This problem has occurred many times and I have taken to the internet to find out what I could to try to remedy it myself as I don't have endless disposable income to have someone else fix it. I have not had it seen by a professional, only consulted with a manager of a gm dealership repairs department over the phone as well as various mechanics and locksmiths. As I said I don't have endless disposable money to throw at this. The car will completely shut off in the middle of driving, I lose all power. The antitheft system engages in the middle of driving. Then I get no crank no start. I get stuck in the middle of the road. In the past I was able to just turn the key off and remove it and let it sit for a while and then it would let me start...

WIRING ISSUES REPLACED EVERYTHING NEW IT THE CHARGING DEPARTMENT 2 TIMES AND THE PROBLEMS KEPT ARISING THUS THE COMPUTER THE PCM FIRED SO IDK WHAT WENT WRONG BUT IT'S SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER CHEVROLET CAR
TRACTION CONTROL ON AND OFF. FEELS HARD AND FORCED STEERING WHEEL ASSISTANCE TURNS OFF, WHEEL TOO HARD USING TOO MUCH GAS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
WELL AFTER A DAY OF NO ISSUES I WAS DRIVING WENT TO PARK AND I PUT MY CAR INTO PARK THE CAR DIED AND REVERSED A LITTLE BIT. IT NOW WON'T TURN OVER AND WON'T MAKE ANY NOISE UNDER THE HOOD. I TRIED JUMPING IT BUT THAT DIDN'T WORK AND I TRIED TO SEE IF MAYBE THE ANTI LOCK SYSTEM SHUT IT OFF BUT IT'S NOT THAT EITHER. WHEN I TURN THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION IT SAYS IT'S STILL IN REVERSE AND WHEN I MOVE THE SHIFTER IT DOESN'T REGISTER ON THE DASHBOARD. SO MY CAR STILL THINKS I'M IN REVERSE.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.

I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON THE FREEWAY AND I ACCELERATED TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC I SLIGHTLY TURNED THE WHEEL TO THE LEFT AND IT WENT TO THE RIGHT AND THE FASTER I TRIED TO GO IT WAS GOING ALL OVER THE ROAD FROM LEFT TO RIGHT.I DIDNT HAVE MUCH CONTROL SO I DECIDED TO GET OFF THE FREEWAY AND GO BACK HOME.

I HAD TO BUY A TRANSMISSION FOR MY MALIBU AND NOW I AM RECEIVING RECALLS (MULTIPLE) # 14152 & #13036 FOR THE SAME CAR. HOWEVER, ON THE FREEWAY COMING HOME FROM TEMECULA, CA, SOUTH BOUND ON THE 15 HIGHWAY, MY TRANSMISSION WAS NOT ENGAGING. NO LOUD SOUNDS, OR EXCESS ACCELERATION, NOR TOO MUCH WEIGHT (DRIVER AND PASSENGER ONLY CARGO.) THE ENGINE WAS ON AND AS I ACCELERATED THE ENGINE WAS GOING BUT NOTHING WAS PROPELLING US FORWARD. ON 11/21, I TOOK MY 2005 MALIBU TO THE GM DEALERSHIP FOR A RECALL ON THE "STEERING" TO REPLACE THE TORQUE SENSOR ASSEMBLY. NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000. WHEN I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AND DRIVING FOR AWHILE, I NOTICED MY CAR WOULD PARTIALLY STALL AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHEN I GOT HOME AND THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT BACK THE NEXT DAY, BUT I HAD TO WORK. TODAY, 11/26 I TOOK MY CAR TO THE GM DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE CAR CONTINUES TO PARTIALLY STALL AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS. I RECEIVED A LETTER IN JULY FROM GM ADVISING ME OF A RECALL OF MY TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE. IN SHORT, IT COULD FRACTURE AT ANY MOMENT, CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. IT ALSO HAS BEGUN SHIFTING TO DIFFERENT GEARS WITHOUT PRESSURE BEING APPLIED TO THE GEAR SHIFT BUTTON. IN OTHER WORDS, IT CAN SHIFT INTO A DIFFERENT GEAR ON ITS OWN. WE HAVE RECEIVED 3 SEPARATE RECALL NOTICES FROM GM. (1 FOR ELECTRIC STEERING, 1 FOR BRAKE APPLY SENSOR AND 1 FOR A SHIFT CABLE FRACTURE). HOWEVER, GM WILL NOT FIX ANY OF THE PROBLEMS. THEY TELL US TO CALL THE DEALER. THE DEALER THEN TELLS US THAT GM WILL NOT SUPPLY THE PARTS. UPON CALLING GM A THIRD TIME, THEY WILL NOT REVEAL WHO IS MAKING THESE PARTS, WHERE THEY ARE COMING FROM, OR HAVE ANY IDEA WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE. THEY AGAIN INSTRUCT US TO CALL THE DEALER. I RECEIVED 2 NOTICES ABOUT 2 RECALLS ON MY CAR THAT COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING OR CONTROL.
