BEEN HAVING BATTERY CORROSION PROBLEMS. ALL AT ONCE ABS AND TRACTION LIGHTS CAME ON, STEERING GOT HARD. I WAS DRIVING WHEN ALL THIS OCCURRED.
THE CAR SHUDDERED ON INITIAL START-UP, TURNED IT OFF WAITED FOR A MINUTE. RESTARTED RAN NORMALLY. THE NEXT DAY ON START-UP DIC ALERTED TO ABS, POWERSTEERING, AND STABILITACK IN NEED OF SERVICE, NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IN STEERING CONTROL, WHEEL SLIPPAGE ON QUICK EXHILARATION, I TRIED TO BRAKE MORE CAUTIOUSLY SO AS NOT TO TEST MY BRAKING ABILITY. DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. SHOULD BE RECALLED. HAD THE SAME PROBLEM A YEAR AGO SPENDING $495. TO HAVE THE OPPOSITE WHEEL HUB AND BRG ASSEMBLY. HOPE THIS ISN'T AN ANNUAL EVENT. LOVE MY CAR BUT HATE EXPENSES THAT SHOULD NOT OCCUR WITH A CAR; ESPECIALLY UNDER 100,000 MILES. WHY DID THIS HAPPEN? THERE IS NOTHING TO BLAME IT ON SUCH AS HITTING A POTHOLE. WE GOT THE BRAKES CHANGED AND THE NEXT DAY THE CAR STARTED SAYING STABILITY CONTROL BAD AND CHECK SUSPENSION ANYTIME YOU TURN THE CAR TO THE LEFT IT HESITATES AND COME UP SAYS TRACTION CONTROL WHILE DRIVING IT ONLY DOES IT WHEN YOU TURN LEFT THE ABS LIGHT POPS UP THE CHECK STABILITY CONTROL TRACTION CONTROL AND SUSPENSION ALL COME ON
THE PARK BRAKE ASSIST LIGHT,SERVICE BRAKES AND SERVICE POWER STEERING ASSIST LIGHTS CAME ON WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN. THE STABILTRAK AND ABS LIGHTS WERE ON PRIOR TO THIS. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HARD TO STEER. WAS ABLE TO GET HOME AND PARK.
I PULLED INTO MY GARAGE AND CUT OF MY CAR. AFTER OPENING THE DOOR MY SEAT WOULDN'T MOVE FORWARD LIKE IT ALWAYS DOES. THAT'S WHEN MY DASH BOARD GAVE ME AN ERROR MESSAGE STATING THAT I NEED TO ROLL MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW DOWN. SO, I DID THAT BUT THE NEXT DAY MY NAVIGATION SYSTEM WAS OFF ALONG WITH MY RADIO AND ON-STAR SYSTEM. SO I DROVE TO THE GAS STATION BEFORE HEADING TO WORK, AND WHEN I TRIED TO GET IN MY CAR THE POWER WAS OFF. I WENT UNDER-HOOD TO SEE IF THE BATTERY WAS LOOSE BUT IT WASN'T. SO I SHUT THE HOOD GOT BACK IN THE CAR AND EVERYTHING INCLUDING MY RADIO, GPS, AND ON-STAR CAME BACK ON. I HEADED OUT TO WORK AND THAT IS WHEN MY CAR SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 70 MPH AND THE ERROR MESSAGE SAID...
I HAVE A MESSAGE SAYING SERVICE SIDE DETECTION. IT HAS BEEN ON FOR MONTHS AND DIDN'T SEEM TO BE A BIG DEAL. IT NOW HAS CAUSED A BUNCH OF OTHER MESSAGES TO COME UP TO SERVICE. EVERYTHING ON MY DASHBOARD STOP WORKING (SPEEDOMETER, GAS GAUGE, ETC.) MY HEAT IS EFFECTED AND AT ONE POINT, MY CAR WOULDN'T START FOR SEVERAL DAYS.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT AND AND MY POWER STEERING AND STABILITRAK ABS INDICATORS CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN/HANDLE WITH OUT WARNING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, THE ABS AND STABILITY TRACK WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. AS THE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED, THE POWER STEERING CEASED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT LINKED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V450000 (STEERING) WITH THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,496.
WHENEVER I AM TRAVELING AT SPEEDS <15MPH AND TURNING LEFT FROM A STOP THE CAR HESITATES AND THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE. THIS ONLY OCCURS WHEN TRAVELING AT LOW SPEEDS. THE NOISE IS COMING FROM THE FRONT LEFT SIDE. MY ABS & SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHTS ARE ON. WHEN I RUN THE DIAGNOSTIC NO CODES ARE COMING UP, AND IT SAYS THE CAR IS FINE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE MALFUNCTION. SEVERAL OTHERS IN ONLINE FORUMS HAVE DESCRIBED THE SAME ISSUES WITH 2013-14 IMPALAS.
MY 2014 CHEVY IMPALA MISFIRES WHILE DRIVING AND LOSES AND REGAINS POWER WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND IT IS THE ROCKER ARM CONTROL VALVE SOLENOIDS. I DID SOME RESEARCH IT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR 2014/2015 IMPALAS AND MALIBU'S. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND CAN CAUSE ACCIDENTS. ALSO, THIS PART HAS BEEN ON BACKORDER FOR SEVERAL MONTHS SO OWNERS ARE HAVING TO DRIVE WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL.
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND DASH NOTIFICATION POPPED UP THAT I NEEDED TO SERVICE MY POWER STEERING, SERVICE MY STABILTRAC, SERVICE ABS. I LOST POWER (ELECTRIC) STEERING AND BARELY ABLE TO EXIT AND PARK SAFELY. I'M A SMALL WOMAN WITH NOT MUCH STRENGTH AND I COULD HARDLY TURN MY WHEEL WITH EVERY BIT OF MUSCLE. THIS IS NOT SAFE! I COULD'VE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DIED ALONG WITH OTHER DRIVERS/VEHICLES! THIS NEEDS TO BE A COMPLETE RECALL!!!!
THE VEHICLE HAD WATER DAMAGE FROM 'CLOGGED SUNROOF DRAINS', WHICH CAUSE WATER TO RUN ALL DOWN THE SIDE AND BACK PANELS CAUSING AN EXTENSIVE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE FROM ONE HORRIBLE DESIGN FLAW. SOME OF THE THINGS EFFECTED WAS ELECTRICAL COMPANY'S SUCH AS ELECTRONIC PARKING BREAK WAS ENGAGED AND WOULD NOT RELEASE CAUSE THE VEHICLE NOT TO MOVE! NEXT WAS CORROSION ON SEVERAL OTHER INSIDE WIRES HAVING TO DO WITH STEERING AND POSSIBLY AIR BAGS, BUT WHO KNOWS IF THEY WILL BE EFFECTIVE UNTIL THERE IS AN ACCIDENT AND IT'S TOO LATE TO FIND OUT IF THEY ARE DMAMGED. OTHER SAFETY FEATURES SUCH AS SIDE DETECTION WAS CORRODED SO IT TOO MALFUNCTIONED. THERE WAS A LOT OF OTHER ELECTRICAL THINGS DAMAGED BUT THE CAR IS IN THE SHOP AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE COULD BE A HUGE SAFE CONCERN. THERE IS NOW SO MUCH MOLD WHICH IS DANGEROUS TO BE...
I WAS RIDING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 60MPH WHEN MY CAR REDUCED SPEED TO 34MPH AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH A STABILITRAK WARNING BLINKING. I ALSO HAD A BIT OF SHAKE IN MY VEHICLE WHEN IT CAME ON AND SLOWED DOWN.
THE BLIND SPOT DETECTION SENSOR IS CORRODING AND SHORTING OUT. IT IS CAUSING OTHER SYSTEMS ON THE CAR TO SHOW ERROR MESSAGES AND FAILURES LIKE THE AIR BAG AND TRACTION SYSTEM WELL DRIVING. IT ALSO KEEPS BLOWING FUSES. THIS SENSOR WAS NEVER PROPERLY PROTECTED FROM THE ELEMENTS. IT ALSO COST OVER $800 TO REPLACE ONE OF THEM. I KNOW THIS IS THE PROBLEM BECAUSE I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THEM BEFORE AND IT IS HAPPENING THE EXACT SAME WAY.
STABILITRAK SERVICE NOTIFICATION ON DASH APPEARED ALONG WITH LOST POWER STEERING, ABS LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON.
I HAVE A TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON, ALSO THE ABS LIGHT IS ON, AND I GET A STABILITRACK WARNING.
WHEN DRIVING THE WARNING SENSOR CAME ON ON SAYING POWER STEERING AND STAB TRACK PROBLEM. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND CAME INCHES FROM AN ACCIDENT. MY STEERING WAS NOT NORMAL AND FOUND IT VERY HARD TO STEER AROUND CAR IN FRONT OF ME THAT SLAMMED ON BREAKS. THEN I PULLED OVER TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND GOT WARNING THAT FRONT CAMERA WASN'T WORKING...I DON'T HAVE A FRONT CAMERA! THEN WHEN I BACKED OUT OF THAT DRIVEWAY IT GAVE WARNING THAT MY REAR CAMERA WARNING SENSORS WERE NOT WORKING. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR.

THEY RECENTLY HAD A RECALL FOR THE 2014 CHEVY IMPALA FOR THE BRAKES NOT DISENGAING THE ROTORS CAUSING NOT VERY GOOD DRIVABLE CONDTIONS, BUT WHEN I CALLED AND HAVE THEM MY GIN NUMBER IT SAYS MINE DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL BUT MY CAR IS DOING THE VERY EXACT THING. AND IT DOES THIS WHILE DRIVING AND LIKE IT STATED CAN CAUSE YOUR WHEEL TO BURN AND THAT'S WHAT HAPPEN TO MY CAR.

I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM GM REGARDING AN ELECTRICAL RECALL ON MY 2014 CHEVY IMPALA 2014. THERE IS WATER DAMAGE IN SIDE DETECTION SENORS, WHICH ARE UNDERNEATH THE 2 BACK TIRES. WATER DAMAGE THAT HAS CAUSE ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH EVERY ELECTRICAL PART OF THE CAR. SPEEDOMETER GOES OFF WHILE DRIVING LIGHTS GO OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING. SENSORS ARE BEEPING WHILE DRIVING RADIO GETS LOUD TURNS OFF AND ON ON ITS OWN. AIRBAG WARNINGS WHILE DRIVING, BATTERY SHUTS DOWN. ITS A MESS.
WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND THE HIGHWAY, THE STABLITRAX LIGHTS COME ON THEN SERVICE INDICATORS DISPLAYS: SERVICE STABLITRAX, FRONT CAMERA, AND POWER STEERING. THE CAR SLOWS DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY AND THE POWER STEERING THEN LOCKS UP UNTIL YOU DISMISS ALL OF THE CODES. THEN YOU CAN HEAR A CLICKING THAT SOUNDS LIKE THE CAR IS TRYING TO RESTART. IT HAPPENS SPORADICALLY. I TOOK IT TO A SHOP AND HE STATED TO CHECK FOR RECALLS BECAUSE THERE HAVE BEEN QUITE A FEW IMPALAS BEING BROUGHT IN FOR THE SAME REASON. I CONTACTED CHEVY AND THEY STATED THAT THERE ARE NO KNOWN RECALLS FOR MY MAKE AND MODEL.
DRIVING CAR MADE RIGHT TURN AND LOST POWER STEERING. SERVICE INDICATOR TEXT APPEARED TO WARN ME. TRACK CONTROL AND STABITRACK WAS ALSO AFFECTED.
TAKATA RECALL. STABLINK FIRST CAME ON MY CAR WHEN DRIVING ON A CITY ROAD IT WAS SHAKING DID NOT WANT TO PICK UP SPEED. HAD THAT FIXED, THEN 9/2018 MY SIDE BLINDERS STARTED MALFUNCTIONING WOULD COME ON AND OFF. AT TIMES ONE WOULD JUST STAY ON EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF. RECEIVED A LETTER 4/2019 ABOUT EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THIS BUT ONLY GOOD FOR 80,000 MILES. MY CAR HAS 98,000 MILES. SO HERE I AM STUCK TO HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET.

MECHANIC FOUND LEFT REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR RING BROKEN. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN! THERE ARE 50215 MILES ON THIS CAR AND IT IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED.

THE PROBLEM OF GOING FROM PARK TO MANUAL OR FROM BEING IN DRIVE TO MANUAL HAS HAPPENED BOTH WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION OR WHEN IT IS STATIONARY- IT'S ALSO HAPPENED ON A BUSY HIGHWAY OR IN TOWN AT LOW SPEED.
STABILITRACK HAS BEEN MESSING UP SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN OCTOBER 2018. MY CAR IS SCARY TO DRIVE. SOMETIMES ITS NOT CLEAR WHAT GEAR I'M IN. THE CAR STARTS MOVING, AND THE WHEEL FREES UP AND THE LIGHT GOES OUT. THIS IS EVERY TIME I'M TURNING LEFT AFTER FROM A STOPPED POSITION.

BIGGEST ISSUE IS WHEEL BEARINGS MOST RECENTLY LASTED 2 WEEKS BEFORE NEEDED WARRANTY WORK AGAIN FOR THE 6TH TIME. CRUISE CONTROL STICKS SEAT BELT RECIPTICAL STICKS WONT STAY LOCKED IN SOMETIMES HESITATES WHEN SHIFTING OR GETTING GETTING UP TO SPEED THIS WHILE VEHICLE IN MOTION DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. LOCKING MECHANISM TO LOCK VEHICLE DOESNT WORK ONLY UNLOCK FUNCTION MOST WORK PREFORMED OVER PAST 2 -3 YEARS AT PEPBOYS. SOME OTHER REPAIR SHOP. BEEN ISSUE ONGOING LAST 2-3 YEARS... UNRESOLVED

THE POWER STEERING HAPPEND TODAY AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS HAPPENED OCCASIONALLY IN THE PAST COUPLE MONTHS.
MILEAGE: 89000 CUSTOMER RECEIVED A LETTER FROM GM STATING AN EXTENDED WARRANTY IS NOW AVAILABLE REGARDING THE SIDE BLIND ZONE DETECTION SYSTEM ERROR THAT DISPLAYS OVER THE ENTIRE DASH DISPLAY PANEL. THE WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED TO 6 YEARS FROM THE DATE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN SERVICE AND 80,000 MILES. MANY OF THE VEHICLES AFFECTED BY THIS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE AT JUST OVER 80,000 MILES OR HAVE GONE PAST 80,000 MILES DUE TO GM'S LACK OF A TIMELY RESPONSE TO THIS ISSUE THAT HAS AFFECTED SEVERAL PEOPLE. THE SERVICE SIDE DETECTION MESSAGE APPEARS UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE AND REMAINS TO BLOCK THE DIGITAL INFO CENTER UNTIL IT IS DISMISSED BY THE DRIVER WHO HAS TO MOVE THE THUMB TO PRESS THE BUTTON. THIS MESSAGE ALSO RE-APPEARS AFTER DRIVING FOR SEVERAL MILES CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOOK AWAY FROM THE ROAD TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ALERT. THE REAR SIDE DETECTION MODULES WERE...
WHEN DRIVING, LOSS OF POWER STEERING, ABS, STABILITRACK. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY PROBLEM. THIS ISSUE DOES NOT MATTER ON ROAD CONDITIONS. IT HAPPENS WHENEVER. THE RING ON THE BACK OF THE WHEEL BEARING GETS WEATHER ELEMENTS BEHIND IT (MOSTLY TALKING ABOUT WATER IN THE WINTER THEN FREEZES). THIS CAUSE THE RING TO BREAK. ONCE THIS RING IS BROKE. I AM ASSUMING THE ABS CANT KEEP TRACK OF THE VEHICLE'S MOTION. IT THEN THROWS THE CODES. TO TELL DO A VISIBLE INSPECTION LOOKING FOR THE RING TO BE COMPROMISED. DON'T WORRY YOUR WHEEL BEARING MIGHT NOT BE BAD. YOU JUST HAVE TO GO TO CHEVY AND SPEND 190$ ON A NEW WHEEL BEARING.
A FEW PROBLEMS. WHEEL BEARING SENORS GO BAD EFFECTING POWER STEERING AND STABILITY CONTROL. REPLACED 3 WHEEL BEARING ON DIFFERENT WHEELS IN PAST 12 MONTHS. ALSO 20" RIMS WITH LOW PRO TIRES ARE A PROBLEM. HAD 2 PLOW OUTS IN PAST 6 MONTHS WHEN HITTING POT HOLES AND DAMAGED 3 RIMS. VERY COSTLY TO BUY RIMS AT $650 A PIECE AND TIRES AT $230 EACH. A SAFETY PROBLEM NOT KNOWING IF YOU WILL HAVE A TIRE PLOW OUT BECAUSE OF A ROUGH ROAD OR POT HOLE IN THE ROAD. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING 54 YEARS AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS BEFORE. CAR WAS IN MOTION WITH WHEEL BEARING PROBLEM AND TIRE AND RIM PROBLEM. AT DIFFERENT TIMES I WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY. THIS PROBLEM HAPPEN AT DIFFERENT TIMES BUT MOST RECENT 5/5/19
STABILITYTRAK MESSAGE CAME ON. LOST POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING.
WE I PURCHASED THE CAR THEY HAD CHANGED THE WHEEL BEARINGS AND SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD TO TAKE IT BACK AND HAVE IT SERVICED FOR THE SAME THING SEVERAL TIMES. I CHANGED OUT THE HUB ASSEMBLY FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND NOW JUST LIKE BEFORE THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS ON AND THE ABS LIGHT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. I TURNED INTO OUR LOCAL WALMART AND THE CAR JUST STOPPED AND WOULD NOT GO.
THE BLINDSPOT DETECTION SYSTEM MODULE FAILED AND IT MESSED UP ALL MY ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IN THE CAR THW SPEEDOMETER RPM AND FUEL AND TEMPERATURE GAUGES BOTTOMED OUT TO 0. ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON . THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION DOING 79 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE. ON STAR THOUGHT I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT.
CAR STARTED SMOKING FROM THE BUMPER AREA AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM GOING NUTS. CAR WAS SLUGGISH AND ACTING WEIRD. ALL GAUGES AND INSTRUMENT PANEL GOING OFF AND ON. DOOR LOCKS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING. CRUISE ENABLE THEN DISABLE. INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM SCREEN GLITCHING OUT. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THE SIDE DETECTION MODULE AND WIRING HARNESS IS BAD WHERE IT GOT WET. THE LOCATION LEAVES IT EXPOSED TO WATER FROM THE ROADWAY AND CAN CAUSE FIRE HAZARD. VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARY DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ALL THIS HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY
THIS HAS NOW OCCURRED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. WHEN MY CAR IS IN MOTION, THE STABILITRACK LIGHTS FLICKER ON AND MY CAR BEGINS TO LOSE POWER. I CANNOT DRIVE OVER 35 MILES PER HOUR TOPS, INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS ON THE FREEWAYS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!
EVERY WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD BECAME ILLUMINATED. LOST POWER STEERING, CAR BECAME SLUGGISH, LACKED SPEED, AND POWER. BRAKING CONTROL WAS LIMITED. VEHICLE WAS DRIVE ABLE ONLY IN LIMP MODE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STABILITRAK WAS FAULTY AND THE VEHICLE WOULD ONLY SHIFT INTO DRIVE. ALSO, THE RADIO AND HEAT FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, IT RESET ITSELF; HOWEVER, THE STABILITRAK INDICATOR WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE. ALL THE OTHER WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
SIDE TRAFFIC DETECTION SYSTEM IS INOPERATIVE. CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR 15 DAYS AS OF THIS WRITING . WE ARE BEING TOLD THE CONTROL MODULES TO REPAIR THE DEFECT IS NOT AVAILABLE. WE ARE ELDERLY AND CANNOT BE WITHOUT THE USE OF A CAR.
WHILE DRIVING, SEVERAL FUNCTIONS IN THE CAR WILL TURN OFF. FUNCTIONS INCLUDE HEATING/ COOLING SYSTEM, LIGHTS (DASHBOARD LIGHTS), DOORS LOCK/ UNLOCK AND COLLISION SYSTEMS TURNS OFF. I'VE RESEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND SEVERAL OTHER CUSTOMERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES RANGING BACK TO 2018. I'VE TAKING MY CAR TO A GM DEALERSHIP AND FOUND THAT THE SENSOR MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I ALSO FOUND THE SENSOR IS ON BACK ORDER, WHICH MAKES ME BELIEVE THIS IS A LARGER ISSUE THAN I THOUGHT AND SOME ONE NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER. DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY AND SEVERAL SECURITY FEATURES START TO TURN OFF IS DANGEROUS.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE MESSAGE CENTER POPPED UP THE SERVICE POWER ASSIST STEERING, AND THE ABS AND STABILITRAK WERE ALSO DEACTIVATED. THIS ALL HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 55MPH IN A STRAIGHT LINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE DOOR LOCKS KEPT LOCKING AND UNLOCKING, THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT, WHILE DRIVING, BUT THE MOTOR KEPT RUNNING. MY WIFE MADE IT HOME. THE (FOR ABOUT 13 TO 15 SECONDS) NEXT MORNING SHE TOOK IT TO WORK, ON THE WAY IT STALLED AND WOULD NOT START. CONSUMER REPLACED THE BATTERY AND STILL IT WOULD NOT START. BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START, AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE BLIND SIDE SENSOR WAS CORRODED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO UNPLUG THE WIRING HARNESS FROM THE BLIND SIDE SENSOR. AFTER UNPLUGGING THE WIRING HARNESS, THE VEHICLE WAS OPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
