Consumer Description

The contact’s mother owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 5 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where there was no cause for the failure determined. On another occasion, the contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a cracked engine block. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the coolant temperature and engine warning lights were illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
