY EVEN AFTER BATTERY WAS CHANGED TWICE. FROM THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT I HAVE HAD MAJOR INJURIES SUSTAINED.
WHILE DRIVING THE HOLE SYSTEM WILL SHUT DOWN AT RANDOM TIMES. ALL THE SCREENS ALL THINGS THAT LIGHT UP. NOT EVERY TIME, BUT SOMETIMES. THEN WHEN YOU GO TO SWITCH GEARS TO BACK UP THE BACK UP CAMERA DOESN'T ALWAYS SWITCH TO BACK UP. IT WILL STAY ON THE SAME SCREEN OR GO BLACK. THIS PART ACTUALLY HAPPENS A FEW TIMES A WEEK.

ALSO THE AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. IF I HIT THE SMALLEST POTHOLE THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND IT GIVES ME A MESSAGE STATING SERVICE AIRBAGS. ALSO THE DRIVERSIDE SEAT CAME UNTRACKED AND CANNOT MOVE IT FORWARD OR BACKWARDS WITHOUT IT MAKING A WEIRD NOISE.

MY CAR WAS DRIVING JUST FINE UNTIL I WENT TO REVERSE OUT OF THE PARKING SPOT I WAS PARKED IN. I PUSHED THE BRAKE DOWN TO RELEASE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY BRAKE GOT HARDER TO PUSH DOWN. IT DISPLAYS ON MY SCREEN THE 'BRAKE' IS ON BUT IT'S NOT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS MY BRAKE BOOSTER. IT'S NO WAY AFTER TWO YEARS OF HAVING THIS CAR THAT ANYTHING THIS SERIOUS WITH MY BRAKES SHOULD'VE HAPPENED AT ALL.
THE VEHICLE STALLS WHILE IN MOTION, IT HAS STALLED 5 TIMES WITHIN 10 MINUTES AND I NO LONGER CAN SAFELY DRIVE IT. ALL OCCASIONS WERE ON A CITY STREET WHILE BRAKING. THE CAR SHOWS ON THE DASHBOARD THAT IT IS SHIFTING GEARS EVEN WHILE REMAINING AT ONE SPEED AND THEN THE SYSTEM SHUTS DOWN. IT OCCASIONALLY SHIFTS HARD AND/OR MAKES AN ODD NOISE IN THE ENGINE.
THE CAR FIRST STARTED OFF WITH THE SCREEN TURNING ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING..WE DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT HOWEVER A FEW MONTH AGO THE CAR BEGAN TO TURN OFF IN THE MIDST OF DRIVING. BEFORE TURING OFF THE CAR WOULD BEGIN TO YANK AS IF RESISTING. WE PROCEEDED WITH PURCHASING A NEW BATTERY. THAT WAS 4 MONTH AGO. WE ARE NOW HERE 12/2018 AND THE CAR HAS ONCE AGAIN STARTED TO YANK WHILE DRIVING, TURN OFF WHEN GOING 10-40 MPH AND NOW HAS THE CHECK ENGINE, TRACTION AND VOLTAGE LIGHT FLASHING. ONCE IT IS TURNED OFF AND TURNED BACK ON AFTER A FEW MINS. IT'S AS IF NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. ALL THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN CITY STREET AND TURNING.
SERVICE AIR BAG SYSTEM AND SERVICE PARKING BRAKE NOTIFICATIONS APPEARED AS WELL AS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT, THE SCREEN WENT IN AND OUT WHILE THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER AND WOULDN'T MOVE. THE TRANSMISSION JUST REVED THIS CAR HAS MAJOR ISSUES ALL OF THIS HAPPED WHILE DRIVING.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT AROUND 30 MPH THE SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM AND SERVICE PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM NOTIFICATIONS CAME ON ALONG WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL DISABLING. AS THAT HAPPENED MY TOUCHSCREEN IN THE VEHICLE WENT IN AND OUT AND THE CAR BECAME HESITANT TO ACCELERATE. I PULLED OVER AND TRIED TO SET THE PARKING BRAKE AND THEN RELEASE IT AFTERWARDS THE CAR REALLY BECAME HARD TO MOVE. TRANSMISSION JUST REVED AND THE CAR EVENTUALLY STARTED ACCELERATING.
DRIVING FROM SCHOOL CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSTATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SEVERAL DEALERS, INCLUDING PETERSON TOYOTA (910-375-4996, LOCATED AT 4381 FAYETTEVILLE RD, LUMBERTON, NC 28358), BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO HENDRICK CHRYSLER JEEP FIAT (910-676-7672, LOCATED AT 543 N MCPHERSON CHURCH RD, FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28303) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN RESET THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND THE WARNING INDICATORS WENT OFF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AGAIN TWO DAYS LATER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND THE "PUSH BRAKE AND PRESS START BUTTON" INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HEARD A CLICKING NOISE WHEN THE INSTRUCTION WAS FOLLOWED AND THE VEHICLE STILL WOULD NOT START. THE CONTACT CALLED JIM BROWNE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM TAMPA BAY AT 813-452-5499 (LOCATED AT 10909 N FLORIDA AVE, TAMPA, FL 33612) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT ASKED THE MANUFACTURER IF THE REPAIR COST WOULD BE REIMBURSED IF THE FAILURE WERE TO BE RECALLED IN THE FUTURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE FOR REIMBURSEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PREPARED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,734.
MY CAR WONT START AND THE BRAKES ARE HARD

WHILE IN MOTION MY CAR HAS STOPPED RUNNING ON 5 DIFFERENT TIMES, 3 OUT OF THE 5 TIMES I WAS IN CRUSIE CONTROL DRIVING ON THE HWY WHEN I LOST ALL CONTROL. THE OTHER 2 TIMES WAS IN TOWN AT A LOW SPEED. TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN SHIFTING HARD AND DRIVING HARD, QUITE A BIT HAD IT SERVICED 3TIMES, TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REPLACED THERE WAS A HOLE IN IT THAT CAME FROM INTERNAL. AIR BAG WIRING HARNAS HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL, HEAD LIGHT HARNEST HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO WIRES WERE SHORTING OUT MY BATTERY, IGINTION HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL DUE TO THE WIRING AND PROGRAM.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 34043687. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 480.

2016 CHRYSLER 200. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE STARTING HARD AND ROUGH, ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND FRONT PASSENGER DOOR SHUTTING HARD. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAD MULTIPLE FAILURES INCLUDING THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGING ON IT'S OWN, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL STICKING, WIRING SYSTEMS, THE AIR CONDITIONER AND TRANSMISSION RUPTURED. THE POWERTRAIN, CONTROL MODULE, COMPRESSOR, ETC CONDENSER WAS LOCKED. THE VEHICLE STARTS HARD. THERE WAS A KNOCKING NOISE ON START UP. THE TIRE CAME OFF THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING. WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LURCH FORWARD. THE LOWER BALL JOINT FAILED. THERE WAS BODY A RIM DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. THE REPAIR SHOP FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE PROPERLY. *JS
ON JANUARY 13TH 2018 AT 5AM IN THE MORNING THE CAR WENT INTO A STATE OF EMERGENCY TO WHERE I COULDNT EVEN BREAK AND LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT THEN CAME ON AND THE CAR WOULDNT CUT OFF FOR HOURS. TOOK THE CAR TO RUSS DARROW CHRYSLER FOR SUSPENSIONS ISSUES AND ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS BECAUSE THEY COULDNT LOCATE ANY CODES FOR WHAT I HAD SAW ON THE CAR. ALTHOUGH MY CAR WAS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST I HAD THE SAME ISSUES THAT OTHER CARS THIS TYPE DID HAVE AND IT COSTED ME $2989 FOR REPAIRS
CAR KEEPS SHUTTING OFF RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. CAR IS AT 36738 MILES. I WAS MID TURN AND CAR JUST CUT OFF AND SYSTEM SHUT DOWN. COULD HAVE BEEN HIT BY OTHER VEHICLES BUT THEY HAD ENOUGH TIME TO GO AROUND CAR STALLED IN MIDDLE OF ROAD. PUT CAR IN PARK AND TRIED TO RESTART 3 TIMES BEFORE IT CAME BACK ON.
THE ENGINE IN OUR CHRYSLER 200 LOSES OIL AT AN ALARMING RATE. THE CAR EVENTUALLY STALLS AND WILL NOT RESTART. WE ARE TOLD EVERY TIME 'NO OIL SHOWS ON THE DIPSTICK. IT IS AGAIN IN THE SHOP HAVING BEEN TOWED THERE BECAUSE IT LOST SO MUCH OIL IT WOULD NOT START. THE DEALER IS DEFIANT BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT HAS REFUSED TO ACT AND RECALL THE 2016 FOR THE SAME REASONS THAT PROMPTED A RECALL OF THE 2015 CHRYSLER 200. IS IT GOING TO TAKE CONSUMER FATALITIES BEFORE THE NHSTA ACTS. TECALL THESE CARS NOW !
MY CAR CONTINUES TO STALL WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS, LOCKING EVERYTHING UP. I HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK. PRESS THE STOP ENGINE BUTTON, PLACE MY FOOT IN THE BRAKE, PRESS THE START BUTTON,THE ENGINE WHINES, TRIES TO START, WINDS AGAIN THEN CHUGS A FEW TIMES. AFTER DOING THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, THE CAR WILL EVENTUALLY START. JUST TO DO IT AGAIN. WHEN I BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE DEALER, THEY TOLD MY CAR WAS "ALMOST OUT OF OIL" AFTER WHICH THEY HAD DONE THE LAST OIL CHANGE CLAIMING TO HAVE USED SYNTHETIC OIL. IF THAT WAS THE CASE, HOW DOES A 2016 CAR BURN 4-5 QUARTS OF SYNTHETIC OIL AND THEM NOT BE ABLE TO TELL ME WHY. I SEE THE RECALL FOR 2015 200'S MATCHING EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY 2016.
