NHTSA Complaint #11544349 — 2017 FORD EDGE

I recently bought a 2017 Ford Edge back May 2022, my flex plate broke at 121,000 miles and the manufacturer will not cover it after 120,000 at all. I see this is an issue with many of these Ford edges. They are saying it’s a “customer satisfaction program” not a recall. I don’t understand why not, when it is in fact, a safety issue and the flex plate was a recall before back in 2018 for this same model vehicle. This caused my whole transmission to go due to this issue within an hour of hearing rattling then metal grinding and now it’s in a shop not drivable, I thankfully got home and put my car in park in my driveway and then my car wouldn’t move.
