NHTSA Complaint #11510041 — 2021 CHRYSLER PACIFICA PLUG-IN HYBRID

The contact owns a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The contact received notification from Carfax of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V010000 (Electrical System, Hybrid Propulsion System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power with the Service Charging System and Shift to Park messages displayed. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle coasted onto the shoulder of the roadway; however, the vehicle failed to restart when the Auto Start/Stop button was depressed, and the brake pedal was depressed. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after releasing the brake pedal while the Auto Start/Stop button was depressed; however, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the error codes were reset. The dealer determined that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V010000 (Electrical System, Hybrid Propulsion System) but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was 34,374. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
