The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel failed to function as intended. The contact stated while making a turn, the vehicle lost motive power and independently restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times due to the failure. The contact stated that on several occasions, the technician identified the failure while test driving the vehicle; however, the cause of the failure was not documented. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.

My car stalled on a four lane highway due to the alternator dying. I was able to pull over but was almost rear ended. I only had 40,000 miles on car at the time. I replaced the alternator with a factory direct from Chevy on 3/16/2022. On May 5, 2024, my car again stalled out due to alternator. At that time I was on another busy highway but had enough time to pull over. I had to have someone pick up my children and follow me home. I was terrified it would stall again and I would cause an accident.

On September 29, I took my 2019 Traverse to the dealer for its annual state inspection for Virginia at Radley Chevrolet in Fredericksburg. The dealer failed the car due to needing a rear toe link replacement. The dealer told me that this is common in the 2019 Traverse and are replacing quite a few of them. The cost for the repair is going to be about $600. It only has 41,500 miles and has been a very dependable vehicle. What concerns me is that reading other online forums, many owners are lamenting the same thing being told that this is common amongst the Traverse, yet there are no recalls on it. There are a few other GM models that have a recall for the rear suspension, but I don't understand why the Traverse isn't one of them. I am asking for a review of this to see how many toe...

On 10-31-2022 my Chevy app sent email that my vehicle was experiencing starter engine issues and that my vehicle could not start. Except my vehicle was starting and being driven at the time. Shortly after that my vehicle gave notification by dashboard that my steering assist was reduced and to drive carefully but I am not aware of having that feature or how it was reduced in the first place. On 11-1-2022 my vehicle was being reversed into parking and the camera view displayed the scene as if my course was clear but I was not and the vehicle collided with a pole. I’m not sure how this is even possible but I no longer feel this vehicle is safe for me and my family.

This morning, the steering system went out on me, all of the sudden while driving down the road the steering stop working and was unable to control vehicle. Lights came on on the dash. Telling me that to be careful, going into safe mode problem with steering column. This was a very horrifying moment, as the truck was doing all over the place and was unable to take steering control. I was blessed to be alone on the street and manage to side park on the curve. I cannot image if this would happen in the freeway in high speed. Now I am afraid, this safety issue must be addressed by the chevy company/dealer as it is a safety issue and a high risk where lives can be lost!!!!

Transmission shifting erratic. Rpm is high and shifting is delayed. Delay in acceleration when car is in movement. Parking gear sensor is not working. Shows on dash to put car in park. When car is already in park.

The Sway bar/Control Arm broke up near the engine without cause. It appears metal fatigue or manufacture defect caused same. It's failure led to CV Joint and other damage. This was discovered during a changing of tires. I don't know how long it had been broken as no obvious signs were readily apparent and my wife said it drove normal. There was no accident or other impact that would have caused same.

Stopped at a red light in left lane of a two way highway. When light turned green car stalled out. Steering locked and brakes locked. Got truck to side of road. Lights and radio still worked. Truck would not turn over or start. Dashboard was fully lit. Had towed to dealer. According to dealer it was starter and flywheel

On Thursday 9/9/21, I found my car's alarm going off while parked in a parking lot. I was able to silence the alarm and enter the vehicle and turn it on. As I was driving toward the exit of the parking lot the windshield wipers went on, on their own and I was unable to turn them off. Then I lost control of my steering, several warnings and alerts went off on the dashboard and the car powered off in the middle of the road without any warning. Shortly after was able to turn the car on again and reverse and get it into a spot in the parking lot where again I lost steering, several alerts came on the dashboard and the car powered down again. I had my two young children in the car and we could have been hit, if this occurred on a highway this could...

WAS DRIVING ON MY WAY TO WORK AND WHEN I TURNED INTO THE PARKING LOT OF THE SCHOOL I HEARD A LOUD POP AND IT SOUNDED LIKE I HAD RAN OVER A STICK, HOWEVER, WHEN I GOT OUT AND LOOKED THERE WAS NOTHING UNDER MY CAR OR IN THE PARKING LOT AROUND MY CAR EVEN. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER AND THEY FOUND THAT THE SWAY BAR HAD BROKEN IN HALF. THIS IS GOING TO BE A $2,000+ REPAIR FOR A SOLID PIECE OF METAL THAT SHOULDN'T SNAP INTO LIKE A TWIG. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND COULD HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING ANYWHERE ELSE EXCEPT FOR THE SCHOOL WHERE I WAS GOING SLOW.

WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, THERE IS A LOW WHINING SOUND. THE DEALER SAYS THIS IS "NORMAL". THE STEERING COLUMN SHOULD NOT MAKE ANY NOISE. NOISES COMING FROM A STEERING COLUMN USUALLY INDICATE TROUBLE.
