TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF, THE IGNITION KEY FAILED TO TURN IN ORDER TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT ON OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START DUE TO THE IGNITION SWITCH MALFUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY BECAME LODGED IN THE IGNITION SWITCH. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO LOCK THE VEHICLE AND HAD TO LEAVE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,500.
