Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that during cold starts, there was an abnormal clanking sound coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that the sound was heard for several seconds before self-correcting. The contact determined that the failure was caused by faulty cam phasers. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 49,860.
