Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while cold starting the vehicle, the vehicle was vibrating and was idling rough. The contact stated that there was an abnormal ticking sound coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the cam phasers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to Customer Satisfaction Program: 21N03 GTDI Engine Cam Phaser Replacement (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 148,362.
