Consumer Description
The contact's son owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon start the vehicle, there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the front-end of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with faulty cam phasers. The contact was informed that the cam phasers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact discovered Customer Satisfaction Program: 21N03; which was linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
