NHTSA Complaint #11559866 — 2021 CHRYSLER PACIFICA PLUG-IN HYBRID

The contact owns a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the roadway. The vehicle was restarted but failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle was not able to exceed 3 MPH. The vehicle stalled three additional times. The vehicle was restarted each time. The check engine and reduced power warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the APIM module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer notified the manufacturer of the failure and was asked to perform more tests. The manufacturer declined to approve the repairs on the vehicle. The failure mileage was 53,000.
