ON 11/21, I TOOK MY 2005 MALIBU TO THE GM DEALERSHIP FOR A RECALL ON THE "STEERING" TO REPLACE THE TORQUE SENSOR ASSEMBLY. NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000. WHEN I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AND DRIVING FOR AWHILE, I NOTICED MY CAR WOULD PARTIALLY STALL AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHEN I GOT HOME AND THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT BACK THE NEXT DAY, BUT I HAD TO WORK. TODAY, 11/26 I TOOK MY CAR TO THE GM DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE CAR CONTINUES TO PARTIALLY STALL AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS. WE HAVE RECEIVED 3 SEPARATE RECALL NOTICES FROM GM. (1 FOR ELECTRIC STEERING, 1 FOR BRAKE APPLY SENSOR AND 1 FOR A SHIFT CABLE FRACTURE). HOWEVER, GM WILL NOT FIX ANY OF THE PROBLEMS. THEY TELL US TO CALL THE DEALER. THE DEALER THEN TELLS US THAT GM WILL NOT SUPPLY THE PARTS. UPON CALLING GM A THIRD TIME, THEY WILL NOT REVEAL WHO IS MAKING THESE PARTS, WHERE THEY ARE COMING FROM, OR HAVE ANY IDEA WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE. THEY AGAIN INSTRUCT US TO CALL THE DEALER. I PLAYED WITH THE IGNITION OFF AND ON FOR HALF AN HOUR, AND A CONNECTION WAS MADE, AND THE CAR STARTED. I WAS CAREFUL TO KEEP IT RUNNING, AND MADE IT HOME. THE NEXT DAY, THE SAME PROBLEM. I FEEL THAT THE INCIDENTS ARE CONNECTED. I THINK THE LOSS OF ELECTRICAL FEED TO THE FUEL PUMP HARMED THE PUMP, AND CAUSED IT TO FAIL.
