NHTSA Complaint #11534760 — 2019 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that there was knocking sound coming from the front end of the vehicle at start-up. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the cam phasers had failed, and that the failure was related to a Customer Satisfaction Program included in NHTSA ID Number: 10204046 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the vehicle was not included. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the vehicle was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
